  1. Across left strut I got my stag done... and Yes i paid the dude across from regency the $50 he was asking becuase I just wanted to get it over and done with same day as they were close to closing and Im not close to regency.... I could have done it at work as we have a punch set but I just wanted to put it in SA plates their and then...
  2. So anyone in adelaide got one their willing to let me see?
  3. Slightly dissapointed this guy hasnt owned up yet and Yes Ive seen him since then......
  4. I informed Cheffstagea of this... One of the guys I work with is a member of the HSV owners club and warned me of them as some of his mates with FPV's have been done. Their stock FPV's with 3 aerials across the back screen, cant see lights from behind or front. They are known to go around doing cherpies ect to fire people up... Just make sure once you realise its a coppa most importantly smoke them, then pull over
  5. Been seeing a white R33 parked on XXXXXXX avenue in Glynde very often.... guessing the driver works their? Next question is wondering if they are on SAU? edit: please don't identify parked cars by street name as it directs potential thieves to their exact location - suburb will do. Nightcrawler
  6. thanks to mcnamg I allready have Splitfires and a pretty fresh set of plugs....
  7. So the verdict.... Not really worth it at the moment? Agreed?
  8. Thanks for that chuckie, As i stated im not really after a power gain from the SAFC so dont really want to do a zhorst at the moment... Trying to see how much fuel id save ect....
  9. Hi All, Im trying to decide If its going to be worth buying a SAFC for the stagea. First up at the moemnt its stock except for a Electronic boost controller and a FMIC. These are all I plan to do for the moment, but I probably will install a more free flowing exhaust sometime in the future. The only real reason Im tempted to install a SAFC is to improve fuel economy slightly. Truth be known power gains are not really of any concern as stock it had enough power behind it, especially coming from my first car a Hyundai Sonata hahah! (Yes stag is my 2nd car ) So a few questions: How much will I be looking at to get the SAFC tuned? Will I gain much in fuel economy? Will A SAFC be ok or will I be better of with a SAFC2? (As i have Hi and Lo setting of boost) The reason I'm unsure about getting one is Im not sure how much fuel I will save and I would sort of like to be able to draw a line somewhere with how much money I throw at this car. Cheers, Chris
  10. Nice call hahaha.... Cheff and I both agree their is alot of room in the back of the stags.... I seem to think the majority of stag drivers have familys and are older than cheff and I 18.... So your missus is sort of out of the question, but your daughters.... We'll leave it their haha
  11. Yeah he told me that it feels as if its driving with the snow switch on even when its off.
  12. Hi. Im posting this up for Adam (cheffstagea) as he is currently at work and will be till late-as hes a cheff duh! So he was hoping to have some replies when he gets home. He says his sereis 2 stagea is having the following issues: It does not not drop gears when planted. It feels like its taking off in 2nd. A/T light flashes 15 times on startup. In tiptronic mode 1 and 2 still have the sluggish feel. Also feels like the clutch might be skipping. He also tells me that the fluids seem to be fine and Yes he's checked the attessa resivoir. Any one have anyideas? Thanks in advance.
  13. I was thinking of having low set lower than 7..... Does the gear effect the bost with stock soloinoid? ( I know that the rev range does) Yeah im aware that winding up boost is going make it run richer this reducing economy.... Ill just get a good tune with stock computer if possible (Or will i need a SAFC?)
  14. Update: Got the majority of the install done tonight.... EG. ran the vac line into the cabbin for the unit and the solinoi control wire also into the cabin, Hooked up the pressure feed of the fuel regulator and installed the Unit under my headunit in the pocket thats their (went single din headunit from double din stock).... I decided to hook up it all apart from the solonoid tonight to use it as a boost gauge for a day or two just to see whats going on currenty.... Went for a quick spin then and I think I got the peak boost at 4.5psi.... Couldnt really put the boot in reall hard thou as it was raining really hard (as you would know if you lived in adelaide).... As for new settings when I connect up the solonoid in the next few days what do you guys recomend I set my Low(grannyspec) and Hi boost pressures to? I was thinking either 4 or 5 psi for low and 10 for hi. Only mods are frount mount intercooler and this boost controller at the moment... will get a SAFC in the no to distant future..... Also just wondering with the stock solinoid (un grounded) does what gear the cars in also have something to do with how many psi it boosts? Cheers all, chris
  15. sorry mate, but i was getting minimal love from the guys in the forced induction area...
