  1. I'm going to do that... When I'm Prime Minister!
  2. Hahaham I've been to a few different websites, and I've recovered a range of 'different' final drive readings: 3.55 3.545 3.369 3.27 3.266 I'd like to know, which bloody one is actually correct...
  3. I'm getting a 3.6 final drive put into my R34GTT, I do HEAPS of highway and freeway driving, so I can justify doing it... I'll find out how it goes when I pick it up tomorrow..
  4. Well I've now committed to a 3.6 final drive for my GTT, I'm now back in the ballpark to consider my 6 speed options, I saw a supra getrag that went up for sale just a few weeks ago. That is now sold so it is a matter of just seeing what's around, either a supra getrag or 6 speed gearsets is what I'm looking for... Any suggestions??
  5. I honestly reckon, if they had to give the aerodynamics a hit, the rear and front wings should've been between last year's regs and this years. That way, they still would have achieved the desired result of less rear and more front downforce, however, the cars would not look like some f*ckugly sh*tstain lucifer himself rejected from the depths of hell.. The cars look way too 'front-heavy'... I agree with Kubi, first corner incidents are going to increase next year, if I owned a house, I'd bet on it.... However, I do agree the side on shots are really impressive, the cars have now re-acquired their clean, smooth and aggressive lines they had in years gone by.. Plus, those slicks = H0T!
  6. Sounds like a serial killer! :b
  7. Funnily enough, I think this will be one of the better F&F movies... For some reason, the trailers look alright (bar the stupid petroleum hijacking scene).

  9. Us olive skinned types need not worry!
  10. Ditto, which is exactly why I never go on them. I'd much rather do that stuff in controlled environments where there are no legal compromises.. However, in WA, we have crappy facilities, hence why many people 'risk it' I suppose.. However, I'm not keen on the idea of hurling my car down a narrow piece of sh!tty bitumen, only to be surrounded by gargantuan trees that would cut my car in half like a slab of butter.. I agree that it is fun, but between the real danger, and the fact there are d*ckheads that do give the speed limits a good nudge, I can't see the sense in it..
  11. I'm interested, but in the middle of a GTR front end conversion for my R34 GTT... What are my options then chief???
  12. 'Kangaroo TV?
  13. I could some help though... Dan...
  14. Well that is the thing... We have no avenue of actually voicing our views and opinions.. Would it be difficult to start some kind of group that would basically represent the greater car-enthusiast community. As of now I think we've got squat, maybe it is something that needs to be started and motivated by the car-club communities of Australia. No one else is going to help us..
  15. Where did I put my wax??
  16. Exactly, it is this derelict attitude of law enforcement that we as a community must expose.. What us enthusiast drivers must cope with is little more than a pathetic misallocation of resources and a total misapplication of so-called 'justice'. Ultimately, it is worth mentioning that the so-called 'hoon laws' are a woeful and ineffective piece of policy which has been conjured up in the minds of the powers to be. Whenever laws have been passed for the wrong reasons, when they have been made to win elections and not justice, when the masterminds of policy conceive a non-existent enemy to win over an electorate. Then it is the place of the people who have been wronged to keep the relevant authorities in check, that is the beauty of democracy, not that you can slip a silly piece of white and green paper into boxes a few times every ten years.
  17. Great post Coz.. I agree that government are so self-righteous, or as you say, pious, they make themselves the saints that pitch battle against evil car enthusiasts day in - day out... Protecting the meek, the elderly and the decrepit from loud exhausts, tyre squeals and people who nudge the speed limit. Actually, I'd refer to it as 'political zealotry'. It is (in historical terms), yet another example of a government issuing a zealous unwavering focus upon a group of people that are branded as absolute, irreverent and non-rehabilitatable criminals for the sake of political appeasement, or as I like to call it, 'political prostitution'. In a lest serious sense, the car enthusiast is treated with similar civil distain as the Jews were in Nazi Germany, as much as 90% of us have done little wrong (or those like me, who have unfortunately stuffed up and bothered to make amends), yet we are all passed through the same mill. Treated all the same and branded all in the same manner, looked down upon as a collection of uneducated rabble, savages with carhorns, camshafts, mufflers and subwoofers.. We are targeted because, although we are not dogs... We act likes dogs, we get kicked and we take it, we flinch and we scarper.. We do nothing... The politicians tighten the vice, yet we do nothing... They turn the screws even more, and still we fail to act... We are targeted because we are an easy target, much like the Jews in the Synagogues were easy prey, likewise, we are too in our performance cars... Maybe politicians need to be reminded that car enthusiasts an non-car enthusiasts are in fact moulded from the same clay, for the most part, we are no better or worse that either politicians or our fellow countrymen & women. It is a disgrace that we are treated like such imbeciles.. I have no idea what the car clubs can actually do... But how can ALL the car enthusiasts in this country NOT BE ABLE to galvanise country-wide political force? Why is there no lobby group that has a set of balls and a few teeth? Is political mobilisation on our part just an outright impossibility?? Shame that our politicians don't target the real enemies of society with such vigour and zeal.. No... We will still all either vote liberal or labor, or donkey vote if we can't be stuffed... I think some of the car clubs in this country ought to come together.. Soon we will be jailed for owning a car with more than 45kw... Soon, it will be illegal to turn on your radio or wash your import in public... Buck stops here people! Maybe we should ring our friends in the 'West Australian', have them reveal the number and severity of penalties that have been issued to the politicians driving tax payer's cars for the last 10 years, then compare them to our state average... Maybe, I should remind everyone that our one time police minister and professional d***head, John D'Orazio, was driving around our streets with no license?? Hhmmmmm, do I smell a generous hint of hypocrisy???
