  5. hey Al, hows it goin? My compression tests were surprising 1=160psi 2=164psi 3=160psi 4=164psi 5=157psi 6=160psi
  6. hey y'all
  7. What sort of cooler is it - type R or S? Do you know exactly what kit it is? also - some dimensions would be nice.... thanks

  12. pretty sweet, watched Van Wilder, changed plugs, did a compression test, found a BB gun in my boot from japan - this is sweeeeeet...
  13. hey rb, how was your weekend man?
  14. mornin WA
  15. sumfatchin: 0.76bar = 11psi (1bar=14.48psi) I have never used tolulene but it would reduce knocking. Do a search and I'm sure you'd find some info on it. The fuel cut dosen't work because I've completely disconnected the standard boost solenoid, so the ECU isnt getting a boost signal. (I'm using an EBC) Advan_01: I'm not going to take my stock turbo past 0.8bar now. On the very rare occasion I'd run 1.0bar (very cold nite, 1 run) And finally, my problem definately bad fuel, I ran it out, and filled up with fresh Ultimate, reset the ECU, threw in some injector cleaner to be safe and it improved straight away....
  16. Did a compression test today on my R33 GTSt after i suspected some damage after mild detonation (bad fuel + boost). I was very surprised with the results: 1. 160psi 2. 164psi 3. 160psi 4. 164psi 5. 157psi 6. 160psi -rb
  17. unwritten law: yeah, Michael has mad 155rwkw on another dyno....
  18. Update: I suspect dodgy fuel.......
  19. nah - i got heaps of other ones.... like 4 or 5 wangan battle mpegs... go for 1 minute each, 300kmh+ I had a drive down it when i was in japan, but not thru the tunnel and thru the day, so no battles were on
  20. yeah - i thought i recognised it from some of my mpegs....
  21. SHUTO-BOY - your avatar, is that the bayside motorway (wangan) tunnel in tokyo?
  22. its a ping, not a pop man....
  23. Thats the only time it audible - when the sound bounced off a wall. What else could it be? I think your suggestion for a dyno si the best, that way I can see EXACTLY what the problem is. Hate to buy an FMIC and find out it was just a dirty injector eh.....
  24. ok - as pm'ed to Sydneykid: Firstly, I will describe my car: Series1 R33 GTS25t Mods: HKS EVC4 3" Turbo back zorst CAI pod filter NGK coppers @ 0.788gap Cleaned induction system - AFM, TB etc..... Ok, when boosting at 3000rpm/0.82bar i get a slight ping, only audible between those concrete barriers on the highway. I turned it down to 0.76bar and its ok. Whats causing the ping at low rpm? I've done a search on SAU and can't really find any specific info applicable to me. The problems i can think of are: 1. Dirty injector(s) 2. Tired fuel pump (dont think it the first two coz it seems to be ok up high @ 0.76bar) 3. Turbo is getting hot at those low rpms (fix with FMIC) 4. Just bad fueling/timing coz of stock ECU (temp. patch with adjusting the CAS or get an SAFC as a temp. fix) 5. Blow by gasses leaning it out? 6. Try a colder plug (what do you reccomend for my application) Could I just reset the ECU so it will learn the increased air flows?
