  1. God I hate it too! It's only the drivers door, if you've noticed? I guess it's for obvious reasons, as it beeps to let you know that the keys are still in the ignition. With such a fancy hookup, I recken clipping the wire to the piezzo buzzer might be the go... now we've just gotta find the fooker!
  2. But my fingers are priceless! ;o) Cool, thanks... there's a switch, but is it IN the gearbox, or on the outside? I can see a couple of wires plugged onto the side of the gearbox.
  3. Oh yeah? That kinda sounds like there is one little bulb in there that lights them all up.... considering ALL of mine don't illuminate, and yours all died together.
  4. Hey all! Just after some advice on what the likely cause is. (R33) My reverse lights don't come one when i'm reversing. The globe on the right-side is fine, but I haven't checked the other side. I assume they both run off a general fuse along with indicators and so on? If they have their own fuse, then i'll have to start checking fuses. If they share a common ground, i'll remove the carpet and check the other globe. I guess I really don't want it to be the sensor in the gearbox... that would suck. ============ Other question! Do the climate control buttons light up when the headlights are on? My window auto up/down lights up OK. The symbols on the buttons look like the translucent white that allows light through, so I recken it should If it *should*, does anyone know if there are globes behind the buttons, how many and how easy it is to change? Thanks!
  5. Nuts, I downloaded the three races from one year in Bathurst. There was a link to them in a post on SAU, but I can't find it now. All three races, both GTR's were well ahead and won, and it was the race highlights of those three races. You can buy the whole DVD off eBay quite cheaply though. If I can find it, i'll reply again.
  6. Thanks again, guys! I spoke to a guy at Strathfield car radio before posting this up, and he also said that there are "bass tubes" that I can buy and fit in there. I kinda reserved that space for an amp though... i'll keep you posted!
  7. Damo and Evil, thanks very much for the quick reply! I'm looking at a Clarion HU with the two pair of RCA outs, and I have a BOSS amp which has two pairs of RCA inputs. EDIT: That answers my question perfectly, thanks! Cheers guys!
  8. Hey guys and gals! I'm planning to run my amp in my newly-purchased R33, without a sub. (there is far less room in the boot than my previous car) I want to run two pairs of RCA cables from the headunit, into the boot, and into the amp, then run the speakers off the amp. My question is: Will a headunit be able to fade front/rear when running like this? I'm under the impression that RCA line outs from a headunit are a "stable line", with no modification to the signal via the headunit (bass/treble). I do know that the RCA output volume was fixed with the speaker output volume when I was running a sub in my last car. (EDIT: they both changed volume together.) Do headunits with dual RCA outputs allow you to fade front/rear via RCA? Thanks!
  9. Try speaking with the user called "japp_imports" on these forums. He brings in imports and has quite a lot of spares. He doesn't have a LOT of interior bits, but he might have a few things that you may want. From memory, he's based out of Penrith?
  10. "...the Nissan Skyline GTR "Unlimited" will be one of the fastest street car ever built" Doesn't that suggest that it will be made street-legal?
  11. A bigger battery (move battery clamp over to the bigger setting) is a good idea if you get something over the stock ~280CCA level. Failing this, you can buy large capacitators from car audio places which can smooth out issues you may run into. If your headlights dim with a hard bass-hit, run the big capacitator. If you run into problems with your stereo after that, then change the battery... you may not need to change it at all! Oh... I think the battery clamps are the "smaller" size to accept "small" post batteries... you may need to change the clamps over to brass/gold "large" terminals (which usually have other inputs on the terminal for power wires such as amps)
  12. I don't have any proof on hand, but I've heard from several sources that the split system is better. The face of the flange already has two holes, so the other two on the dump pipe should line up and not create any additional resistance. Come to think of it... someone is selling these in the "for sale" section. He put up figures of power output comparing the two systems, and some dyno sheets... have a look around there!
  13. Since the bonnet shape is different, wouldn't you need to change it along with the front bar? That could get expensive! =-o
  14. LOL! I'd like to think that people change their exhaust for the performance benefits, not just for audible bling-factor =-p My car has a stock exhaust (for the moment) and I quite like it! Not as beefy/lumpy as my VP V8, but deep enough that you can hear it working... and it doesn't drown out my stereo! Most people tend to go for a 3" system, all mandrel bent, usually with a 5" tip on the rear muffler/cannon... I find that pretty loud if you are running an aftermarket dump pipe and a high-flow cat as well. It sounds nice when you really put the boot in though!
  15. bump? Surely someone has one they aren't using due to a bigger turbo upgrade? =-[ Cheers!
  16. I have a mate who will be selling his soon. Located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. How much did you want to pay for them? I think he's going to stick them on eBay, but if the price is right he may change his mind. =-]
  17. Anyone wrecking or have one spare from an R33? I assume there's no difference between s2 and s1. I am in Sydney, and willing to pay for shipping. Thanks!
  18. Is this the heatshield for the turbo? If so, can you ship to the Northern Beaches of Sydney? Cheers!
  19. Where are you located? Carbon gear-knob, so it's manual? Any scratches or dents? If you are in NSW, could you please email me some piccies? (in and out) srandy(at)optushome.com.au Cheers!
  20. Pretty MotorSports is kinda odd, but how many girls want to walk around wearing a shirt with THAT acronym on it?
  21. Thanks, James! Boy we get it rough eh? Another three grand for our compliancing! =-o
