  2. Where abouts in Bris are ya?
  3. As opposed to post? hehe. Cute kittens.
  4. I thought manuals would be better on fuel but coz of the different gear ratios. It's easier to travel at 100klm in 5th gear than it is to travel at 100klm in the same car in 3rd gear (most auto boxes on 4 cyls are 3 gears only).
  5. If it was for a daily only and you did not really car about much else other than reliability and fuel economy I would go for a Nissan Pulsar, Toyota Corolla, Ford Laser etc.. All four cyls so rego, insurance, running costs are cheap as. Considering you got $10k to spend though you could look at some of the Subaru Libertys etc..
  6. I reckon it looks sick. Wish my R33 looked like that.
  7. I'm looking to get to the track early next year after I sort a few small things out on my car. QR means Qld Rail to me.. I'm sure you mean qld racing or something though?
  8. That's a VERY bold statement.
  9. Maintenance can play a big part in fuel economy.. Do all your fluids, plugs, o2 sensor, oil/fuel filter etc. If that doesn't work get some sort of engine management happening (even piggyback) and get your A/F ratios tuned etc.
  10. How come you're selling the rims on eBay for cheaper? R32 GTR Rims (ebay) Ripping off the good ol' SAU members sad panda haha.
  11. Wait til you receive something in the mail and then see a lawyer straight away. Without a lawyer you'll be f***ed. I was in a similar situation earlier this year (except I was just speeding, no accident) and the only thing that saved me was an affidavit from my boss basically saying I would lose my job and the presence of a lawyer. The lawyer (he's actually a barrister) was a friend of a friend.. so it didn't cost me anything apart from a bottle of some expensive bourbon. I think one of my saving graces was the fact that I had no previous traffic offenses though. What do you do for work and do you require your licence for it?
  12. Tek, me and you always seem to end up with the same problems on our skylines lol. I'm having this exact same problem. Clutch was just replaced with a Jim Berry made clutch, hd organic type with 2100 clamp load. Noises occur whilst accelerating before about 2,500 to 3000rpm in all gears, except for maybe 5th?? Not sure about 5th. My fly-wheel was machined when they replaced the clutch. Throw-out bearing was replaced. This was only a week ago. I replaced my gearbox oil about 2 months ago with Motul 300. Wtf is this noise lol. It's not cool hey.... fix one thing, another breaks.. Still love my skyline, but man..... EDIT - Gearbox feels completely fine to drive, no gear changing problems etc that would suggest synchros??? Please help.
  13. Car looks teh sex mate. Simple R32's look the best imo.
  14. Yes, yes and yes. There's been a couple of good threads on this, do a search.
  15. I was thinking the same thing haha.
  16. You've got like a 90% chance it will be coilpacks / spark plugs etc. The other 10% chance would be stuff like fuel filter, fuel pump etc. What fuel are you using? Could also be fuel if you've put some dodgy stuff in. I only put BP Ultimate in mine.
  17. Skyline's aren't a cheap car to run by any means.. Maintenance, insurance and running costs are all higher than normal every day cars. If cheap motoring is what you're after look elsewhere. Having said that, Skyline's will be reliable if you look after them as said previously. The stuff that you've posted is an absolute load of crap. Maybe that sort of stuff is true if you are using your car for drags / track / drift events twice a week, lol. Over-heating on long trips lol..
  18. Nice, my car's very similar to yours in looks.. your's is probably a tad lower. Well I'm convinced.. I know what I need to do ..
  19. I love gun metal gray. Toughest of all the colours imo. Get some pics up ..
  20. I have been in a car where I've told the driver to stop acting like a d**khead and they haven't.. Think they are all tough doing high speeds in and out of traffic. Unfortunately the driver is also my best mate, I've come so close to slapping him down for some of the stupid shit he's done. Really angers me the disregard he had for my wishes and fear for my own personal safety too. It's f***ed up.
  21. Yeah, that's my only concern, if only they were a 17...
  22. Considering getting a set of R32 GTR rims to put on my R33. Some people may have read my other thread about the slight scraping problems I'm having with my 350z rims. Might get them just for track days, but might use them to replace my 350z rim if they look decent enough. Being a 16" rim I doubt they will. who knows.. Can pick them up pretty cheap, and I'd imagine they'd be pretty damn light. Anyone know how light? What's people's opinions on this? Anyone seen them on an R33, look any good (pics would be great)? They are the right offset as far as I know.
