  1. I bought a Optima Yellow top about 2 months ago. I couldn't be happier with it.
  2. What I meant is why don't you get it now and not put it in until you get your fuel pump. From memory the boost control is ON std but I have a bad memory
  3. I think this would be debatable. This maybe the case but also on the flip side it come go above 60 and you can hear no pinging at all. The knock sensors in different cars may operate at different sensitivities due to age of car/wear/ whatever.... but I do not believe if the det sensor goes off in the PFC it means that detonation has occured. A few tuners have said this as well incl Hitman to name one.
  4. You need a HC to do this. PowerFC detonation sensor is set to go off above 60. For the entire duration I had the powerFC in the car before tuning I did not get above this (maybe a month or so). It was midyear then so the weather was cool and I was running 1 bar boost via removal of the boost solenoid. My car is a R33 GTR btw. During this time I did hit full boost but did not do anything like extended power runs or track days. Gav, you speak from experience on this matter having damaged two engines but so am I. I did not get any detonation at all... seriously. When I did get the FC tuned the tuners advanced my ignition further anyway and leaned the mixtures. Yes it would be a waste of money getting it tuned twice but then if you're worried why don't you wait for the fuel pump and then only put in the powerFC.
  5. Yes the default settings are fine for your car. If the car doesn't start make sure you have the Boost Controller option off .

  9. I have off an R33 GTR. I believe they're the same. PM me with offer.
  10. Mate I have no reason to doubt the quality of your products nor do I believe you're trying to rip us off. The only reason why I'm out is the same as merli - "The way I figured it was I was able to get the Series 3 style lip for $150, and if it cracked.... meh."
  11. Yes mate that was me. Thanks for all the information btw. Hard to find someone these days that doesn't try to just sell products haha
  12. for all these options how much power will I need? will i need an amp?
  13. I am in Sydney and I have PMed FHRX =)
  14. I've got a n00bie question. I've currently got a JLw04 sub with a Fusion 1000w amp. I want to get rid of my sub to free up the boot. Can I get decent bass from rear speakers instead. I am not after loudness anywhere near what the sub can do. I'm just after abit of crisp bass to complement my front speakers. If I can do this will I still need an amp? Any suggestions on speaker models and amps? Thanks
  15. I'll take one: Model: R33 GTR series: 3 carbon fibre or fibreglass: Carbon Fibre how many: 1
  16. But I'm sure they're very out of wack. I'm not expert on the matter of which is better than which so but I have accounts from others that the whiteline offset bushes are prone to move and the car may require an alignment more frequently. Of course if you're car is setup for street more than track this may not be an issue. Anyway I guess this debate is another topic. Where did you get 350mm from? Hmm my car hasn't done that many k's but I guess driving style also affects when they should be replaced.
  17. Just checked mine are 22mm on front and rear blade adjustable. I have currently got stock suspension. Basically I'm looking for a quick way to get rid of this mid corner understeer. I am going to adjust the camber for one. Then I'm looking at two avenues (not that there is one right choice... I'd like to do both eventually).... 1) Alignment parts... ie/ camber adjustments on front and rears.... possibly the nismo circuit link kit. 2) Springs/Shocks/Coilover kit - although I'm not sure if this is going to half half the effect of the first option however maybe it will if my spirngs and shocks are worn, which I suspect they are.
  18. I believe I already have my sway bars set at that. I have the whiteline adjustable ones and I believe they're 27 fronts and 22 rears. Maybe they have more settings than just stiff and soft I'll check soon. I was aware that the whiteline ones are solid and the stock ones are hollow but when comparing weights (if this is any indication of rigidity cos I'm not sure if it is) they did seem very similar still in weight.... Turn in seems to be fine. It's more mid corner understeer that is killing me.... camber on the front or back?
  19. sydneykid - are these the measurements of a specific brand of antiroll bar and for which car? Those camber adjustments seem, as you said, a bit extreme for a car on the road. What did u fit to your car for you to achieve these adjustments and what kind of car do you have. I have fitted whiteline antiroll bars on my GTR with stock springs/shocks and camber. After fitting JUST these rollbars it seemed to induce a bit of understeer. I am trying to fix this issue and am trying to determine what other things can be improved in my suspension at the same time. I think my springs and shocks are getting to be worn out a bit and my camber and castor should probably be adjusted while I'm at it. Open to any expereinces incl. settings and what brands/hardware for a GTR.
  20. I am an IT skills prostitute.
