  1. Reddrifter, That depends if you measured 12.25v at full load / WOT.
  2. We need a dyno sheet. Peak power RPM?
  3. Easy way to find out. Hit the a/c button and the fan should 'instantly turn on. If its cycling in and out when the a/c isn't then check engine temps and you may very well find that is whats activating the engine overheat fan.
  4. lmfao. Quite the opposite actually. You have no clue. The design of the ball/spring mbc has changed from its origional. Before it was great with its origional position of the relief hole, now with no hole or having the hole higher up near the adjustment bolts thread its not so great. There MUST be a form of relief otherwise the actuator will hold the wastegate open. Without a hole or some form of internal relief it will create a feeling of spool being lazy when you select the next gear. It may be that the bloke who makes them has forgotten to drill a hole or placed the hole slightly too high causing the bolt to foul with its relief operation. Some have had no ball bearing in their bleeder so there IS a small quality issue, but for the price they are who cares. Once again. LMAO.
  5. lol... You are running out of mods. I can think of a couple but it would make it look far from stock. 6boost exh. manifold and a plenum. I've always liked the look of the greedy plenums.
  6. Great Congrats Darren.. All the best.
  7. It was fine for months and months prior.. Just one of those 'street' things. Could have been poor fuel + the weather is a touch warm etc etc..
  8. lol at your sig CCCP. Have you been lucking out in the women department lately?
  9. I know of a 2jz that just let go with ~450rwkw. Smashed ring lands. It is thrashed daily, especially on the weekends.
  10. You can get a well built bottom end be it rb25/26 or 30 for around 3k. Drop in a set of forged pistons and rods, thats bumps the price up to 5k. Cams and springs, 6.5k. Add an ati balancer - 7.5k. Unsure with the 26's but the 30's have issues with more than 7500rpm when making 700hp, the stock girdle needs beefing up.
  11. Solid. They are a better designed motor. Just a pitty they are heavy arsed and have old school design interiors.
  12. That being said The GTR at bathurst during the early 90's were limited to 7000rpm so they could make the distance safely.
  13. But regardless.... 144mph compared to 134mph is a hell of a difference. Unique Autosports 300zx which is of similiar weight to the Supra ran a 10.79 @ 139.4mph with 456rwkw.
  14. There's plenty of VL's running around pulling 10's on a stock motor.
  15. I remember that one. But yes... those middle aged women, they do fly around, especially in car parks! I was almost cleaned up by one a day ago. :S
  16. Have a good look around here... http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...bochargers.html GT30R is listed as GT3076r GT35R is listed as GT3582r Have a look at their wheel sizes. The multiple listings of the same GT3076r and gt3582r is off the top of my head just different turbine housing configs (T4, T3 4 bolt etc etc).
  17. If its a gt30 with custom wheels its not a gt30. Find out what it is. A gt30 is a gt30, what makes it a gt30 is its wheels.
  18. The R33's from what I've seen don't suffer the same large volt drop as the R32's; their battery is in the boot so no doubt this does help some what.. 14.8v if thats correct is overcharging a tad. Keep an eye on it.
  19. Not completely sure. :S I do know there's a couple of relays in the drivers rear guard that have wires entering/exiting from the fuel pump loom section. I'm unsure if the high/low switching occurs there or else where.
  20. Sounds like a good idea Reddrifter.. There's a couple of relays in the boot. Follow the wires and you'll find them. They are located in the rear guard so a little bit of a pain in the arse to get to.
  21. Yes Freebaggins old 33 was making slightly over 300rwkw (313rwkw from memory) for years. Tuning with regular checkups is critical.
  22. Do Creatd Motorsport offer cash back for your old injectors? Deatschwerks offer: R33 Injectors - ~$25USD each (~$190 AUD for a set of 6) R32 Injectors - ~$12.50USD each (~$95 AUD for a set of 6) Given that it brings the price down of the Deatschwerks injectors by a reasonable amount. (Down to the $300 bracket if I remember correctly)
  23. it doesn't?
  24. I came across a bloke that flow tested both the 1jz and 2jz heads. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=339560 Apparently the 1jz head > 2jz head is not the case.
