  2. Hey, anyone that is a Vettel fan, I suggest you pick up this months edition of F1 Magazine! Great interview with SB Vettel and another great one with Gerhard Berger.. I don't read F1 MAG much these days, but I suggest that you guys should all have a gander in your local newsagents! Remember it is the Feb issue, so be quick!

  5. JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT PLUNGES! Looks like our Japanese friends are in for some rough economic times.. This reiterates my point that a fall in the Yen should soon follow..   7. Yup, 1958 iirc! Well they used to race in Sweden, Netherlands, South Africa and Argentina as well, and from what I read they also used to produce fantastic racing... Didn't Auto Union dabble into motorsport??? Or was that Interwar Merc vs Auto Union???

Well, I'd rather have had Ralf S and Jos V in F1 for a few more years... Meh.. Which is more than you can say for either India (Although they've got Force India now), Russia (CCCP) and South Korea... God I hope Daewoo or Hyundai don't ever come into F1, a blade might come into contact with my wrists..
  9. 1) You gotta throw Vettel in there, he is definately the next up and coming Schumacher! He's even German! "Deuschland Deuschland Über Alles!!" 2) Yeah I agree, another team int he sport wouldn't hurt, especially an American team, bring back the Candian and US GP's I reckon, more important, significant and traditional that New Dehli or Moscow! I hope they can survive and be competative.. We need a Stoddart/Walkinshaw/Jordan superteam! Also, I hope Honda come back into F1, some day, having 2 Jap manufacturers I think is great for the sport, and a great thing for the Japanese auto industry.. F1 must be the finest show-case for Japanese engineering and technology, often overlooked in many overseas markets!

  13. Ok, yeah that is a much better pic of how the fenders actually look on the car... HHmm, I see what you guys are actually getting at.. As I said before though, I never liked the old URAS stuff but the new fenders and the rear door panels together look PORN! Speaking of modifying, Magic, didn't you speak to the guys at Fibrevision at one stage??? What are they like to deal with? You reckon it would be possible to get the stock fender modified in such a way, or would I require some donor parts or something... Any ideas mate??
  14. Yeah man I'm doing a GTR conversion for my front end, I've already got myself some V-spec GTR front fenders, I've pretty much chosen the front end that I'll order... Just as above, really looking for a non-china version of that bonnet, even Aussie made would be ok! Jap or Aussie would do me fine, just not huge on the china thing.... Still, even with the URAS rear fender, wouldn't it allow for a more aggressive rolling of the rear guards?? I guess you're right though, that rear door presents an issue... I wonder how many more 4-door have got treatment like this...
  15. That is what I mean though, the pics I showed have no obvious pop-rivots... I know there was an older type of URAS rear fender that was just hideous (which I think it maybe be the one your describing)... This from what I've read and been told, is a newer designs... I could be wrong though..
  16. Oh, and if I may make a 2nd quiery.. I'm also looking for a new bonnet, I had my heart set on this one but it seems CARMATE has taken it down in the last year or so. I'm rather fond of this style! Not too confident with the 'made in china' branding... Is this part available from any other sources??? Cheers, Mark.
  17. Greetings! Just been having a look on carmate and I noticed that they had some new products up on their site for the R34 turbo taxis. I've been considering getting my guads rolled/pumped/flared for some time but I've not been too sure with what is the best way forward. Although I'm not a fan of URAS, in fact, until now I've liked NONE of their gear, I saw these two products which interested me greatly: This is the URAS Rear Quarter Panel. This is the URAS Rear door Panel. What I'm wondering is this, obviously these parts will alter the car cosmetically, however, will I also aquire room to fit larger (wider) wheels and tyres in??? I've never liked the idea of the old URAS wide quarter-panel look on its own. However, between the new design, and that URAS now also make a rear door panel to suit. It to me sounds like a dead ringer... Any ideas?? Thanks, Mark.

  21. 1) Ditto and ditto... Although I think the Spa call was fair, it is a good thing for the whole sport that the rule has been clarified... As for some others though... I agree, it has been a bit of a shambles.. I'm suprised Ferrari weren't slammed for the Singapore fluffup... That was ridiculous, if that was Mac they would've copped a 2 race ban or something.. F*cking supid! 2) I think that is a fair assesment, I too would like to see Nando Alonso up there as wel, he is a damn fine racer, I've come to admire that he is sticking it out at Renault, they'll build up again at some stage, when they show Nelson PKJR the door... I reckon RBR with WebzandVetz will find themselves at the pointy end of the grid.. Hopefully Mark rediscovers some of that aggression of yesteryear!
  22. Exactly! That is my logic, Hamilton DID have everything to loose, including the Championship! Him being passed by Vettel comprimised that championship aspiration considerably... Him not keeping the TR at bay, minus the Toyoto/Glock thing later, pretty much made the championship dead and buried.. I agree there are indeed pleanty of 'what ifs', I never brought that into question. I'm just not convinced Hamilton is the wonderboy he is cracked up to be (although I will agree he is an aggressive and fast driver with a very good touch in marginal conditions), I'm keen to see the boy's mettel when McLaren have their inevitable performance/reliability dip in the next couple of years.. Still, I think Kimi has proven to a be goo driver, I expect him to be on the money come 2009. I just hope that Ferrari go back to the old days when they had the superior package in the wet, I certainly hope that next year's Fezjihad contender isn't such a pig when things get messy.. See what the boys and Maranello can produce this year!

  24. True, but the 1993 Mac wasn't exactly a stellar car to drive... Not like the 2007 machine.. You make it sound like Louise was driving a tractor when he won so convincingly at Silverstone.. Don't play down the MacMerc and Louise is such conditions.. Louise just got owned by gear that was inferior, the STR WAS inferior to the MacMerc, end of story. I'm sure your uncle wouldn't have tits, unless I'm very much mistaken... If you're a Hamilton fan, not bloody likely!
