  1. It needs more boost to pump up that mid range some more. None the less a nice power increase considering boost is essentially the same.
  2. Well please educate us........ Does the Koran really state such a thing or was it an individual 'claiming' it does in order to get away with illegal activities.
  3. Please show us an example where an Arab has got 55years in prison for doing the same crime as a Caucasian. If you truly believe this then you are making mountains out of mole hills by trying to make your self look hard done by. I've grown up with arab people, some of my best mates are and have been arabs. Out and about we were all treated the same. When we were young yes we were pulled over questioned where we were going, what we were doing at such a time of nite etc. Depending how the cop was would depend how much we would be harassed. Once a friend of mine (Arab) and myself were approached by police. I was taken off for questioning (i'm Caucasian / half wog) and so was he. I could hear from a distance he was freaking out saying he was being harassed because he was an Arab. I just answered the questions and all was dandy. I asked him later why he freaked he said... "because I felt like stirring shit" simple as that. He said nar I know I wasn't being harassed any more than you just I thought I would make a scene. One thing I do know.. The Arab mates of mate, they do like to make a big song and dance about things, its just the way they are, they know it and they laugh about it with me. ------------- Keep the DISCUSSION CLEAN AND REASONABLE otherwise people will receive bans. Public Personal threats on this board are simply not on.
  4. 5% variation is a fair amount but I'd say its most likely <5% which is considered ok. The chances of a car thats 10yrs old having near perfect compression ratio is slim. Please cheak the head lights when you pick it up... I was excited and forgot to... Turned the head lights on and then had to hunt around for H3C bulbs that absolutely no one had apart from autobarn that was closed.
  5. SAZilla, Its a private or yard sale? Check the spare is pumped up/holding air also.
  6. RB20 injectors are 260cc vs r33 items that are 370cc's. Yep the stock suspension does get a little hairy. Its really not that bad providing the shocks are in good nick and bushes are also.
  7. I'm not too fond of the RAA inspections. I bought a VS 5ltr 5speed some 7years ago, had it RAA inspected and they missed an obvious inlet manifold water leak and loose engine mount that had the exhaust hitting the body under acceleration. The inlet manifold leak was a real pain in the arse to get fixed too.. They had the car for 3 weeks and racked up almost 70km's, I got it back and the clutch felt all spongy like they had been slipping it. From there that car was down hill... Such a damn unreliable (drivetrain) money pit. Well at least the new owner got a good deal; new diff, gearbox and rear subframe.
  8. Did they say why they couldn't remove the rear left wheel? Lock nut? Spinning stud? Either way you should be able to spin the wheel around and see with a torch how much meat is left on the pad. Looking at the opposite wheel will give you a good indication how much meat is left on the left. The skylines brakes wear fairly evenly due to being 4pots up the fronts and 2 pots at the rear. So the inner doesn't wear early like that of the usual clamp type pos brakes. I wouldn't be concerned. Have you bought it yet? Get under the car and check the chassis rails for damage.
  9. heheh like this sort of thing?
  10. lol either way.. Get to work and straight on SAU.
  11. Strich9, For 350rwhp to be reliable they really need a set of larger injectors to be dropped in. Simply too many Rb25det's have popped when running around 350rwhp with std injectors, all though with a bit of fuel pressure they may seem fine when on the dyno for what ever reason they do tend to fail down the track and one ends up with broken ring lands. I ran my rb20det injectors at 100% duty for around 3months before they began to fail, I began to notice increased detonation and poor starts, then finally fuel consumption went to absolute crap and it would frequently drop a cylinder when cruising or after a 3rd gear pull.
  12. My Timezone is set correctly. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...rCP&CODE=04 It appears SAU's time is out though.
  13. I just checked my Silver top RB20DET injectors.. 13.8ohms. :S
  14. hahah.. 8:14am, just started work and already on SAU.
  15. SirRacer, I'm unable to remove the cover its stuck on there. If the dude has sold u a resistor pack without the cover and not told you then he has done a shonky.
