  1. So while ur POD was ON your intake pipe youd have your car runnign and spray it with high pressure water to remove dirt..... All i could see this doing is pushing it thorugh the filter and ito ur engine to remove it.....
  2. Well my mate had just got 1600 worth of work done by them so no not really!
  3. Yeah we do.... But are we gonna trust these seals in a 10yo+ car... I think not. Espesh for the little effort it will take to rag or tape it, a lot less then if they get water in them ayyy?
  4. Thats interesting..... Your qoute is a solid 400+ dollars cheaper than a mate of mine who got a qoute on the same work a month or so ago...... awesome.... :S
  5. dont put up the P plates Problem solved.
  6. Ok for those that are interested this is my plan of attack: when car is cold: Cover Pod, AFM and alarm speaker with plastic bags Place rags over coilpack cover to help prevent water getting under it spray engine bay with CT18 (truck wash) Let it sit for 5-10 minutes Spray down bay with pressure cleaner being careful not to drench any one part for too long and stand a good distance back let it sit for 5 minutes then start and idle car till its evaporate water turn it off give the entire bay a good spray with some silicone spray and let it sit for 30 mins before starting again. Sound good?
  7. Hi All, As thread title says im wondering how the rest of us clean our engine bays.... I USUALLY just use tire shine on anything black and give it a wipe over. BUT: 2 weeks ago going to a mates place up the river drove a solid 10k's on a dirt road and now theirs this fine dust everywhere AAHHHHH HATING LIFE..... So the old wipe it down isnt going to get into all the small tight places so what shall i do? Ive read about people pressure cleaning their engine bay but I dont really feel comfortable doing this. What are your thoughts? Would be nice if i could pressure clean it cos ive got one at home Cheers, Chris
  8. Hi nick! Long time no see Yeah their a prick to get at those bolts but it wont be one loose.... Got to them all in the end did change one of them to a 6mm allen key so it had a smaller head cos the bolt was fouling on the dump. Dont really want boostworx doing much to the stag apart from tuning safcII and SITC truth be known, but we'll keep why off the forums cos their good blokes.
  9. its not going to require more than one pour is it? Not split level or anything? Split level pours usually take another day atleast!
  10. well this morning their was no vibration or tapping on the floor of the car when it started??
  11. yeah it only just taps it a tiny bit when it first starts then its gone....? Might loosen off the cat bolts a tiny tiny bit and see if that drops it down abit... If that doesnt work ill take it off spray the seciton of pipe and under car where i think its rubbing drive around for a week or soo. rip it off and c where the paints gone to work out what i need to either smack flat or remove or if i need to get it bent slightly.
  12. So this vibrating was their thismornign again.... Took of the G box support cos it was might close to that and buzzed 2 mm off it on the very outer edge near the dump(its not sturctual dw!) Start up and its gone... Then it rattle a tiny bit again grrrr! Realised its prob a mm or 2 from the floor of the stag and sometimes will vibrate on it but only for first couple of seconds or randomly for a couple of seconds when going slow.. Ill see how it goes and if it does it at all while cruising or at traffic lights.
  13. Well the place I got mine from was well priced but they Fu(ked my rear bar (ended up getting it resprayed for me) and the interior needed some adjusting by myself before it all layed flat in the boot. Want to meet up so you can check it out?
  14. Ok so it did fit. When i first started the car their was a VERY ANOYING WEIIR vibration coming through the floor of the car around the G box area. Last for about 20 secs.. then dissapeared? Thinking it might have been hitting the floor of the stag, then settled itself down? Drove around for a bit to let the beast warm up then gave it some. Car hit highest boost it ever has (13.something psi) so I turned down the ebc till it was hitting 12. So it must have made a difference
  15. Well chad how about I be the test dummy and ill post up how it goes Also when are we taking both our racing heart equiped stags out with jetskis in tow?
  16. Just wondering if the front/dump pipe of a r33 gtst is the same as the ones for a s1 stag... dont see why it wouldnbt be as their both running rb25det's. Justjap also have the same pipe listed for r33/r32 and wgnc34's.... Thinking about buying a 3" bellmouth zx force dump pipe tomorrow for the stag. Then time for a retune of SAFCII, SITC and EBC and i think im done on engine mods till its time for a bigger whistling friend. Maybe time for some slotted rotors.
  17. Sitting at the desk at work look up out window perfect timing.... spotted a white series 2 Autech (260RS) cross over Gawler st in Mount Barker.... Anyone from here?
  18. you will notice a improvement in fuel economy once you install a nice free flowing system onto your stag.
  19. Parting it will take alot of time and effort and you WILL be left over with a heap of bits and pieces... As for the back stag id hold onto it mate. Its not going to sell for 17 unless your willing to sit on it for a while. Im sure its worth more than 17 to you. Adam was very lucky with with silver s2. Returned it all to stock and sold all parts within two weeks
  20. drove adelaide to melblourne last week, would have made 600k's to the tank but filled up well before pertoll light came on at 580!! WIth everymod ive done economy has improved
  21. spotted black r35gtr going up green hill road thisarvo..... was like what wait what is that and then OMG it is!!! also spotted this on way home from melb two days ago, with my latest toy in tow
  22. mat, after you left bp at victor... ANOTHER stag rocked up! White S2 driven by an older lady, even had a chat to her about them! stocked! That makes for me, cheffstagea, your self, her, and 2 others stags their today that we saw and one on sunday in goolwa! 7 stags in 2 days on the south coast
  23. Tried Motortraders pete? They have a branch at norwood in a backstreet...
  24. just a quick heads up: Driving home from Barker to Adelaide went through 3 cameras in the hills. I was doing well under the limit 2 on the road between littlehampton and balhanah and 1 on the lofty turnoff on greenhill road
  25. Roo, Im 99% sure the 26's run a different piping set up for the rad. than our 25's
