-
mate after one day use, they are literaly pitch black. there not oily though. thats after 1 day use. i dnt leave them long enuf to see how they look after a week or so.
-
yeh this weekend, im gna borrow my mates afm and o2 sensor, and see if the spark plugs fowel up. if they do, then ill book her in for a touch up tune on monday. just wanna eliminate all possibilities before i spend money at a tuner
-
na course not. i only ever run bp ultimate or v power. dont use octane booster or any other additives
-
thats what i thought . well anyone else got any ideas?

How Reliable Is The Pfc Handcontroller?
QUICKY replied to DECIM8's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
out of curiosity, is ur "check engine" light flashing when the hand controller is picking up those high readings? -
will have a look for vacuum leaks. however, cars idle is stable and doesnt miss (prior to fowling plugs), and holds boost fine ALso, i discovered i had a tiny hole on the hose going into the fuel filter, which i have now fixed. any chance that could have contributed?
-
mate it very wel could be the tune, but i dont think the person who tuned it wouldnt have taken his time doing it properly. it was a reputable workshop. and the car was tuned last about 6 months ago. and hasnt had any new modifications. plus if it was the tune, why would it have been fine for the last 6 months, and only start fowling plugs in a day, after the last service? only thing, other then the fuel pressure reg (working fine), that i can think of that could cause this sudden offset is the new o2 sensor? but can a o2 sensor cauz plugs to fowel up that bad?
-
mechanic connected a fuel pressure gauge. reading was fine
-
plugs are not covered in oil. their just black. my oil level/pressure is always fine. no oil in my intakes or anything of the sort.
-
well car doesnt hunt or miss on idle. only when the plugs get fowled it begins to do so. im leaning to possibly the new o2 sensor being the calprit. what you guys think?
-
yeh mate course the power fc is tuned. just had my fuel pressure tested, and its fine . so im back to square 1. anyone got any other ideas?
-
yeh i think it does. ill grab another fuel reg tomorrow and see how i go. ill keep u posted thanks guys

well i think its safe to conclude its runing rich without putting it on the dyno (shit fuel economy, plus spark plugs getting fowled hellas quick). i dnt want to pay some bloke 100 bux for his time on the dyno to tell me my car is running rich. my question is WHAT could have happened since the service that is causing it to dump so much fuel and therefore fowel plugs in one day.
-
mate i got no clue how to do that lol. if anyone knows how to do that and can meet me sumwhere etc (ide obviously pay them for their trouble) ide really appreciate it. any other ideas other then it being tune related? just seems odd to foul up, brand spanking new plugs (all fo a sudden) in a day.
-
it wasnt doing it prior to servicing. nor was the tune played with. fuel economy has always been terrible. was getting bout 250km per tank, hence my reason for changing the o2 sensor. but other then that, neither the cas nor the tune was played with

didnt cross my mind :|

hey guys, so this is my story. sent my car (r33 with rb25det NEO) to get services. got oil, plugs, filters and even o2 sensor changed. got the car back, all sweet. next day car developed a miss on idle. it was missing only on idle ( would not miss under load, even on high boost). thought he may have used the wrong plugs, so i took off d plugs (noticed they were all black and fowled) and replaced then with ngk 6's gapped to 0.8. Started her up, and she was running fine. NEXT DAY, that miss on idle returned, and was getting progressively worst. however, when driving its fine. i then decided to take out the plugs again, and see what the go was. when i took out the plugs, i noticed that, once again, all 6 plugs were BLACK and fowled. so i think its safe to say that the car (for sum odd reason) is running hella rich, and therefore fowling all the plugs. now, only thing i can think of is maybe a shagged fuel pressure regulator. other then that i got nothing . can anyone suggest any other culprits that could contribute to fowling all 6 plugs that quickly . MODS list: -3inch turbo back exhaust with high flow cat -ebc (0.6bar low, 0.9bar high) -Power FC -arc induction box -fmic everything else (injectors, fuel pump, coils etc) are stock standard any help would be greatly appreciated guys, cheers

dude im pretty certain its d lifters and therefore nothign to worry bout. like alot of people have stated, use 5-30 oil and that may fix the problem
-
mate i think it could be ur lifter since its going away once the car is warm. try using thiker oil
-
mate i wouldnt be worried if i was you.

ask travis, since he seems to be josh's public spokesman. alwaysss telling people that josh is veryyyy busy and is doing the best he can, yet continues to not explain to us what being busy, has to do with answering phone calls or messages
-
travis keep brown nosing josh, noone really gives a f**k. peoples experiences with him speak for themselves. and for the record my mate bought a ztune kit of josh, and josh fitted and painted it. and ill tel you one thing you retart, they had to f**king modify the shit out of it before it sat flush. so had he not got josh to fit it, it would have never sat properly. so dont put ur 2c in where its not wanted
-
hahaha il tel you why the kit didnt fit? its not because the car was "BUCKLED", its because the kit is a cheap copy (hence the prices). all cheap make kits never ever fit exactly, and always need to be modified to sit properly, hence why they charge that bit extra to have it fitted. jetspeed and carmate kits are just the same. when ur paying under a grand for a full kit, its pretty obvious that you aint going to get the best quality kit.

Anyone Ever Had Bad Experience With Js Auto Imports
QUICKY replied to ton-kra's topic in New South Wales
travis, u seem to be sticking up for josh in every thread made bout him. seriously stop making excuses for the bloke. if he CHOOSES to take on the extra workload, then thats his damn problem. and his customers shouldnt be forced to wait for him to have time for them. if he wants them to wait, then he should wait to get his payment. simple as that. You also dont seem to reply to us as to why he doesnt answer phone calls or messages/emails. its only when someone makes a thread about the bloke that he decides to reply. And this is not one incident, plenty of people seem to be complaining bout his service. end of the day if josh cant handle the workload (despite how hard he may be working) he should A) not accept more work than he can actually produce. or B) open his pocket a bit and employ more employees, because this is simple unacceptable.
