  1. I'd say yes. I did mine about 10 times to start with, each time getting better and better until it was perfectly clear. When they are wet do they look good? Usually they do and that suggests that everything is on the outside. Might I add they didnt look too bad when I saw your car at Auto Perfection the other day, nice car. They didnt put a sticker on my car, did you get one?
  2. I agree. Mine were really bad when I got the car, my mechanic said to hit it with some 1200 wet/ dry, then cut and polish. They are as clear as glass now, looks so much better. I usually cut and polish them every few months as they start to go a bit cloudy again.
  3. I have always had joy with Ascot Auto Wreckers (28 Deloraine Road, Edwardstown 5039, ph. 8374 3377) for my fleet of dattos but not sure what they would have for the 260c. Otherwise try the Datsun 1200 site, I have also found a lot of stuff there. Cheers
  4. Ok this will seem stupid but how the hell do you leave a trader rating? Cheers for the tint by the way, looks great.
  5. I know! I always see a white R33 in St Marys near where I work, has a big SAU sticker on the side window. Looks really nice, so nice I dont like my car to be seen anywhere near it.
  6. Have fun with that! The best method I have found (after peeling off the old tint) is to use degreaser and a razor blade to remove the glue.
  7. Sweeet im booked in for friday. Thanks again!
  8. Ha ha gold. As for cleaning windows my mate used to tint windows for a living and he would praise people that did some of the prep work themselves, saves them heaps of time. I will take my door trims off and clean the windows before I take it in, saves them 15 minutes or so per car. Cheers
  9. Has anyone paid yet? I can put the $$ in whenever but dont want it too all fall through if we dont get enough people going in. When is it likely to get done, the sun is a bit hot with a black car!
  10. Count me in, thats bloody cheap. My mate went there for an alarm and he found them good to deal with.
  11. Looks like it has a sr20 by where the rear spoiler was. Looks great!
  12. Close??? Type in 'gt autosound/dls r34 skyline' into www.google.com.au and you will see it. Would post a link but work blocks most of the sites its on. Saw it in Adelaide, it looks pretty nice and makes huge power. Its a drifter, this is proof that people have too much money and/ or are insane.
  13. I have got stock suspension and exhaust but someone else is borrowing it at the moment to get complied! If your not sorted when I get it back you can borrow it. Should be within a couple of weeks.
  14. Dont worry I used the online whitepages, what the hell is a printed book these days anyway.
  15. Old fashion white pages? # Boost Worx Hi Performance Engineering # 57 Boothby St Panorama 5041 # (08) 8299 0621 Edit: i was beaten to it!
  16. Hmmm how many can I remember? Defected for......... Unsecured brake line on the front strut Low brake fluid Small patch of oil on the diff In the Datto - non retractable seat belts after I replaced the worn ones, had to get a custom made Unsecured parcel shelf, although it was behind the seat it just wasn't bolted down Worn tie rod end Guage mounted below the dash - danger to the knee in a crash apparently That's a few of the more fun ones, obviously there has been the usual blow off valve, too loud, too low, too good, etc. I also got a fine for 'failing to maintain adequate control of a vehicle blah blah blah', although just because it was sideways doesnt mean I was not in control.
  17. Absolutely true, I have found if you don't like the initial answer call back again later. First person wanted approx. $1500 yearly because I was rating 2, second person said I was rating 1 and only had to pay $890/ year.
  18. Im not 100% on the exact rule but I have known people to get defected for vents etc on the bonnet or guards. A guy in a pulsar ET had a flush mounted vent in the bonnet and was defected because 'it was dangerous to pedestrians'. All GTiR's should be defected no?
