  1. From what I've heard, Imports101 is easily one of the best and most reliable import companies.
  2. For some the risk isn't worth it. No put putting yourself in a retarded situation just for the hell of it.
  3. York sounds good to me. It's been a while since I went up that way, but if I remember correctly, there are some nice roads out there.
  4. Autoworx in Wangara is good. http://www.autoworx.com.au/ Also, just around the corner is another place, forget what it's called, "down under imports" or something like that. They seem pretty good, though I havent seen any R32's in their car-yard, mostly just 180's and supras.
  5. I'm up for a Sunday cruise. Day, would be great. Good for photos, and meeting people.
  6. Just picked it up this week.
  7. Count me in for a definite buy for the 20x4 interface one. Money is all good and ready to go, so give me a yell when you want a full deposit or something.
  8. He didn't import the car for me. But it was a fresh import, I just happened to be the one who bought it.
  9. Then why not make it a day cruise?
  10. Upon thinking about it, it's too late and too dodgy of a run for me. I'm sitting this one out.
  11. Not sure about a late night hill run, but I just got my car, so maybe this'll be a good opportunity to get out there.
  12. Well my car just turned up today, I picked it up and I have to say I'm in love. I got it from http://www.aussiecarcompliance.com.au/ through Joel, who was very helpful and understanding. Basically it went like this: 1. Sent an email to Joel asking what he had in stock. 2. He showed me a very nice black S2 R33, I liked it very much. 3. I I told him I wanted to buy it, so I put a $500 deposit on it. 4. I applied for a rather large loan, got approved and had the money put into my bank account. 5. While waiting for the loan to approve, Joel registered the car and organised to have it shipped over through TOLL. 6. I sent him a very large bank transfer. 7. He took my car to TOLL. 8. A week and a half later, TOLL call me to say my car was ready to pick up. 9. I show TOLL some ID and sign some forms and I now have a road registered (NSW) car in my front yard. Now, what's left... All I have to do is take the car into the pits/inspection center within 3 months to have it re-registered in WA. Pretty sure I don't need to take anything off or change anything. It doesn't have any mods other than a turbo timer and some wheels. Once that's done it'll be all over. Don't be too worried about paying $20k for a car you've never driven as long as you get it from a reputable dealer who gives a good warranty plan. Oh forgot to add, don't forget to get insurance sorted before you pick your car up, I only manage to get my insurance sorted the morning before I picked it up because I wasn't expecting it to get here so fast!
  13. I've used eBay for years, made well over 150 transactions and no real problems to report. Some sellers are less than helpful, but you deal with it. All the items I've sold have gone without a hiccup. As for PayPal, I use it even more than eBay. Love it. It works, it's quick and it's simple as poo. Fee's are reasonable too.
  14. Sounds like you guys had an awesome time! Shame my car is still being shipped. Should only be about 2 weeks now!
  15. Interested if your willing to post to Perth. PM me!
  16. Interested if your willing to post to Perth.
  17. Interested, willing to post to perth?
  18. I've seen those on ebay and was tempted to buy one, what's the reason for sale? Do they not fit well? Or is it just because you want a genuine one?
  19. Car comes with NSW rego, so that should make it easy. The car I'm looking at only has a rather basic after market exhaust and a turbo timer, so as long as there is not major flaws/faults with the vehicle, getting th car over the pits shouldn't be an issue? How much does it cost to take the car over the pits? And can anybody give me some info on what is and isn't allowed in terms on engine mods on a car in WA? I saw the list from Vicroads, but obviously WA would probably have some differences.
  20. Hi, I'm looking at buying an R33 from a complice workshop in NSW and having it shipped here (WA). I was wondering what the process is in terms of re-registering it? What costs etc.? If anybody has any information they could give me, that'd be great. I've tried searching but haven't come up with much info specifically for WA.
  21. Anybody have any information about bringing a car from NSW to WA?
  22. Might be interested in the spoiler... how much would you be looking at for it?
  23. Sunroofs will not make any noticeable impact on performance or handling. The biggest factor is the weight; which is pretty minimal anyway. In most cases a sunroof is too small to require any significant additional reinforcements to the body or roof structure.
  24. Keep your position varied, try not get stuck in one spot too long. Try some panning shots; you'll need to drop your shutter speed to atleast 1/200th of a second and then work your way towards 1/60th - depending on the focal length. Pick a single spot on the car to track and follow, I usually pick a headlight or a door handle; this will help you get sharp shots. Frame carefully; a good shot will be ruined if half the car is langing out of the frame. Experiment, practise, experiment and practise some more.
  25. Ahahaha! Classic.
