Drift_R33 and Basti... Your two posts say everything I meant too.

Was a bit of a drama.. Drove a VN dunga door down in to adelaide, got the pedal box welded up for $30 went the start the dunga door and it wouldn't start. This was just after 3pm. The next bus came at 4:50pm!!!! So I hung around until then bused it home, gabbed something to eat and left home around 8:30pm Drove up to Lobethal, had an awesome run, no one in front, missed the turn off as I was enjoying myself so much. Got back in to town by around 11:00pm.

I don't say anything..... Initially.. I look at them and fart. Then ask if they would like to come in...
-
Thats a damn good price.. Really makes u wonder what they get them for. Nisswreck are slugging $900 for a little RB20DET gearbox.. lol Others sell them for $500. Definitely worth shopping around.
-
So your pedal box is stuffed?

A complete R33 RB25DE motor at Adelaide Jap goes for $950. I bought my R32 RB25DE head for $750 BUT Adelaide Jap insisted it was an R33 Item as there were no N/A 2.5ltrs in the R32.. I knew better.

lol I've done a few subjects on Philosophy at Uni... Its actually quite an enjoyable subject.. Sit back and dribble shit. No exams and it definitely gave me different goals in life. My last Phil class we had an Arab bloke who came over and was in a detention camp for a couple of years. He was quite a crazy bugger. He once stood up pointing his finger shouting and getting in some blokes face due to a comment he didn't agree with, he would simply fly off the handle too quickly. But settled down towards the end. The class for him I think was very beneficial as it did open his mind a bit. He had his presentation on............. Terrorism. He supported terrorism so that was a very interesting discussion.

All fixed at a bargain of a price $30 I went back 1hr later and it was done, it was done within 30mins of it being dropped off. They said they have done many pedal box's before and there really isn't much you can do to strengthen these box's apart from weld it better. The problem occurs because its spot welded, these spot welds break and as one pops it puts stress on the back plate that rips as the whole thing flex's. He said it shouldn't happen again as its now welded correctly. So as for reinforcing it placing lots of metal in there. Its not going to do a great deal over simply welding the thing together properly. I've given it a coat of rust kill paint so now to install it and I won't be making it to KFC by 6:30 thats for sure. I 'may' get there by 7 who knows. :S Top blokes... Coulthard Welding. 10-12 Andrew Street, Adelaide 82319692

Well I won't be able to make it. Bugger.

There's some quite nasty arsed Christians (our next door neighbours who are quite serious Christians to the point where they are involved in a band and often have other people from their church join them in their home for practice) Yes there are also some nasty non-religious people. Religious or not its all up to the individual as to how they choose to live their life. Just because one doesn't 'believe' it doesn't mean they are going to be one nasty arsed individual because they don't have anything to 'fear' when they pass on.

Drop a cheap VN/VS 5ltr in the VL and turbo the sucker with a couple of second hand nissan turbo's.
-
lmao.. I do agree... Religions in all create more problems/wars etc than they solve. In this day and age in 'Australia, US, basically all the western world' we have an excellent policing system; we don't 'need' to be scared of something for when we die to keep us in line.

