  1. 4c off saves me a whopping... $2 per tank lol What a scam.
  2. When I looked in to it there was just the one HKS cast type that was suitable for both T4 and T3.
  3. I'll grab some pics and throw them up when we catch up Darren. These manifolds are quite rare now.. They now go for $1100+ I.e ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HKS-TURBO-MANIFOLD-...bayphotohosting
  4. I stumbled upon this little doco. Unsure if the fuel follows the same receipt here in AUS but none the less.. On my travels I've also seen mention of BP and their new 102RON fuel. Shell_V_Power_Unleaded_2006_Info_Spec_Sheet__Customer_Version_.pdf
  5. I'll be using it... I SAVE a whopping 4c A LITRE whoopie chook
  6. Throw the camera in macro mode (read the manual) and take another picture with good lighting. I can't really see anything out of the ordinary. I do see a slight scuff but it doesn't appear bad. Do you have any of the lobe?
  7. Thanks hefer81..
  8. Well the local bilo has turned in to coles.. So 4c off optimax v-power.
  9. Nothing wrong with 5%.
  10. I've had mine let go.. I think its let go on every one who works on their car some time or another. I was in a rush to take the car for a spin with the new turbo on it. Completely forgot to do up the ic pipe to cross over hose clamp. Started to accelerate lightly, it may have hit 5-7psi or so and BANG!!! nothing, no acceleration. I dipped the clutch the car lumped over for a sec and died. Tried to start the car; it would start then stall, wouldn't even idle. Popped the bonnet and saw the ic pipe sitting half in the rubber half out.
  11. black smoke = plenty of fuel.
  12. There's ignition, there's fuel.... Blowing black smoke indicates a gross inlet leak. I ignored the 3psi fact after I read ----
  13. I 10th the cooler pipe.
  14. You do realise the 6boost manifolds are high mount... Your going to have to make the same modifications as the turbo instead of being mounted lower will be mounted higher.
  15. Well hold your breath until we all see how sly33 goes with his nice smooth manifold.
  16. lol. Yes the forced induction feeling is nice. An N/A drive is boaring.
  17. Looks like your fuel consumption has been steadily increasing over time Howie. Driving style?
  18. I believe there were some they didn't come with hicas as there is a powersteer pump available without hicas. Most likely the n/a base model. I'm probably wrong though as I don't know for sure.. Just something I vaguely remember.
  19. Shell V-Power is just another 98ron fuel. So its going to be same as the next 98ron fuel.
  20. Yer the extreme/v-power racing is good stuff. BUT as the thread asks. Who's used 98ron V-Power and are there any real world differences? on the dyno? Myself.. I've noticed no difference.
  21. A highflow won't screw with emissions as they don't test them at wot, only idle, cruise etc when its off boost. If anything the only thing it will screw with is making the car louder. But really.. what are these amature knob heads inspecting cars for when they have NFI what they are on about...
  22. RE: Rear spoiler. Fit up a cheap rear window light that you can pick up from the local auto store.
  23. Whats the All reports to be from reputable dealer qualified Mech.. Sounds like engrish. Did you question the abs control function? They really must have gone over it with a fine tooth comb to pick up the exh. manifold stud UNLESS its can be easily heard. So whats this about the reports etc? Does that mean a mechanic can supply a report and they dont check *doubt* or?
  24. I've tried it. Noticed no increase or decrease in economy and wasn't able to dial in any more ign. My conclusion.. its just another 98ron fuel. Wasn't optimax meant to be quite bad at one stage or was that just a rumour floating around? This is the first us here in SA have seen a 98ron fuel from Shell.
  25. Not really. I didn't check afr's and apart from the seat of the pants it didn't feel any different. A dyno may tell a different story. Different cars.. Possibly one that is making a heap more power than mine, mines not making a great deal peak just a big fat mid. On the note of fuels.. I went to have a play with the Extreme 98 10% Eth again tonight but noticed it had been bumped up to 12c more than their regular ULP. Not sure if they either forgot to adjust the price or they have increased its margin over regular ULP. I will keep an eye on it over the next couple of days and see if the price drops down or not. So.... I dropped BP98 in. Refuse to pay 12c more for a 10% eth 98ron fuel.
