  1. BUMP due to sssrama being a time waster
  2. Will consider any reasonable offers!
  3. Oil pressure problem sorted. Denver and CruiseLiner were on the money. Thanks for the advice everybody!
  4. Brad thanks for the advice about pouring oil down remote oil filter pipe. It was the exact advice Greg from Proengines gave me. I’m going to try this method in the next few days. Cheers! Bl4cK32, yes I did pour oil in. Over 10L and it only registered as full on my dip stick. Denver, thanks for the advice champ. I will implement your methods as well as Brad’s methods and see if it helps my situation. Thanks for the in-depth advice! Ash, Cubes (sorry to be rude cubes, don’t know your name) I totally agree with you. I should get my engine builder to take a look at it. In fact I did give them a call on Monday and explained the situation. They offered to pay for the tow and have a look at it. But having had my motor (fully dismantled and in boxes out of the car) there waiting for my engine build for 9 months (2 months of which were not their fault) and having getting it back less some parts as well as loose parts from other peoples cars makes me very apprehensive about taking my car/motor back there. Believe me when I say this; I am genuinely sacred to take it back! Maybe I should have practiced what I preach in recent times, and “taken the car to Racepace”. As I said previously, if I can use everyone’s advice and get oil pressure that will be great but if I don’t I’ll resort to having my car towed to my engine builder. Thank you all for taking the time and giving me advice. I will take everything discussed into consideration on my next attempt.
  5. Thanks for that cubes, I appreciate the advice. I notified the engine builder on Monday. I want to use them as the last resort however I won’t go starting it unless I'm 100% sure. I think you might be on the money regarding the oil pump not being primed (I doubt that it has been). I will pour more oil in. Once again Cubes thanks for the info.
  6. Hi everyone, This weekend passed, Adam (WetGTR) and I proceeded to end weeks of waiting and start my freshly built motor (RB26). The motor was built by what some people call a reputable performance company (the name will be withheld for now). Before going the full hack and starting the motor Adam recommended that we get some oil circulating threw the engine to avoid any harm that may occur on initial start up. Removing the spark plugs we turned the key over for short 10 second spurts over a period of 45 minutes. Even after an hour no oil pressure registered on my oil pressure gauge. Due to the circumstance of not registering oil pressure Adam undertook some visible checks to see if oil was circulating to the head, oil filter and oil sender. Upon inspection no oil was noticed in the oil filter (not a spec), no oil was noticed circulating to the head and when the oil sender was removed no oil was coming out at the point (when motor was cranked). My question to the general public and particularly those of you whom have started a freshly built motor is: 1. Did you have the same problem as I am having with oil pressure? 2. How did you prime you engine? 3. Is it ok to just start the motor up skipping the initial prime up process? 4. Does anyone know (or have an idea) what the problem is? Some additional info: The pick up has been modified to fit to the bottom of enlarged sump. Sum/ pick up is not an issue unless the engine builder forgot to put the pick up on. (Also did a search on this forum and read Cruiseliners 2.7 thread no info there). I’m thanking everyone in advance and I appreciate any help that anyone may provide.
  7. Hey Zardos; If you need help with your piping send me a PM. I'll put you onto someone that can help.
  8. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...500/ppuser/1903 I got this of sydneykids pictures on the SAU gallery; It's not a HKS T04Z but it might help. Maybe PM sydneykid ffor more pics.
  9. The suspension is still available however you didn't give me your email address so instead I PM you. The manifolds are in good condition, no cracks or damage. About prices for shipping, I'm not too keen on sending any parts overseas as it is a hassle. PM me if you wish to discuss further.

    Not Happy

That's not what I meant. Have you dealt with them before INASNT?? You have no idea about the agro associated with getting major stuff done there. You made a post stating that it is a norm to have to wait months just because you choose to modify your car. A few months is ok but nearly a year? To prove my point I will give you an example. It took *** 7-11 months to do a engine rebuild for certain members of this forum. To do the same job it takes Racepace 7 weeks. When you try and chase these guys down to find out what they are doing all you get is lies and excuses. I can confidently say INASNT you have never been through something like this. It was only a matter of time that someone made a negative post about them.

You have no idea! There are more than a few people that have been stuffed around. There have been members from this forum that have waited nearly a year to get their cars back together, let alone running. You are talking about months; I think a year no matter how much work is way too much.
  12. I always read what you write, I even get a pen and take down notes sometimes. Well said Ash; always on the ball this one! You realize even if you run your car into the 10’s there are a few owners with cars on this forum that are much faster than yours. Just an observation!
  13. DUDE! an FA18 can easily take down a jumbo. They can be equipped with AMRAAM missiles; a few of these missiles can bring even the largest aircraft down.
  14. The GT-ZZ's are the replacement for the 2530 units. Late last year there was a thread on this forum regarding this turbo with pictures. It might pay to do a search as there was much discussion about these units.
  15. Yea, it was a really weird problem. One I still to this day I can't comprehend. It had something to do with the air flow oscillating back and forth and the AFM not getting an accurate reading. (Memory is a bit hazy) I switched to an airflow meterless management system as I was advised buy a few reputable performance workshops. Sorry I couldn't let you know more about my problem. Cheers
  16. MR331307, running AFM on most set ups is not rubbish. For a street application in most cases it is better. I’m guessing for most people their GTR’s are their primary transport. There is significant time the car is going to be off the road to set a system like the Motec or Autronic units properly so in most cases a plug and play unit with a base is perfect. Just because nearly everyone on this forum uses a particular ECU it does not mean it is the best. Most of Amberleys and Racepace’s GTR customers are not members of this forum. The GTR owners I met at Amberly that were running Motec’s have never heard of this forum nor do they want to be apart of this forum. From my observation the more lucrative owners of the GTR population do not frequent forums on the internet. It’s a shame! Because I think they are missing out on being apart of a pretty good community for one and secondly we will never hear how their Motec powered street GTR’s perform. Shame! Yea! Well I’m sure people with Motec and Autronic’s can talk till they are blue too. But even if we do, we will be cut down by people that want to profess their love for PFC’s. I’ll draw your attention to the Autronic thread that was on here a few months ago. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...553&hl=Autronic The topic clearly stated “Autronic Ecus, What are peoples opinions on them?” Instead of a thread about Autronic systems it became another PFC thread. This thread could have been a great way for people with Autronics to trade information and help each other out. But we didn’t get a chance. End of off topic rant. I had real issues running AFM on my street car hence why I ruled out using a PFC (DJetro had not come out at that time). Is that a fact?? Well said!!! Agree! PM sent to stay on topic. As I have said in many other threads the PFC has its place as a great upgrade for an ECU but it is not the be all and end all.
  17. Isn't that a more costly way of going about it??
  18. Yes it does! Around 35rwkw difference on a certain setup. Speak to Ben (RACEPACE) yourself if you don't believe this figure.
