  1. Can I be part of this comparison too?
  2. Come again?
  3. Take it back Brandon, but this time, set the rev limit to 2500rpm, so they can move the car around the shop, nothing more.
  4. Keep us informed of any developments Brandon... I too would be pissed. I was pissed off when I learnt my old man took my cousins for a "spin" on Christams day whilst I was in Japan!
  5. Man, I miss Japan!
  6. If everyone send 10 e-mails to him, then we could flood his inbox :hellpisd: Admin, want to release those details? :hatespam:
  7. Hey Shane, how do we "register" for this event? I and a few friends would be very keen to attend, but I assume places are strictly limited?
  8. I may not know the intricacies of tuning, but wtf has boost got to do with running rich/lean? Sounds more like your tuner hasn't got his fuel mapping correct than whether you're running too much boost... I'm running 2530s at 19psi and my AFR is sitting dead on 12.0, I don't know why you'd want to run these turbos at a lower boost pressure than that.
  9. I thought that's how they were meant to operate?
  10. Compensation for what though Brandon? Although they went against what you said, and had no reason to drive that far, I don't see them giving you anything. Perhaps you might be satisfied if the culprit is fired??
  11. White '93 R32 GTR, HKS2530s with all the necessary ancillaries.
  12. Ditch the surge tank and start again Why not take it to another reputable place and have them assess it for you? I'm sure ICE could help out, as could Ben.
  13. Take a photo to show the fuel you can see.
  14. Gary, the fuel tank should be sealed 100% except for lines running to/from it, and the breather pipe. You shouldn't be able to visualise fuel at all. I'd say this is part of your fuel consumption problem... a lot is probably sloshing around and splashing out; also a lot is lost due to evaporation given the volatility of petrol.
  15. Why is your boot grey? The inspection hole cover has been cut, but that doesn't necessarily mean that fuel vapour will enter the cabin as the fuel gauge unit and fuel pump harness assembly should keep the tank sealed. Does the boot smell strongly of fuel? I didn't think there was a heap of airflow between the boot and the cabin as the only vents are between the parcel shelf and boot, aren't they? There's a nice solid metal wall on the front side of the boot. Do the alignment marks line up for the fuel gauge assembly and fuel tank?
  16. Gary, just for reference, here's a picture of my boot, and a picture of what it looks like with carpet pulled back. There is a cover on the top of the fuel tank with a rubber grommet on it. Two power lines run into the Bosch pump - one factory, one supplementary power source as the pump draws more current that the factory wiring can support.
  17. It's even more fun when it's not stock
  18. Nothing wrong with a 180km/h speedo - it's easier to keep within the bullsh1t 3km/h buffer one gets in Victoria.
  19. What do the IMPUL variety retail for?

How much was the freight on the rims? I'm considering getting some TE37s through Dave too...
  21. I spend 4 weeks in Japan December/January 2002/2003 and spent a bit of time boarding. All I can say is the powder is excellent, very deep, and often untouched. I spend a day where I didn't cross a track made by another snowboarder! Look for the midweek deals, where you can get 1/2 price lift tickets too. I found that Raicho Valley and Nagareha had lift tickets that equated to about $15/day...
  22. David, are they the 'wet' weather version of the Azenis with the 2 longitudinal grooves? I personally recommend the 'street slick' version of Azenis. The RT215 which I've run on both my WRX and GTR are an excellent tyre. They're reasonably grippy in the wet too (surprisingly) unless there's deep standing water. http://www.falkentire.com/tires/azsprt_info.jpg
  23. Very nice!
  24. Ok, so it was only a picture, not a write up? I'll rephrase; when ASM does a feature on a car I've been told they demand exclusive rights to it, preventing it being featured in any other magazine.
  25. I thought the sticker was applied when the timing cover was done. When we did mine, the packet containing the belt had a nice silver sticker that I filled out - date and odometer reading of timing belt replacement. There was no sticker to replace; it was a completely new sticker. As for the dealer being at fault... I'll reiterate what the others have said - your mate was a little dubious about the cars past. He should've walked away, but he was hoping it was a bargain. The real person he should be pissed off about is the 4wd driver. He's the one who's written the car off. You stated there was someone that came to your mates aid, did they see the registration number? Was a police report filed? Any other witnesses?
