  1. Do a diagnostic check on your ecu. my r33 was doing this turned out to be a dodgey tps sensor. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...l=r33+ecu+codes
  2. What sort of injector are they? Better to go bigger than smaller, saves buying bigger ones later on.
  3. Sure there are daughterboards out there that allow you to use nistune boards in the r33 ecu it's just that they're a liitle exy.
  4. IIRC I was thinking that that the 2K would include wideband etc etc. Sure only requires a few pin swaps easy as. EXCEPT the fuel temp sensor which needs a resistor wired to chassis ground. If this isn't done you get rich idle afr's and code 42. Oh and cut wire at pin 33 or your exhaust temp light will come on with your air con. Cheers.
  5. Maybe an adaption harness could be made up ....... http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/FIELD-One-...issan-PT2-55226 with. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-76-Pin-ECCS-...p3286.m20.l1116
  6. What about using the ER34 ecu with a nistune type 4 board on your r33.
  7. Why R32 ecu? From what I understand they have issues with the TPS sensor, cannot control the NVICS system and contrary to popular belief are not straight plug in ( need to switch inj 4 & 6). There are advantages I can see going this way is that you get to use both knock sensors and exhaust temp sensor. Much better alternative is the Z32 ecu imo.
  8. Of course the z32 ecu works......
  9. TPS stuffed, ECU spat out a code 43. Tested at 4.7v - 4.8v at idle yet doesn't change when I move the throttle.
  10. I wouldn't use an external igniter with R33 S2 coils, they already have an igniter built into each coil. I couldn't see anything particularly special inside the r33 S2 ecu with regards to ign drivers. So don't do it unless ur planning on using earlier spec coils. PS. I thought that you had this up and goin, have you encountered other problems?
  11. I believe that your skyline uses consult not OBD2.
  12. In short, when I change gear boost just hangs at 4psi for one to two seconds then goes to 6 or so, yet accelerating in gear everything boosts straight to 6. Basically std r33 with boost control solenoid disconected as it stopped working a while back. Also having some trouble with idle, sometimes at 2000rpm and sometimes 750rpm. Idle problem seems to be associated nuetral switch in gearbox, as in idling a 2k I put it and out of gear and release clutch and it drops to 750. I'm begining to think a tin of petrol and a match might do the trick...
  13. Ah, The ecu was looking for z32 afm signal after all, Man that would've run hella rich.
  14. Its a possibilty, I mean if the ecu was supposed to use a z32 meter and you have a afc altering the signal then I guess that would cause some grief. PM if you want sell this ecu later on...
  15. Were u using the afc neo with the z32 ecu. Where did you get the tune? What mods does the tune support etc etc. Also what did you pay for the ecu, outta interest.
  16. I have posted up the wiring changes to use a z32 ecu somewhere here. Nismoid is still on track I believe and I'd try a std z32 ecu. Can you get the rom image off the chip and post it up, then we'd really get to the bottom of this. I believe that this is a viable solution for r33 ecu woes esp. So don't look at this as a quick fix as I fail to see the benefits of using a PFC now that you have made the wiring changes. Use Nistune with wideband and I feel that you would have a superior setup anyway. Let the flaming begin!!!!!!!! Edit found wiring changes doc. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&id=156978
  17. Was it chipped for use on rb25 or vg30. As nismoid said sounds like afm to me. Although if you made the wiring changes then you're probably switched on enough and aware of the need to run a z32 afm with a z32 ecu.
  18. Pros - Seems a little bit nicer than my std r33 wheel and has airbag which is nice when mr plod sees the airbag warning label on your visor. Cons - Not that much better for the money as it looks to be the same wheel as std with a fancy horn pad and better trim on the rim. Much like any other factory momo option i guess.
  19. are these the same as those on the r34.. http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/prod_interior_/2
  20. Aren't there different MAF sensors with greater resolution that you could try in your 4" pipe. I mean the ford tuners are spoilt for chioce with SCT and PMAS sensors, If a lightning sensor can be adapted to work then these should be able to be as well.
  21. Don't f#@k around with the brake fliud, Just kill em
  22. you're welcome good luck Don't sell generic tunes on ebay as that sucks.
  23. I wouldn't be using a r32 rb25de or rb20det ecu on a r33 even after it has been remapped. If you give it a go remember that there are wiring changes to be made. So research, using different nissan ecus on r33 has been done to death so take a look.
  24. Firstly you'll need a eprom programmer like this one... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Dual-Power-Willem-U...1QQcmdZViewItem An emulator would be good as well. try. http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPa...products_id=169 Then have a look around here http://ecu2.forumwise.com/ and here http://eccs.hybridka.com/ PS there are programs that work with an emulator to make tuning easier rather than wading through a mountain of hex. Try searching for liveedit.