Another option is to grab an R32 RB25DE complete motor for ~1k and drop a nice thick 2mm headgasket on it. That will drop the compression to around 9:1. Bolt your rb20 plenum, exhaust manifold, injectors, fuel rail on to it... in other words bolt ALL your rb20det gear on to it and drive away on the stock rb20det ecu. Consider the RB25DE on the rb20det's stock boost making more power than the rb20det would have on 1bar.
-
Mines a crap setup.. I went and spend a shit load on the motor and then wasn't able to spend $$ on the bolt ons.. I'm almost there, got everything now but the turbo. Last time I had it on the dyno it was valve floating. With the stock rb20det turbo it made 176rwkw on 9psi at 4400rpm, power held to ~4800rpm then nosed over. It was making 100rwkw by 2000rpm. It was making roughly the same tractive effort as an r33 rb25det making ~310rwkw. ~390nm of tractive effort. Consider 100rwkw at 2000rpm + drivetrain losses. Thats somewhere around 150kw at the fly. So it feels like a big diesel but is surprisingly quick for the power it was making. I got sick of the big diesel as you simply don't use the bulk torque between 2000-3000rpm, I dropped a VG30DET (same as an RB20det turbo just with a bigger compressor housing and turbine housing, compressor wheel is a pissy little rb20det compressor wheel) turbo on it, power now holds well to almost 6000rpm vs 5000rpm with the smaller turbo yet it feels almost the same as the rb20det turbo. The 3ltr really does change the way turbo's spool. Sky30's Rb30DET, gt35r - peak power some where around 5500-6000rpm and it was making 312rwkw, some where up around 540nm of tractive effort. Am-Performance GTS4... gt35r - 15psi ~260rwkw, 17psi ~270rwkw with slight valve float that was killing power. His made peak power around 6500rpm and holds it well to 7500rpm, just a pitty its valve floating. The reason for the higher peak power rpm... He's running an aftermarket plenum. That is the key for rb30det's not only to rev high but to make peak power up there. All of the above cars are in Adelaide. R32 GTS4 + Rb30DET + GT35r really is a monster. To try and put it in perspective an RB30DET GT35R .82 feels pretty much on par 'lag' wise as an Rb20DET running a stock turbo. But don't forget the more down low power and just more power everywhere. The stock turbo'd rb20det's are a touch too laggy for myself.. I'd prefer a GT30 .82 on the Rb30DET and shove 20 odd psi down its through to nudge close if not over 300rwkw. The GT30 on the Rb30DET is apparently the same 'lag' wise as a stock turbo'd rb25det, just with 100rwkw more and a shit load more mid range than an one. Attached is a dyno comparison of a bloke who ran ran up his rb25det gt3040 on 15psi, slipped an rb30 block underneath the head and ran it up again on the same boost. The before after description of how it drive.... Its an Animal even though it was still making the same peak power it accelerated to that peak power so much quicker.

Using the right tool he 'may' be ok with the majority of stuff as the previous windows xp install would have installed in roughtly the same physical position on the disk. Then the user would have added his personal files. Run an undelete tool, see what you can get off. Myself... I like to run 2 partitions. One for windows and programs and one for my docs and other crap. Re-installs are then hassle free.

After How Many Km's Should U Change Ur Fuel Filter
Cubes replied to jetpilot's topic in General Maintenance
Mine swallows $60 worth of Motul every 5000km's + a $16 PureOne oil filter. Every fuel filter I do the airfilter also (Purulator airfilter) Still running the stock airbox but with a nice big arsed 100mm cai. -

I find I do mine every 20,000km's or so. -
If its fixed I will be driving it tomorrow night yes. It takes literally minutes to get in and out so installation isn't an issue.
-
Sky30 managed slightly over 300rwkw for ~$5000 using an Rb25/30. Thats bang for buck.
-
Well my pedal box has finally gone crack.. I got it out before I could do any more damage to it. It still felt normal and fine to drive with but knowing they have an issue with the pedal box I decided to check it out to be sure. And....... sure enough. Tomorrow I'm going to have it re welded and reinforced. Its fairly common for the R32's to do their pedal box's in when running a heavy clutch, its not a matter of IF its a matter of WHEN. I will keep you all posted how it goes.
-
Sounds like the same issue. The R32's are known for it when running 800kg+ clutches. Mine made a pop/click type noise and felt slightly funny, thats why I decided to check it as I know the issue does exist. And sure enough..............

Madaz, So its only been formatted? Nothings been installed? I use this little utility on my usb drive. http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html Its not the best but its lightweight and does the job well providing you don't overwrite data. Most likely it won't work if the volume has been formatted. I haven't really looked hard but there appears to be a few utilities that are free ware and work with formatted drives. http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/system/fwdatarecovery.html

Well I had a bit of a play with the car today and found this............. The common broken R32 pedal box. Nismo have an uprated thing but I'll get mine re welded and strengthened if at all possible. Looks like I won't make it to Lobethal Lights, might try and borrow the oldies car.

Pretty damn quick... Thanks... Ahh well no need to get worked up, I think the other dude really did jump the gun a little, maybe misread SAZilla's post slightly which does happen. I've been known to do it.

There is no way that 55yr case can be compared to any other that has occurred within Australia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_gang_rapes But none the less 55yrs is a little heavy handed compared to what is the 'norm', it was reviewed and sentence reduced. It does appear to be an isolated incident so most definitely not the norm for arabs in general. Now back to the Koran... And the searching women thing... It would be nice if you were to answer the question as you obviously believe the Koran does indeed quote such a thing. I personally wouldn't have a clue, but I would like to know if it was an individual using her religion to avoid being caught for doing something illegal.
