  1. Im extremely excited about this game!!! Its taken a while to be released, but oh well should be good
  2. sorry to rain on your parade but i got my thread deleted by mods for posting on behalf of someone. According to rules you are not allowed too do so.
  3. it went awesome. It was my first time there and i would definitely recommend going. Good environment and you can talk to cops who are interested in cars and a RTA who give you very informative information on legalities of mods. I even got a photo of me inside the cop car but the pictures of the whole night were very shit as my friends camera was poor quality. Ill post some pictures in a second.
  4. Some pics from the night http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=317139 Holden R8 VE SS Ute (TAKEN) = 313.7 HP Nissan Skyline R32 (Shiny) = 320.9HP Nissan Sil80 (Racing Logic) = 280.9HP Honda S2000 (VTEC) = 269.0HP Nissan Skyline R32 GTR (TRP Racing) = 555.4HP Nissan Skyline R32 GTR (GODZLA) = 629.1HP Nissan Skyline R32 GTR (FAT GTR) = 447.90HP Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T (stan89's) = 260.5HP Mercedes Benz SLK230 = 128.6HP (traction control causing issue) I didn't get rest of power figures from other cars there, because I had to go home. but those figures are 100% correct.
  5. yeah i got more time off work today. Positive: so far I've got them working on low beam look awesome will take a picture Negative: makes a buzzing sound like you said and not working on high beams. not sure if I should put everything back together or wait for my friend who is good with electrical to assist?
  6. so no one wants to cruise up together from Gold Coast? I finish work at 3 tomorrow, so I would probably leave around 6:30pm??? It would be good to have a skyline cruise sort of thing up there with some members on here. If anyone would like to cruise along just send a PM Cheers.
  7. They don't look over cars, they are there at their own free will. Be a stupid inside and outside and I'm sure you will get done, cops do patrol outside Toombul car park in case people do stupid stuff when they leave. So yeah basically behave and you shouldn't have any trouble.
  8. I installed mine but having trouble figuring which wire to crimp the positive (+) and Negative too (-) I get this weird buzzing sound when lights on and the dials are on too. so don't know whats the go with that.
  9. A lot of people will be turning up apparently, also you guys are all from Brisbane. I'm coming from Gold Coast to go to this Event so I'm sure you guys can travel a few minutes from home to at least check it out.
  10. Is no one interested or no one going on SAU?? thought their would be some interest posted up so far 46 people have viewed this thread already.

  13. I came across instructions on ebay from the product they were selling. The following is a generic installation guide. The first step is to remove the instrument cluster. Removing the 2 screws located in the top portion of the cowl, and gently pulling on the bottom portion of the instrument cowl. The panel is usually on held on clips so you will have to pull it out. Then remove the remaining 4 screws (two on the top portion, and the other two on the bottom right and left respectively) holding down the actual cluster and slowly remove it. Now you have very little room to work with, as the connectors need to be carefully unfastened and removed. BE CAREFUL! Do not damage any of the connectors or part of the cluster's backside. Now you will remove the front clear face shield, do this by pushing in the retaining pieces which are found on the corners, then slide it out the clear glass. This will remove the face, and allow you access to the gauges. When installing the gauges. Take precautions, DO NOT PULL THE NEEDLES OUT DO NOT MOVE THE FUEL NEEDLE. KEEP IT IN ONE PLACE WHILE SLIDING THE GAUGES DO NOT BEND THE NEEDLE THE WORST THING IS PULLING OUT THE SPEEDO / RPM NEEDLES. HOLD THE NEEDLES DOWN WHILE SLIDING THE GAUGES IN. YOU CAN MOVE THE NEEDLE LEFT AND RIGHT TO GET A GOOD SPOT TO SLIDE IN THE GAUGES BUT DO NOT PULL IT UP. [*]Carefully unscrew the 2 screws holding the RPM / SPEEDO face gauges on. (IF NECESSARY ONLY - pull the needle stopper slowly! You can damage it if you use any sharp tip. Use needle nose pliers. Slowly and gently push and work the gauges on. You may want to use a rounded tip (like a pen) and push the bubbled gauge where the needle is. If you don't, then it may interfere with the proper operation. The fit will be tight as it is, and having the extruding underside is best to get out of the way. You then replace the screws and needle stop.) [*]Next will remove the screws and needle stops on the speedo and need to slide the trip odometer hole over first. Then work the needle in and work the gauge on. This one will require a lot of time. If you did the speedo and tachometer gauges they will have free play. Meaning they don't have