  1. Thanks Merli, Don't get me wrong - the thing is a work of art ! When you look at all the angles etc - you can see that a lot of R&D went into this. I guess to get the most out of it, a bit of machining / hand luving with a dremel tool (in the right hands) would be beneficial ! I'll see if I can take some pics for reference while it is off the car !
  2. Hey Tex. I heard about your new project and would love to get her along to the show. Damn sexy beasts them ! Cheers,
  3. Hi Guys, I just received my Greddy/Trust RB25 plenum kit from Japan. I was sort of surprised to see how rough and daggy the inside of the plenum chamber and runners are. Understanding that the thing is cast aluminum , I thought the factory would have smoothed / ported / polished the chamber and runners ?? Did you guys who fitted these plenums do any extrusion honing, porting, polishing before you put them on ?? Or did you simply remove the cast dags an bolt it up ?? Cheers,
  4. Cerealkiller - Tinting the front is not legal. but hey so is 5% tint - but he does that too - Is that dark enough mmmgtir ??
  5. Duncan - that would be anti-stockness :P michaeljquinn - RB25DET std turbos have a ceramic exhaust wheel - not good for anything over 12PSI. Boost Controller - I can't fault the Turbosmart e-Boost (except that it looks ordinary) it does a great job !! Go for an EBC - not a bleedvalve. Post pics of your Stagea when you get some. I can't wait until we see some of these on the road !

  8. Awwww shite ! That's no good ! Unfortunately I sold my old turbo - it would have been a bolt on replacement too - bummer and I would have lent it too you so you could run on the day ! ! ! (after that you would have bought it ) Umm - have you looked in the For Sale section here ?? You might be able to pick up a second hand one. Replacing the turbo is not a hard job if you are handy - See if you can pick up a second hand one and fit it yourself - $500 max. for a good one. Mark - what happened to your old turbo ?? Bummer dude !

  14. I have two cars to get tinted in the very near future and was wondering if anyone else needed to get theirs done too ? I have a couple of good contacts who can do tinting (not SolarTint or any of those big expensive shops) If we got 5-8 cars together and went to one of these guys we might be able to get a bit of a discount happening. Post here if interested. If no interest in the next week or two, I'll just be going ahead with it.
  15. Boostd - was that you at UAS the other day - you came in and talked to John about your car etc ??? I think we met - but it didn't click until now ! I was the one fixing up their (UAS) internet connection (out of the goodness of my heart) (me = Fat ugly bastard that John kept asking questions and bragging about how good my car is now that they have rebuilt it he he he he) It's all makes sense now ! I think !

  20. Nice one ! You are some lucky dood to be able to get such a nice car for your first one. My first car was a 1972 Honda Civic ! Look after it man - Don't drive like a maniac on the street - save it for the track ! Post pics when you get it ! Congratulations ! PS - Come to some of the SAU events like the Advanced Driver Training, and learn to be a Skyline Driver and not just a Skyline Owner
  21. Check the ideas section - there is a problem with Avatars for some users but not others. Lots of testing done, but nothing conclusive just yet.
  22. Steve, I think Merli will be able to answer your question shortly !
  23. Oh Shit - that is the day before the Show & Shine - Oh well - busy weeked coming up - Will be up all night polishing the car on Sat. Night......