  16. Yeah im going to hook up the intercooler to the "ON" port and the wastegate to the "COM" port..... It just looks like im going to have one vacum line left over after removing the stock solinoid as their are more than 2 pipes with the stock solenoid
  17. which outlet?? Sorry Im not very well knowledgedwhen it comes to this sort of stuff... So far all ive done myself is timing belt and fmic install.. all gone well so far but ive done large amounts of researching for each...
  18. Just found this: Looks good but if from my above pictures it looks like I will have one vac line that will then go no where?? cheers, chris
  19. and the other vac lines for the controll valve come from.....? Just found this: Looks good but if from my above pictures it looks like I will have one vac line that will then go no where?? cheers, chris
  20. well my FMIC is in and the car loves it..... I ended up using a HDI cooler kit for a R33. The cooler's dimensions are as follows: 600x300x78 Piping wise I used the included kit which was for a r33. Used one of the stock pipes from the turbo then one of the pipes from the kit for passenger side. As for drivers side I cut a hole under the battery and used the remaining two pipes. In regards to the hole i cut I used an angle grinder and then treated the cut with a rust remover and protector from repco and put some fuel hose over the edges of the cut to protect from rust, protect piping and for a slighlty cleaner finish My front bar needed to be cut a lot to fit over the cooler and some of its piping. As for the reo bar I just cut a C section off the front for where the cooler was to be mounted. I kept the stock airbox, just attacked it with an anglegrinder slightly where the new piping was fouling on the scoop, and have sealed up the hole i cut with some thick silver insulation tape (if this doesnt hold up (is at the moment) I will have it fiberglassed instead.) I also had to trim the fan blades slightly and still think i might need to take another mm or 2 off them as SOMETIMES when I start up they lighlty hit the new intercooler piping. When I hear this i just pop the hood and give a push on the piping and we are all good again Washerbottle has been remounted as above, thanks for that tip As for changes in how it drives, It has ALOT more induction noise and feels more responsive. Im not sure if I will cut the front bumber out and move the number plate as I like how its semi stealth behind it plus i dont really want to attract heaps of attention. anyway time for pics: If anyone has questions fire the pms away and ill try to help as i asked more than my fair share of questions!
  21. Hi all, Currently in the procces of installing a Greddy Profec B spec 2 boost controller into the stagea Just after some help with what vacum lines go where with the new solinoid and if Im going to have to plug up any of the old ones? here is what the current stock set up is: Do i get the pressure feed for the actual unit itself from here ( I will install t piece in the vaccuum line that has the white line on it (fuel regulator correct??), the route one of the houses from the t-piece into the cabin to unit: Cheers, chris
  22. ok this is what is going on at the moment with my stock boost lines in the stagea: Intercooler piping nipple and stock solinoid in bottom right: Another angle: Do i get the pressure feed for the actual unit itself from here ( I will install t piece in the vaccuum line that has the white line on it (fuel regulator correct??), the route one of the houses from the t-piece into the cabin to unit: cheers, chris
  23. Hi All, Just wondering if someone could post up some pictures of the installation of a greddy profec b spec 2 onto a rb 25. Their is a DIY thread in How to's but the pictures do not work Also where would be the best spot to get the feed line into the cabin of a stagea? Cheers, chris
  24. Spotted Black R34 4 door P Plater on the parade about 10 minitues ago.... Undertook me pretty aggresively.... Stagea left him for dead off the lights no worries at all. Procceded to get looser's fly-by couple of hundred meters down the road, over took wrong side of road well over speed limit, with pretty close on coming car so cut infront of me and procceded to punch it spraying the front on my car with loose bits of shit from the road..... And we wonder why we have such a bad name......