any tension stopping or slowing them from doing what they were designed for. After your prolonged battle to get the gauges on, you will string the power lines out of the cluster and place the transparent face back on. Gently and slowly close it to not kink any line. Do not put the instrument cluster back into its place yet. [*]Wires Connection: Power and ground leads are hardwired to the power inverter (black box). The power lead (red wire), which has an in-line 1-amp fuse, should be connected to your vehicle's dash lights power wire or cigarette lighter power wire. While the ground lead (black wire) should be connected to an existing ground wire or any clean metal surface. [*]2-pin female connectors are hardwired to the power inverter. Connect each gauge overlay to these connectors. [*]Power Inverter, Dimming Switch or On/Off Switch Mounting: (If comes with the kit) Using the supplied self-adhesive foam pad, you can mount the power inverter and dimming switch or on/off switch on any flat surface. Each kit comes with either Dimming Switch or On/Off Switch, but not both. [*]Put everything back together in the reverse step as you pulled everything out. Installation Note: #1 -- Gauge installation is recommended for experienced installers. #2 -- The power inverter for the indiglos is very sensitive. You could burn it out if the wattage is too high. To prevent this from happening, you can connect a separate 10 Amp fuse inline with the red wire #3 -- If the gauge faces are loose, you can use 3M thin double sided tape to stick them on the stock gauges. here is the link to that text anyway http://stores.ebay.com.au/Glow-Dials/Dials...nstruction.html I also have another website link with pictures going through the process with you. But ill have to get that when I get home. Hope that helps.
  14. Toombul is a Police organised event where car enthusiasts can meet in a safe environment without the worry of idiots doing burnouts etc. Come and have a look at modified vehicles that are owned by people just like you, which have an appreciation of all tastes of motor vehicle. The Police involved are friendly and have an interest in motor vehicles so feel free to have a chat or if the booze bus is there by all means ask for a tour. BBQ will be put on by "someone" (being organised) so dig deep and have a big feed. Usually it winds up about the 10.00pm mark, so come and be sociable without the stress of being told to move on TOOMBUL CARPARK - Sandgate Road THURSDAY 17TH JULY START FROM 8:00pm So anyone from SAU going? I will be heading up from the Gold Coast if anyone is interested in cruising up with me.
  15. were you out last night or were u being sarcastic ? I was just shocked to see so many out in one night. Its been a while since I've been on a cruise so yeah and I haven't been around surfers for long time.
  16. Hey I was cruising with some friends and we went through Southport and saw like 20 cops in patrol cars parked in a parking lot all talking to each other. So while we were driving slowly passed we decided to cruise around places that they weren't likely to go. also saw a undercover Aurion which pulled over a 4WD and a undercover Commodore pull over someone else. Just wondering if it was a Blitz getting prepared for the Saturday night? here is the map of where they were.
  17. I followed r33cruiser's method and got it done but it was a awful process. I mean if I had a better jack that lifted the car higher i wouldn't have to squeeze my hand and cut my myself trying to poke a coat hanger through the hole. etc etc was it worth it? not really
  18. Just got home from work now. But haven't received them yet so should be here by either Monday or Tuesday. Yeah they are really appealing and give more light instead of the stock darl look. I'm just thinking whether i should get them professionally installed or attempt myself....
  19. omg that is crazy..... $400 for a game account
  20. Sloane

  23. hey yeah I just bought a kit then the ones for $76 finished and now unavailable to buy So I went with the $120 kit instead anyway please post some pictures up when you get them installed. I cant wait to receive them.
  24. geez don't have to be rude. I was basically asking which grommet to thread the wiring through. (Viet boy) has assisted me with the installation. So all is well.
  25. Hey Guys Thanks for the replies. Ive decided to purchase over eBay, though I was stopped when i came across this other store on eBay selling a set for only $76.64 inc delivery from UK which had good quality pictures of the EL Dials lit up. The store sells some other range of vehicle Dials too. Was wondering if I should buy from this store instead of the other one in Melbourne for $120 inc delivery here is the link for anyone interested. http://stores.ebay.com.au/Glow-Dials BTW: Both stores have reputable feedback from other buyers. so it would mainly come down to saving $43.36 on a kit
