  1. 272 degree cams for a RB20 running a RB25 turbo is overkill and a waste of money. You will need solid lifters, springs and might as well do valves and guides to do it properly, the amount of money that is going to cost is a complete waste for such a small turbo. Should have gone 256's which are a direct bolt in and don't need anything replaced and would work a lot better with such a small turbo.
  2. Microtech LT12S with plug and play room for the RB25 is a good buy at around $1500.
  3. Yeah mate that seems pretty decent considering your running a standard dump pipe.
  4. If i havn't killed myself in my car by the end of uni *knock on wood*, a second hand black H3 for cruising with mates in and keep the 33 for a fun weekend car. That's the plan anyway Then a R35 one day
  5. Back to the original topic, those full faced rims look very unatural on a skyline and don't suit it what so ever, completely ruin the lines of the 33. But that's my opinon, like most of the other opinions on here, however you asked for opinions so there you go. Back to the drug dealer/autosalon/ignition topic lol. Obviously this is only true for a small percentage of cars, however i do know for a fact that one of the igniton cars featured a while ago now, (100K+ car) owned by a very young person was infact built with drug money so yeah, it sometimes is true. (I really hate drugs and drug dealers, bloody pathetic people).

Legally because they are not foglights and just driving lights they are not illegal, i always drive with mine on at night and have been pulled up numerous times by police and never been questioned about them (thats QLD, not sure on other states, but would assume its the same). So if a cop starts making a fuss about it just explain they are driving lights and pretty much point straight in front of the car and cannot affect other drivers in anyway because they are the same as you low beams, last time i checked its not illegal to have your lights on...
  8. Hmm f**k doing that option to a Volk Rim. I was thinking more of the lines of undoing the two piece rim, and moving the centre piece back to give it more dish and more of a negative offset. This even possible or am i dreaming? Because if something like that was only a few hundred bucks id be up for it.
  9. Main reason because they are not foglights. They are driving lights and do not use a high beam/high wattage bulb. They are the same wattage and same bulb as your low beams, a H1. And no you cant adjust them.
  10. How much does something like this cost? Say to get a Volk GTC modified to get more of a negative offset? Might make a phonecall on monday to sus it out.

  12. You are joking about the don't make power remark aren't you? Bolt on a twin turbo kit onto a LS1 with just upgraded valve springs and you'll see 400rwkw. Bolt one onto a LS2 and you'll see 450-500rwkw.....How on earth is that not power?

  15. Looks nice. Front bar is way to much like a normal VE commodore, should be more unique for a "New Monaro". The back looks a bit too arched, very similar to the Mercedes CLK coupe. Interior looks very nice, ,love those seats. Love the pillarless look between the windows, not sure how strong that would be for the roof though.... Overall looks good though for a concept.
  16. What ECU are you running man? You said its going to get tuned soon, so its running on a stock ECU? Or aftermarket? My turbo used to run on stock ECU and would overboost like a bitch due to the ECU retarding the timing. Microtech went in, no more overboosting

Lol ummm no. Yes quite a bit laggier, expect power to come on around 5500-6000rpm (talking like 150-200rwkw) and make peak power between 7500-8000rpm Yes it will be fine for both turbos however id suggest anything over a T88, IMO a T88 is only good for a drag car/dyno queen/posers for the street. What's the car going to be used for?
  18. Quick question Racebreed, and im not trying to make fun of you. Have you ever been in a skyline with 300rwkw? If not why did you choose this number? 300rwkw in a skyline is a lot of power, and for you to jump from your previous cars to the skyline is going to be a big enough power upgrade. Once you get used to this, add some more power, maybe 200rwkw, once you get used to this and want more, maybe aim for 250rwkw and see how you like it. Don't just randomly pick 300rwkw when you have no idea what it feals like. A sudden mistake in a car with that much power will see you kick out and spin the car, trust me, i've been in plenty of cars with that much power or even more (dads monaro has 370rwkw) and when pushing them to the limit it takes a lot of concentration and skill to not get urself killed. Your budget is not going to allow you to get all the mods you have listed like many people have said. When you consider everything you will need to make the car with that much power not be a ticking time bomb or the rest of the car not being able to keep up (ie suspension, brakes, diff, clutch). Just don't rush into anything and get used to your own car before you set out to get a number on a dyno sheet for bragging rights but not being able to actually control the car when your in it. Just my 2cents worth.

  22. Did anyone else find it a bit weird them saying you only need 230rwkw out of a GTST to do an 11 second pass? Has anyone ran a 11 second pass with only 230rwkw?