  16. Its tomorrow... Wheres the dyno sheet. What Ign timing are you running up top where you were experiencing det? Drop the afr's a touch 11.5:1, push more boost in and start pulling that timing back until she begins to make less power.
  17. All the Nissans run with 5.5-6ohm resistor packs as do a lot of other cars that I know of. Honda, Mazda etc. I picked up a R30 Skyline's resistor pack for next to nothing. I did a few calcs a while back, from memory it turned out I required some where around 17w resistors. Good 17w 6 ohm resistors are difficult to get at a reasonable price. A total of 6 worked out to nudge close to $100. Grab an R30 or 280ZX resistor pack from the local wreckers, much cheaper and the resistors are designed for the purpose. The male plug can be purchased from your local autostore for ~$2.95, the less soldering required the better. I wouldn't be reving or driving the car if your not running a resistor pack, it WILL cause the injector drivers to fry and worse case catch fire. It 'may' be ok on idle and at low rev's but mid to high rpm and your most definitely asking for trouble. Be safe, just dont drive it until its sorted. IF you decide to go separate resistors here's what 'should' be used. http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/injector%20resistor.htm Remember thats in USD. Attached below is a pic of my R30 resistor pack. Looks the same as the GTR item just with a different plug.
  18. The RB30's added 38mm deck height doing.
  19. I've grabbed a pic of the old rb20det engine bay and posted it above the now rb25 head engine bay pic. I wasn't able to track down all the old pics of the rb20det before I pulled it out. As you can see they really do look identical apart from myself painting the rocker covers black instead of leaving them the standard silver colour. Ignore the larger bleed bolt as I stripped the std one as the alloy goes a touch soft when it is really hot. Also ignore the slightly different looking rocker cover join breathe hose and rocker cover -> pvc as the std ones were split.
  20. The R32 RB25de rocker covers are silver also.. They literally look identical. I've painted mine black as I have a think for black.
  21. Oh yer.. .Madaz, its only the Series 1 RB20deT's that say RB20. The Series 2 with their slightly larger turbo and a few other nice little bits are just plain. No rb20 markings. The RB25 and series 2 rb20 look identical.
  22. Not with the rb20 head plonked on top. Its not that they make heaps more power easily as they will still make the same peak power as the rb25 on the same boost level. The head is what governs the peak power at any given boost level. Being a larger motor it will simply make more 'average' power. ---- I still fall back to my view of a cheap rb30det though. Grab a cheap r32 rb25de head, a running second hand rb30det bottom end push a little boost in to it, set the rev limit to 7200rpm and off you go. If the motor should let go just grab another cheap rb30 bottom end and throw it under the head. Building up an expensive motor and then thrashing the nackers out of it is a little scary, as on occasions things do go wrong and they do pop. Your then all depressed and thoughts of simply pissing the car off runs through your mind. Or just throw in a second hand rb20. Troy style, his has been holding rather well at 20 odd psi with his td06 making 240-250rwkw. Nothing like torque to turn tyres in to smoke. ^ RB30DET, TD06-20g, 10psi 240rwkw, 12.19 1/4. Enjoy the car.. Thrash the crap out of the motor and replace it with another cheapo when IF it lets go.
  23. Rb20's 78mm bore and 69.7mm stroke gives 1998cc's Rb25 crank and rods = 2162cc's RB26 crank and rods = 2223cc's Run 79.5mm pistons: Rb20 - 2076cc RB25 - 2135cc Rb26 - 2195cc I would probably do the rb26 rods and crank if I were building up an RB20, thats providing I was able to source a set for a reasonable price. The rev happy isn't influenced by the stroke as the stroke we are talking is bugger all. Its the head ability to flow the bottom ends capacity at high rpm that influences its ability to rev, and don't forget a correctly sized turbo. A turbo on the 2ltr that was fine and rev happy will choke the top end on a larger capacity bottom end.
  24. I'm not too fussed but either way if some are concerned I'm more than willing to pm a meet time and place.
  25. Ahh yes thats right... I'll bring them along.
