  1. VG30det turbo is good for around 180-190rwkw depending on dyno. In my case ~10-15rwkw more than the rb20det turbo. So bugger all really.
  2. You can't fix the seals in the vg30 unfortunately. BUT.. If you can pick up a cheap Rb20DET turbo you can bolt the VG30 housings on the rb20det turbo and have a vg30det again. The RB20 and VG30 turbo's run the same turbine and compressor wheels. Which is pretty crappy really but oh well.
  3. lol sk. Which is why I didn't mention who it was. Customer Loyalty goes a very long way with some workshops.
  4. INDIANAPOLIS 500 - THE SIMULATION http://www.lemonamiga.com/?game_id=561 Damn I used to play this day in day out.
  5. lmao yes.. 3/4" were the small bastards.
  6. Whats wrong with your old VG30? Sell it off to suit highflow. Slide could be interested?
  7. Out of curiosity.,.... Whats the smallest hard drive you have bought and what did it set you back? 20mb Seagate SCSI Hard Drive for my old Amiga 500, back then it was worth ~$600!!!!!!!! http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=534 I used to kick some arse in the awesome Test Drive, then Test Drive 2 and then I believe it was Test Drive the Dual. Not to forget Shadow Warrior, Golden Axe, Double Dragon and Shadow of the Beast!! Awseome some of those old games. Shadow of the beast I used to get my hairs standing up on the back of my neck for some reason. I remember I used to have hundreds of games back then. Box upon box of disks. A bit like the Commodore 64 before that with its tapes and then 3/4" floppy's. I might load up UAE and get in to some double dragon. lol EDIT: Can't forget Barbarian with its round house head chopping. I hope no ones on dialup. :S
  8. Then they usually do cams, the plenum possibly exhaust manifold already done. Modifications done in stages. When everything has basically been done at once its just too difficult to know whats wrong with the car. It may simple come down to the tuner, a stuffed cat, a crappy exhaust. Who knows, we don't because maybe you don't either. If you were the owner you could say ... yes its running a decat, 3.5" straight through muffler this that etc..
  9. None the wiser.
  10. Head, Cams, valve springs, fuel, compression, leakdown, exhaust, cam timing, catalytic converter, tune and................ the dyno. What are others doing on the same dyno? Try another tuner see what they think may be up with it....
  11. Good stuff buddy.. Much smoother than the first.
  12. Long nose R200's are not suitable.
  13. Give MV Auto's a buzz on monday and see if the RE4R03A and RE4R01A speedo gears are interchangable. You may be in luck as the RE4R03A is just a heavy duty version of the same thing. Apparently.
  14. Apparently... The NA Z32's run the VLSD R200 with a 4.08:1 ratio.
  15. It appears I was wrong. The Q45 runs a 3.53:1 ratio and the J30 runs the 3.9 ratio, both run the better half shafts/axles. So nothings changed.. The J30 is the 3ltr version of the same car. Q45 being the 4.5ltr. Same diff everything just different ratio. So J30 Infinity is what you are after for a 3.9:1 ratio. The 4.5ltr Q45's and 300ZX's run the tougher RE4R03A trans, unsure if the speedo drive gear is interchangable, possibly as they both run the same valve body's. The J30 runs the same RE4R01A trans as the R32/R33 Skylines do. So you will be able to grab the speedo gear out of the J30 and use it IF you want a 3.9:1 ratio. Here's an excellent reference with regards to what car runs what auto trans. http://www.transmissioncenter.net/VehicleT...issionIndex.htm ------------- RE4R03A - S3Girl/Darren, What trans were you running before the powerglide? This or the R33 RE4R01A?
  16. lol... Give me a few minutes I'll find out.
  17. The 300ZX diffs are an R230. 230mm so a 9" diff. They are tough as but unfortunately they don't bolt up. The 300zx diff's from memory are a 3.69 ratio and run the same chunky axles as the gtr/q45's. In the SA section there's a stickied wrecker listing. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=123889 Ring every wrecker and see what they can do a pumpkin for. The going price is generally around the $250-$300 mark. 'SOME" absolutely rip people off. A good example is D1 garage.. $500 for a GTR Pumpkin, another *won't name publicly* wants $500 for a VLSD S13 pumpkin. :S So ring around, some may also be able to supply just the ring and pinion depending on which way you want to go. You may be able to pick one up for cheaper over at www.nissansilvia.com, remember to double check the ratio either way. Simply pop the rear cover off, on the crown wheel there should be stamped something along the lines of 47:12 with a few other numbers. Simply divide 47 by 12 to give you your ratio.
  18. As you are aware residing in the US its a completely different ball game to here in AUS where an RB30 build up is dirt cheap compared to a stroked rb26. 14k AUD thats a serious RB. What comes with the motor? Rb26 head, big cams, forged everything, crank snout, new jun pump or is it a fairly sedate build?
  19. Looks good.. I'll keep an eye out for you.
  20. So getting them out is the problem.. Not so much getting them in.
  21. The XR6T 4ltr Ford Blokes over here have issues with their GT3540 internal gates overboosting, another bloke on this forum with his gt3540 int gate also has issues with over boosting on his 3ltr. Creating more turbulence at the wastegate is only going to make boost creep worse, they need all the help they can get not to overboost, seperate wastegate pipe with a smooth merge. That being said I haven't seen the XR6T blokes running with split dumps, rather just the usual open mouth so possibly that is half the problem. Have you enlarged the wastegate hole at all?
  22. I remember some where that some one said it required a 10tonne press minimum?? Not too sure but I remember something vaguely. So as for portapowa.. I have no idea.
  23. I bought an Ebay 12tonne press for $150. The bloke was in adelaide so no postage cost, usually postage is around $38. Its quite a good press and much better than the supercrap presses that break welds. Grab a 3" piece of exh. pipe and plate to press the R32 bush in.
  24. The lean afr's in the low to early mid rpm is perfectly normal. Its exactly what my stock rb20 ecu did regardless of what pump it ran. Its the mid to top end that goes rich when the correct fueling is suppied. It may be that the fuel pump was only just on the edge of shieting its self which is why the afr's are so 'perfect', given a month down the track you 'may' have started to see the top end afr's start to lean out more. Similiar to mine except mine was a little more gone and was starting to lean out by a 1/4 of a point in the last 500rpm. If that makes sense. I still run my stock intank pump and it is well and truley stuffed, it only just provides enough fuel for off boost work. I also run an external bosch pump so the internal acts as a lift pump so its never working hard. I must pull it out one of these days. :S
  25. Those afr's are perfectly fine IF it were tuned for it. As its running the stock ecu (I assume as nothing has been said otherwise) its definitely way way too lean and is an indication of a failing fuel pump. Months later the fuel pump is only going to get worse and slowly lean out more and more. I read the afr's as erm......... 11.75-12 at the end of the power run. Not as lean as I origionally thought but none the less still slightly too lean for a 'stock' r32 making 150rwkw. Given a cold night or increase in boost and those afr's will most definitely be too lean and detonation will occur damaging pistons and bearings.
