  1. Turbos are back on the engine, which is going back into the car as we speak. All of the hard piping has arrived and is very shiney!
  2. Good thread Mark! We are glad to be a part of the build up! Looking forward to having your car on the dyno with some e85 and custom tuning your Cobb access port.
  3. Are these to suit solid lifter or hyrdaulic lifter? They are different part numbers.
  4. We get power fc's repaired here in Brisbane. No need to send them back to Japan!
  5. It might be a bit of a drive, but if you come to my workshop in Brisbane, I am sure we can suss it out for you. 6. A V88 kit would work fine and get rid of the air flow meters like you want. It should also have enough inputs/outputs for everything that you would want to run in the future. I personally run an Autronic SM4 in my R34 GTR with Autronic CDI. It works a treat and is making 900+hp at the wheels. The Vipec should do the same job.
  7. Hi Guys, Just thought I would show you our latest creation. These will be available shortly for sale throughout Australia, and price is being worked out at the moment, but here is a sneak peak! The kit consists of a large surge tank, with speedflow weld on fittings. Speedflow fittings supplied can be hose tail or push on type. 2 x Bosch 044's are included, as well as check valves and fittings. Just hook up the hoses and you are ready to use it! 8. We are yet to purchase the injectors for the r35, but I think we will go for 1000cc, probably ID. Still doing my research though.
  9. I run my R34 GTR on E85 and we make 940hp on 37psi. On 98 octane we made just under 600hp on 23psi. We are also tuning a customers R35 GTR on E85 in the coming weeks, so I will be sure to post up the results!
  10. We made the mounts for a R32 GTST with RB25/30. Sat the sump just above the cross member and it just clears the bonnet. Not sure about the fuse box as we have only had a neo engine in the VC commodore, so everything was custom. If it did hit, we would just move it out the way.
  11. We made custom lowered engine mounts to get it to fit. Was much better than spacing down the subframe.
  12. It is simply the ECU trying to protect the engine due to all the mods. It pulls the timing out due to the higher airflow volume but can only do so until ~5500rpm mark, which is why it then starts making big power. You can try retarding the timing on the CAS to see if you can smooth it out, turn the boost down (run wastegate, although with no cat it will run higher boost on wastegate, so putting a cat back into it will actually help until you get the ECU sorted) other than that you will need a tune to solve the problem. ECU's that you could use are (based on what we use, there are plenty of brands):- VIPEC Nistune Power FC Autronic Obviously the above ECU's vary with features, prices, tuning costs and ultimately benefits to the end user so it is important to choose one that will suit you long term. If you want to, I would be more than happy to help make sense of it all via PM or email.
  13. As above, check that the crank angle sensor is working (test it out of the car to see if you can get spark). Obviously check that everything is plugged in, but start at the CAS and work your way back towards the ECU. Make sure you have fuel etc.
  14. I would suggest buying from a reputable supplier so that would be no issue of being ripped.
  15. I hassled my supplier about the N1 oil pump price, I can now supply for $465 to SAU members!
  16. Its something that you will have to try in your engine bay because it in a different engine bay, but there should be a combination of runners and tops that will work with your car. We fitted a neo 25 into a VC commodore and we ran into problems with the large brake booster taking up a big chunk of area near the firewall/plenum. What we noticed was that the r34 runners extend further away from the engine and the plenum sat further away to suit so that it was fouling on the booster. Luckily we had another gtst in the workshop with a plazmaman setup on it, so we test fitted that and it turned out it was about 10-15mm closer to the engine and it was just enough to clear the booster. So we bought a second hand set of r33 runners and swaped the r34 plenum with an r33 one from Plazmaman. It took lots longer to install, but there was a solution.
  17. We have a standard neo head (just head studs and nitto head gasket) on a standard bottom end making 587hp on 25-26psi and the valve train is fine. As it has been said before, just crank the boost and power into it until there is a problem. If you do have the head apart for cams etc, then obviously maximise the opportunity and put some springs in there too.
  18. Unfortunately not. We used to do plenty of SR20 work a few years ago, but since that time the large majority has been RB's and 2J's. We still do SR's but not to the same extent or quantity that we used to. Hypertune introduced their plenum after this time, so I haven't really had a customer request to do it, so we haven't. I really want to build a street/drag car to take out the under 2.4L radial record, but am a bit preoccupied with the workshop and our r34. If I find the right client and he wants to test this sort of stuff, then yes I would love to see how they compare. I dare say it would be a similar situation in that the shorter runners creates less torque in the mid range, later spool, but good outright power.
  19. We have been using the Turbosmart EBoost Street's (its the latest one, not the big round unit) and had very very good results. Had plenty of experience with the Profec B and I would choose the Turbosmart every time. Another good choice would be the HKS EVC-S. We keep both in stock.
  20. No one is doubting the even-ness in flow of either product, hell that is why I have a HYPERTUNE plenum on my r34 gtr. The engineering and design of there (hypertune) plenum's mean there is only a 0.5% difference from the highest to the lowest runner. (I can't remember exactly where that number came from, but I am pretty sure the lad's at Hypertune told me that when I was looking at my options). The single biggest factor when deciding between these 2 plenums (plazmaman and Greddy) is the loss of midrange torque due to the short runner on the Greddy, and the second is SPACE. The Plazmaman sits up higher the whole way along and as such becomes unsuitable for some installations (such as RB25's into s13's, rb20's into old school Capri's etc). Sometimes it is a little more headache with the Plazmaman because of this, but we try every possible solution before throwing on a Greddy. We have even used R33 runners/PM tops on R34 engines as they sit in different locations (we did this on the VC commodore with NEO RB25 conversion).
  21. Actually we are running a standard R32 GTR CAS with the autronic configured for the output signal for it (this has been made possible thanks to a recent autronic firmware upgrade). Before this (on the drift car) we used the autronic stepper wheel in the standard CAS body which was extra cost and effort). I would LOVE a external crank trigger set up as I am worried about ignition scatter with the larger cams/springs and at higher rpm, but we haven't had a good chance to get a package sorted for it (been too busy on customer cars). I have spoken to Autronic about it and the requirements aren't too crazy, just some development time on the first one.
  22. I can help you out with this. Send me a PM.
