  1. tell you what uf these are the figures we are getting now i cant wait to see what we will be getting in 5 years. thats top work and i might make the trip to willowbank or even qr to see this thing have a go. does it still have interior and all that. also what power figures does the heat treatments gtr have, the one with the record?

  3. just leave your airbox and upgrade the standard side mount, you doing track work? high flow the standard turbo and get bigger injectors and pfc and your laughing. bingo bango job done and car still looks standardish.
  4. so should i do something like an n1 oil pump and then some how sort out better drainage back to the sump at the back of the motor?

  6. i did a search and went back to about mid 07 and thought no point going further back due to development. or i typed the wrong shit in. any ways i have an rb25det s1 pulled down and it will be rebuilt with pistons and rods, bearings, studs, gaskets of major brands. the motor will see drift work plus track/grip. is there anything i should spend my money on to avoid say oil problems or somthing simialr which is easy to fix but can cause big problems if i dont. any help you can give would be great. cheers, steve.
  7. well he did say budget. go kkr they have a bit more of a track record in aus. i know of a few drifters who have had theirs for a year with no worries, although much more than that and ur probably pushing it. but hey u can buy 2 and still save money unless when it breaks it breaks more than itself.
  8. well the crank is touching it when the motor is off but thats on everything so there is no avoiding it i guess. too hard i swhat i meant sorry. well its some chat i have heard so i thought i would ask you lot. so far they are no problem providing they are set up correct etc. Cheers guys.
  9. lads, building a bottom end on a 25 and the talk on the town is that acl race bearings are too strong and after a while damage the crank. your thoughts and suggestions?
  10. maybe when it opens its not holding the set psi. so say you set it too 13psi and it opoens then but then drops it down to like 10psi or somthing similar. maybe throw it on a dyno?
  11. i got quoted $1400 from gt auto for the hks unit. the issue is not everyone can tune that ecu and i supose that is the same for a few of the options i am limiting myself to. i dont know im still torn on what to get.

  15. hey lads, Soon i will be putting a series 1 rb25 into my cefiro with the following mods attached. intercooler, air filter, 850cc high impedence injectors, 040 pump, fuel press reg, hks head gasket, arp bolts, spool rods, acl forged pistons, king bearings, ss high mount, gt3082r (3040) with a .62 rear, profec b spec 2, 40mm ex gate. Now i am unsure on what computer to go with. this may have been a topic already covered on here and i did a bit of a search but with not satisfactory results. I want to avoid using an air flow meter and im happy to spend up to about 1500 for the computer. I have had people suggest the Autronic, hks fcon is, power fc, haltech. im sorta stumped and would love to get some advice from dudes who have been through this process. any help much appreciated. Cheers guys.
  16. if its no drama spending a bit more than go for the fresh block. arnt the n1's a stronger block? if so i guess that would be preferable.
  17. a 1j weighs less than an rb20 im pretty sure. 1j's are super tough motors but i guess naything is when its done right. maybe ask the workshop how much it would cost to do the swap regardless of how much you can pick the block up for.

  19. i dont know if this helps but my os twin plate came out of a 32 gtr and fit in my cefiro.

  22. dude turbo side will be hot. it will be a bit slower as the air has to go further now. as for idle i would just be guessing.

  24. I have a 3" split dump/front pipe to suit rb20/25 standard turbo. Asking $250 (This was custom made for 550 new) Also have a 450x300x76 cooling pro intercooler with 3" inlets. Asking $130 Bosch 040 in-tank fuel pump. Asking $200 ono All this stuff needs to be gone asap as im selling my 32. The dump pipe is in extremely good condition and was made by apc. The intercooler is brand new and has never been used along with the fuel pump. Please contact me on 0431255633 only. As i rarely use this site.
