  1. Are you talkin about the din sized gauges? If so Just Jap sell the guage holder and gauges or Defi make them.
  2. Just checked all 4 light up. Check that the bulbs used in the inner two are the same as the outer 2 as they might only be single filament ones.
  3. I saw two guys in a yellow Spider trying to do a reverse park. Dont think he could find reverse lol. +1 for cant drive. would be scary to see him drive @ speed.
  4. +1 with Brett. you are better off getting an aftermarket boot lid that sits flush or a ducktail lip
  5. $1000 > per rim is the going rate for Jap rims such as Volk. They aren't Ozzy tyres specials. As he said you have to pay for Jap Lightweight quality
  6. If you took off the turbo it would run like a dog. The car would need to be retuned and the supporting mods ie injectors and cams would be overkill. You're better off getting an Autech s15 whilst you're on your p's
  7. There are more import restrictions in Aus to protect the domestic product hence higher prices in Aus compared to NZ
  8. You will pass rego with those mods although FMIC and pod wont sit well with PO PO ie they are defects. You should go for a FMIC that doesnt require any cutting of the battery tray, i think u can get them from Just Jap. For the filter just run a hi flow panel filter or if u are adamant on running a pod run it hidden in the bar
  9. As blind elk said ticking sound could indicate pinging/detonation. Try a higher octane fuel. Have you checked your timing? If it is pinging i would'nt be driving it hard until its sorted
  10. +1 . You can get a Jap Brand cat back exhaust for $800-$1000. Or there's always 2nd hand ones on the forums.
  11. Thats the spot where i mount my Airfreshener
  12. ^ be sure to check all the fine print on the extended warranty. Many warranties on the market only cover a set amount, ie only $1000 for the engine, $500 for electrics. And they require you to get the serviced by a shop every 3 months. And if you need to make a claim, they make you take it one of their authorised repairers and they charge you for a quote on the repair. Then if the agent confirms the item is faulty they send the paperwork to the warranty company. Then you gotta wait for them to approve it.
  13. the coinslots are on each side of the GTR badge. I think the GTR badge replaces a coinslot.
  14. The high pitched sound could be a loose bolt on the turbo manifold. Happened in my SR20. I didnt get around to tightening the bolt and ended up having to replace the turbo gasket.
  15. Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? And how did he increase your boost? He probably just took out your restrictor which gives you ~14psi
  16. which fan do u mean? the one closest to the engine? its constantly on driven by the engine
  17. in my old 180 had the slightest of slightest leak in my plumbing and it would hesitate sometimes and i would get less boost. I tightened all my clamps and tightened BOV. all good afterwards. You've got a hard pipe kit dont u?
  18. yeah try plugs and gaps. Also could be a leak in your plumbing if u aren't running stock BOV's
  19. what type of clutch do you have? what revs are you gonna launch @?
  20. Is it running a pod filter? Thats why
  21. u would need to contact a spring maker ie Whiteline, KMAC, King Springs. Sydneykid used to be a able to organise it.
  22. do u still have the boost restrictor on. if not put one in
  23. Hey Muz. Used to have a Soarer back in the day and have seen u on the soarer forums. You still got that green Soarer? To comply the car you would need to return the vehicle back to stock. A member here imported a 94 GTR Vspec and it came with non std wheels and non Brembo brakes. The compliance place had to locate a set of the std BBS wheels and brembo brakes, he had to pay a premium to get the compliance place to do the work. But in the end he got it done. He wrote a thread up in this section. His forum name is Hanyou If you only have to swap over to stock suspension and exhaust and seats, the labour costs wouldnt be too much. Just ring a few compliance places and get some quotes. what car u lookin to bring in?
  24. GTR's have a rwd bias so the car will tend to drift/oversteer and feed power to the front wheels . It could also be the HICAS 4ws that is making the car feel twitchy @ speed around the corner. DO a search for HICAS. U can get a HICAS lock bar to disable the 4ws. U cant adjust the stock suspension. Will have to go aftermarket
