  1. Yes i've heard a turbo spool before, mate has a 200sx, guy i work with has a 32gtr twin turbo thats off its tits... As for the brake pedal it felt alright, couldn't really feel the shudder in that felt it more through the steering wheel.
  2. the sound was just a louder than usual sound coming from the enight about 2.5k rmp. So i think its turbo. As for the shudder as soon as i drove it braking before a corner instantly i noticed that their was a shudder felt in the steering.
  3. He had nothing at all to say about it. He didnt really have much of a clue fullstop. Im in South Australia No no af. market boost controller
  4. Yeah i recon it is the turbo... Poor thing . Loved the car mines this noise.. Im gussing it could be pricey to fix aswell. Also had two alarms? Stock and a viper so when you unlock it you had to use the normal stag remote and then the viper remote?
  5. Hi all, As the thread title suggests, yesterday a mate and I went out to test drive a series 1 stag. Pretty stock with some nice rims but they were small like 16's, and firmer suspension in the front of the car. Anyway more to the point: Above about 2500/2800 rpm their was a loud sound coming from the front of the car, it sounded sort of like if I was to put a plastic bus ticket into a fan...?? The car was nice but this sound was extremely off putting, I don't know much about cars but to me I believe its a turbo issue because how it occurs above the 2500rpm mark. Also under brakes while driving you could feel a shudder through the car? What does this indicate? Apart from that it was extremely clean. Was the usual small rust spots under the mirrors but none elsewhere. The under body was sweet and the body was immaculate. What are your thoughts? Cheers, chris
  6. Just found the exact same car for sale with 55,000 km's on it when here he stated it has 29k... Its been wound back. Some photos are even identical. same plates ect. here it is http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...amp;sort_type=2

  8. is tiptronic really worth it? like for a while yeah cool but after a while is it really necessary?
  9. Spotted again today a Silver Series 2 Stag, with gold rims exhaust and custom plates JSM here in SA @ a workshop on Magill road opposite Got-One. Looked like an excellent stagea example. Can anyone here put their name on it?
  10. Spotted white S2 Stagea on Sydenham road here in Adelaide near Norwood at about 1pm or so....... Very nice example, think it had been at the work shop around the corner as a mate saw a white s2 their the day before
  11. Sorry to thread hijack but once I go to that link, all off the text is just question marks (?) no actual writing I can see picutres but cant read any of the text. Anytips? Anyone lese getting this? thanks.
  12. Spotted a Silver S2 Stagea driven by a lady today on Lockwood road in Burnside here in Adelaide this morning on the way to school at about 8:10am... I was half asleep then realized i recognized the front end of a stage at the other side of the roundabout was wide awake after that.......... I love the look of the series 2's...
  13. Down here in Adelaide I barely ever see a stag on the roads. Today a mate and I went to Sinergy Motorsport to have a look at a few and on the way guess what we saw..... dam right a silver series 1 turning onto Kensington road. Cut everyone off from the right hand turning lane and went straight to catch up for a closer look. Stock as a rock but still very nice. Im sooo keen to get one now
  14. To cut a long story short; Im looking at getting a stagea next year some time, Im really into them just need to save up and work more (im in year 12).... Saw one last night on North East road here in Adelaide, I was drunk and apparently went nuts haha anyway it was white and it was about 11.10pm happy days!!!
  15. You say buyinterstate and thjen say you wont get anything descent for 15k here otherwise meaning in SA or in Aust (ill have to import) Cheers
  16. Not really fussed about seeing it in the flesh or driving it just some pics on the net would be ok.... but Ill go drive one at a car yard for sure even if I'm not interested just to see how they drive ... sure it will be a lot different and better to the commodore and Renault megane cabriolet I drive at the moment....
  17. Sounds like it will be an import to me.... unless their is a stag priced well here in sa or somewhere on the mainland... not TAS
  18. Would be more than keen to come look at Tangles and pixel8r's stages...... Now anyone have an answer about buying one interstate then registering it here in sa and what I would have to do so? Also same deal but If i imported it and complied in interstate... see above ^^ cheers
  19. not a problem that you haven't caused hay..... Wanna be home mechanic? or not... Im a bike mechanic and see it all the time so no offense if its not that! Very happy with buying an auto, can just sit back and chill out. Yes fitting bikes in the back is half the idea of buying a stag... can get my bike to races quicker and in more style. Another question: Would importing or buy one all ready here be the way to go for about 15k? And also I'm in SA if I purchase on from interstate what sort of things do I have to go through with registering it? eg. over the pits here in SA or not? Also if I get one imported through a business outside SA (thinking maybe import with J-Spec) and it gets complied in a different state whats the go their? Cheers in advance.
  20. Hi all. Slightly interested in importing a stagea sometime in the future. Just wondering how many K's yours have done and if they start to slowly fail over a certain distance? Would one that has done over 100,000 not worth touching? I would be looking at spending about $15,000 or so. Any help well appreciated, KiD
