im not 100% sure myself but i know when u put a larger exhoust on the car the boost does rise a bit. so this has me thinking that maybe once your standard dumps and exhoust gets hot you get a restriction hence the .6 instead of .8.

hey guys. i have a rb25det s1 going into a cefiro. i want roughly 400hp. now the questiion. im getting a hks to4s turbo with a .73 (roughly that size rear) turbo and i want to know if this is capable of 400hp at the wheels. i know the turbo is old but it has just been rebuilt and its the right price. i originally bought a garret gt3082r with a .63 rear for my rb20 but decided not to whip a dead horse. i read that this turbo has compressor surge issues on rb25s???? anyway if some one could throw some knowledge my way i will be cheering. my understanding was the track was leased to who ever ran it and thats why it is now up for development because the owners (gov) will make a bundle. if thats correct that probably why you saw no maintnance as the tennants were probably only allowed to do so much and anything major would have to go through the owners who have probably known they were going to put houses there for a long time. i know indy or a1 is attracting heaps on the coast cause its a party town to begin with and they are putting on more events. u got the porches and the a1 plus demos and now a drift track at the car park which is expected to get huge numbers aswell as everyone is there for a 3 day weekend on the coast. homebush would want to offer more than a day at the races and a bus ride home.

is that a realy cost effective way of doing it then or is that basically your only option. part and parcel.

the dip stick doesnt go any further down man. think of the sump as an attachment. just fill it till your dipstick says its correct. thats what i would do. well i would put a 25 sump on f**k buying that much oil.

well 380 from nexus or 540 from high octane. though the ones from nexus say they are made from the ross machine wich is what hi octane sell. what to do.....

hey guys got a s1 rb25det and i am rebuilding it and i want to do it once and right. ive read a bit and i see that harmonic balancers suprisingly play a big role in motors. so i have looked up ross balancers but i dont think they do rb25s??? what brand do you reccomend and who sells them at good prices. im in bris but i dont think it matters where i get it from as i can just get it posted. yes i did search but im retarded and probably went right past this exact thread. sorry if that the case haha. cheers, Steve.

oh man that sucks. well i bought the turbo a long time ago for an rb20 and never put it on so i will see how it goes and maybe upgrade to a better turbo later.

oh man all this bad chat about the gt3082r makes me wish i got somthing else. how do u think it would go on a built bottom end rb25. reasonably big fuel system. it has a .62rear on it.

im thinking it will spin the same when on full boost no matter what engine it is in. i probably wouldnt push it

may sound stupid but have you check behind it to see if it is actually hooked up?

yeah i have the 3082r with the .63 rear on it so it will be iteresting to see what you get. i bought it over a year ago now
