  1. argg what rev's.... I really don't know as I haven't done a motor in 'yet' and to be honest there's no real solid proof of what rev's does what. It probably eventuates from poor rebuilds. In your case thats not a problem as you know the motors solid. Hows the condition of the current oil pumps gear drive? They tend to wear and flatten the metal. A shade before 7.5k? Thats quite a bit of rev's anyway, ~60km/h in first, ~105km/h in second and ~145-150km/h in third. Shaun rev'd Antony's quite hard, well over 7k but it the valve springs hated it so the rev limit is set to 7.2k. When/how do you want to grab this restrictor?
  2. Both can be used. Rb26 pfc's are still easy to get where as the rb25's are not.
  3. You will have to measure the thread dia. PTE926.14 - 14mm or PTE926.12 - 12mm Pedders have them. I measured mine some time ago and I think they were 14mm.
  4. No Nazi mods... Just breaking forum rules. Cross posting is not a cool thing; create one thread and place a link to that thread in your sig. Then post whore. No one else is allowed to do it so why should Mr-Toy33. When the thread was created in SA it was reported by another SA member due to this. One rule for all otherwise others will complain.
  5. I prefer a nice tidy small description of whats on the cd with a date. Nice and simple. I haven't bothered with lightscribe as I have a printer (Canon Pixma MP780) that is capable of printing on CD's + my burner doesn't support it as I bought this one (LG 4167) just as lightscribe was released.
  6. Geoff, VL injector plugs are the same as RB26 inj. plugs. Depending on the 'quality' you can get cheap good aftermarkets that are sold in a pair for $16. So Total $48. If you go the really nice ones. they are near double. Motortraders/Coventry's stock them. http://www.coventrys.com.au/coventry/divis...tive/coventrys/
  7. Not is all waste.. The gear you mentioned can be run in the RB25 should you decide you've had a play its time to step up its displacement.
  8. There's no bashing of rb20 lovers. Its no fun as they are too easy to catch. hehe ------ hehe.. The RB30DET IS different. More rb20 mugs than there are rb30det. RB20DETT on the other hand.. You should rig that thing up sequentially. Only having a little joke.. Don't take it personally. <note the 50 smileys>
  9. Thats when my guage isn't dicked out and reading near and on zero. Then like a switch it springs in to life again.
  10. The GTR resistor pack measures close to what the MR30 resistor pack does. Form memory it was actually a little less. Low 5's vs high 5's for the MR30. All ecu's have a little head room. Ignore the 'theoretical' calculation as its wrong. Look at what the RX7 blokes run. 6ohm resistors, its what we run and almost every single other manufacture does also. I've never measured a Nissan, Honda or Mazda with a resistor pack greater than ~6ohms. Theoretically according to calcs they should be running ~10ohm resistors but they dont. EDIT: I've been running a PFC for 2 years.
  11. I noticed mine runs a little more pressure up over 3000rpm. Yours I remember was a bee's dick over 4 on the stock guage where as mines up around 5 at 3000rpm. 4k and over mines sitting on 6.5-7. :S A little high. :S When cold with anything thicker than 5w40 it max's out the guage over 8. With 5w40 it sits smack on or just under depending how warm the weather is. Its probably a sticky relief. :S My old rb20det with its stock pump never say over a bee's dick over 4 when warm.
  12. I remembered that advanced ignition can also cause high NOX levels.. So I did a quick google and stumbled upon this that 'may' be of interest. http://www.users.bigpond.com/ergoff/Faq4.htm and this... http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/article....;A=0653&P=1
  13. Comparing my old Rb20DET pump and the RB25DET pump I run on mine the RB25DET pump had the same amount of lumps but the gear was thicker so it would flow more. My Rb30 block cam with 2 x 1.8mm restrictors. I believe the Rb25DET's run 2 x 1.5mm restrictors and the RB26 1 x 2mm restrictor. I'd stick with 1.5 its safe. Have you thrown a crank collar on to it so you can rev it a little harder without the worry?
  14. Its usual to run a minimum 1.5mm front with a blocked off rear. 'Some' (Jun pumps etc) run down to 1-1.25mm front and blocked off rear. Either way you can have it.
  15. Very interesting.... And great to hear. I can often smell a little vapour from mine. I have no idea where its coming from. Possibly from the seal in the boot where you remove/install the fuel pump as it has been out a couple of times. Maybe old fuel hose near the petrol tank? If I place my nose up against mine I can smell fuel. :S
  16. I could be wrong.. It was only another tuners opinion over on the datalogit forums. Speak to your tuner about it.
  17. Throw an Rb26 Powerfc in to it. Any half decent workshop knows how easy it is to get it working with the GTST. Forget the GTR cam's idea UNLESS you are going to have them reground by LukeVL (Tighe cams).
  18. I remember vaguely mine was 5.2 or 5.8 ohms. One of the two.
  19. Over at the datalogit forums it was noted that there's an issue with the pfc that prevents it passing emissions. It was some time ago but something to do with when you jump off the throttle. -- Catch can venting to atmo.... FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. At 40psi my R34 GTR injectors flowed 480cc. They fit up perfectly but you do need to trim/melt a lug off the injector to fit up to the std plugs. If your std inj plug boots are cracked look at replacing them with VL items, they are a direct fit to the gtr injectors. I bought cheapo plugs from Motortraders/Coventrys. $16 a pair so total $48.
  21. Bugger.. Surely for those elec nuts out there it wouldn't be too difficult to grab the rpm signal and have it activate the vct at various rpm's. Jaycar kit KC5378 .
  22. BSM Cruise? Bugger.
  23. Paul, Those scratch proof's look good. Do they make then in printable? ----- Princo, Not all buggered up but just a few, the most important ones. :S 3-4years ago I used to buy the 10packs with case. They were all stored correctly.
  24. Easy enough to determine if the RB26 pfc still tries to switch the vct on at the specified RPM point. Grab that multimeter and go for a spin in rb26.
  25. I'm doing a few others bits and pieces while the subframe is dropped. I have GTR hubs, axles etc to drop in that I picked up for next to nothing + a few bushes here and there. :S
