  1. 4) depends on ur front bar, i had to make some alterations due to the design of my greddy front bumper (n1 air ducts). if you take out the reinforcement bumper there will be nothing but ur radiator support bar in the way if you get into a front end collision. if u do get in a front end collision without it, the front of your car will be f*kd
  2. november last year, me and my mate drove to just bout every tuner we could find in WA to find a tuner for his Haltech, and no one wanted to touch it! after about 6 places we got refered to a shop who apparantly like working on haltechs. he drove in with a Tune from C-RED with 21psi 400rwhp (gt35r, rb25det,6boost etc) drove out with 325hp on bout 3psi less. every shop was saying "na let us take out the haltech and install something else" moral of the story is, haltech = fail investement of $1200 ive heard similiar things about wolf 3d's
  3. mine is 86.5mm cant remember what thickness the head gasket was atm, think it was cometic metal headgasket mulit layer VL Turbo one got compression of 160 on all 6 --pistons are 8.5:1 can ask my tuner if u need
  4. never experienced that before.. twin turbo issue..? cant u just reach for a lower gear?
  5. do u have any proof that the engine is even built? or did he just hand u receipts from when his friends, friends built a motor. common misconception is that building a motor gives u fully awesome big power, when all it does is make the engine components stronger. sure u can make 650rwhp and the motor will last 12months or you can run the same motor at 300rwhp and last 10years

  8. .. well considering that autoworx is an sauwa sponsor, it prob wasnt the best idea to come asking 'am i getting ripped off' as he posts quite regularly, no doubt will see ur stupid question and i doubt you'll get a warm reception when u go back there. u cant really say 'am i gettin ripped off' anyway because you clearly have no idea what you want to use the car for. if i were you saying 'i have no idea about cars' i'd go to a mechanic and spent few hundred bucks getting the car checked out first ie compression test etc before u start upgrading only to blow the motor.
  9. for over 300rwhp u will need to go bigger injectors, i woulndnt even touch ur fpr unless u change fuel rails. there is no "better plug and play" fuel pump, they both have 2 wires and then cable tie them down. for ur question about taking cnrs, surging etc, u just measure the distance in ur fuel tank and install the pump accordingly, keep it nice and low in the tank and you'll be fine. or u can do what commodore drivers do "DUrrrrr it surges while im doing dohnuts, can u guys install a NOS kit so when it surges i can just give it a quick hit of NOS?"

  11. spot on mate, ovaboost already had a go, telling me they only want to work with 6boost manifolds/steam pipe, mostly its because i was impatient and a 6boost manifold would have taken another month + $1400 i had the 2nd manifold machined straight and had the welds/runners checked and modified if needed, but these manifolds are typical for overboosting i will be getting a 6boobs manifold, likely after the engine has been run in -one to suit my T04Z plans i rang the shop today, nothing new to report since the compression test, still waiting for some custom fab work. -also im not sure if they sussed a way to close the bonnet

  13. all i can say about cypher is few months back my mate went in with his rb25det- 400rwhp 6boost, gt35r, haltech, 22psi etc etc (tuned by CRED) and then re-tune by cypher turned up 315rwhp on 18psi and the guy reckons you couldnt get anymore. like an rb25det with gt35r would only make 300rwhp................ now its tuned to 390rwhp 19psi
  14. ***PM ME FOR NAME***.. i dropped past the mechanic at the bottom of my street other day to grab a bulb and noticed someone had their r34 in their.. shits me, also the amount of skylines and wrx's i've see lately that pull into woolworths etc fuel stations to fill up with cheap 95 RON fuel! /rant dude, there's not alot you can do. If u dont know what ur looking at and are worried about it, take it to a decent shop like ovaboost, hyperdrive etc they'll tell u whats wrong. if they do find something wasnt done right you can prob call ***PM ME FOR NAME*** and go from there also for future reference, for something like a brake pad change, taking it to someone like joe blows at the bottom of the street or a jap performance shop (ie see above) it would be the difference between $10-$20
  15. ok so the car is still in the shop........ but thought id throw up a few teasers MANIFOLD ONE: MANIFOLD TWO: note that the first manifold sat too close to the strut tower so the turbo was fouling, and now the 2nd manifold is really close to the rocker cover. also something to note is that both of the exhaust manifolds had to be modified ie grinded/cut on the bottom in sections by Ovaboost because an rb25 manifold will foul on the rb30 block! you can also see that ovaboost have moved the tensioner to above the water pump hopefully have dyno results soon!
  16. super hicas, hicas, its all the same shiz, there are few ways of doing it tho, some ppl are happy jsut to put in a lock bar, some ppl remove the whole system lines, fuse/relay etc u can buy shitty chinese ones, or for about $50-$80 more u can buy urself a good one. talk to Jeremy at styled 2 race he got me in my whiteline one

  18. in the R32's there is a control unit which is under your parcel shelf if u remove or unplug that, ur steering will go hard like u dont have power steering. i dont know about R33's - sell R33 buy R32 problem solved
  19. last time i checked my gtst bonnet was hitting on my rocker cover breathers and i think also my turbo.. to be continued
  20. looks, style and all round awesomness, the rx7, BUT as a daily it would fail hard. if you want to go fast u better be close to a BP station, also im assuming that its an auto? hitting 8-9k rpm on any auto box i'd not reccomend and good luck finding a replacement s15 = chicks car, get that.
