  1. RB20 neo would not be worth all the trouble. Wouldn't it be worth paying a little more for insurance and getting an RB25DE Neo?
  2. I disagree. Some things are still physically limited. Like turbo flutter happens because air travels backwards out of the turbo and out of the AFM. There is no way for an ecu to know which way the air is travelling through the AFM.
  3. Why would you want to do this? Have you got a single turbo setup? if so, you're prob better off going with a J-Detro PFC with a map sensor.
  4. WTF! can't you just sand them back or something? seems like a huge waste to me.
  5. If you haven't allready got rid of the stock one, put that back on to plumb back just for the epa test.
  6. That's when air is going backwards through the afm and the ece registers it as air going in. Still waiting to hear how this can be tuned out.
  7. I know what fluttering is and how it comes about but i'm more interested it this 'surging' that can apparently be tuned out.
  8. I'm curious how tuning can fix it too. I assume that the surge you guys are talking about is when you very slightly back off the throttle, it flutters and the car sort of shudders. my S14 does that too and i wanna get rid of it.
  9. Sounds like u need a turbo timer. If u want the turbo to last as long as possible, you need to leave the car idling so that oil keeps pumping through the turbo while it spins down then turn the car off.
  10. Hi, I have a friend that just bought a very tidy R33 GTR from Japan and it's on its way here. He wants to make big power (hoping for 3xx rwkw). It's pretty obvious it's gonna need a big exhaust from the turbo's back, boost controller etc. etc. but I'm more after recommendations on which garrett turbo's to get and whether or not aftermarket cams are necessary. I am very familiar with Silvia's etc and just want to know what GTR-specific things it needs. Thanks, Brad
