R32 - 33 headlights aren't round either, unless you have the projector style headlamps... Just retro some projectors into the r34 headlamps. Try this really blew my mind http://www.theretrofitsource.com/forum/ind...f067e0f607c750d

Importance Of Changing Spark Plugs
Mr Jollwah replied to benl1981's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Can you adjust the dwell time of your tester. Do you have a rough idea of the dwell time that you test at? Sounds like a good bit of gear tho. -

True, iridium plugs are not the devil, neither are copper plugs after all they're just spark plugs. How did you test the coils? -
Importance Of Changing Spark Plugs
Mr Jollwah replied to benl1981's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Its ok champ if your happy to pay 85 bux for 6 plugs and they work for u then thats great. However iridium plugs have a lower arc over voltage then coppers which results in a colder spark for a given spark gap. To get around this you run a larger gap for iridiums. Most manufacturers use platinium/iridium plugs to reduce servicing items, thus making scheduled servicing cheaper. It has nothing to do with power or reliability. I thought spitfires were pretty much only a replacement for std coils. The only way to get more juice from your coils is to increase the ign dwell time, thus exposing the weakness of the rb coils and aftermarket equivalents, ther'ye small and heat up quick. Please refrain from calling people idiots and for the record I run copper plugs with 1.1 mm gaps on a fairly std rb25det and they've done about 15,000 km without any issues, tho i'll replace them soon. -
Can I Remove The Standard Boost Cont. Solenoid - R33
Mr Jollwah replied to sIIgtst's topic in Forced Induction Performance
No worries I've driven around for a couple of weeks with it off before without problem. Can u think of some thing that u need switched a 4500rpm, U could use the ecu to control it. -
Can I Remove The Standard Boost Cont. Solenoid - R33
Mr Jollwah replied to sIIgtst's topic in Forced Induction Performance
I wouldn't worry about it, just rip the bugger out Your ecu won't even know its gone,. I've got mine wired to a switch which I use when I have to use 91 octane (when the local runs out of premium). -
Does the cefiro use the same ecu as r32 rb20? If so it wouldn't be too diificult to just make the wiring changes to suit the z32 ecu, then wire the vct soleniod seprately. Chucked together a quick txt file with some wiring changes it may help

What type of car and more importantly what engine loom are u using?
-
I know this is supposed to be wasted spark discusion but was reading about the install on the series 2. I bought a set of Gen 3 coils with looms for $160 off ebay. As best I can tell all I need to do is mount the buggers, wire em in and buy a set of leads. I'll give em a go when the std ones pack up or I can find a spare coil harness. Some info on the coils. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=120533

I just looked at the VQ maps of both an Z32 VG30det and a R33 S2 rb25det and they are different. I really couldn't see them having the same values as the VQ map is supposed to tell the ecu how much air is entering the engine. The z32 AFM having a larger diameter would flow more air for a given voltage.
-
It's possible to tune beyond the point where the maf reads 5.12v, the ecu will continue to increase the amount of fuel based apon rpm. So you add fuel to the parts of the map where it runs lean eg. higher target afr to achieve correct actual afr. It's definately not ideal tho.
-
Ahem, More airflow @ a given voltage would make the engine run lean. There is no such thing as "just an AFM". AFM output is non linear, so voltage at idle maybe similar but very different at full load.

Post up some pics if you try it, Esp. in sunlight. I was thinking it'd be alright for detail peices, valve covers for instance.

Airbrush the top half in cf, titanium lower half with red dividing line. All to blingy for me, I like ghetto

Relocating R33 Engine Bay Fuse Box

wrap it in 2x2 twill carbon fibre.. -
You have hotmail

Hicas light maybe.... +1 for what craved said.

$123 for the pair, is that unreasonable? Could be a lot worse, I paid more than that for genuine radiator hoses. You could try regular straight pwr steer hose if the bends are not too tight. If it were me i'd buy the nissan hoses.
