  1. Those nascar challenges are stupidly easy with the wheel
  2. You know you are able to turn traction control off in the special events, makes the rallying a shitload easier... Speaking of traction control, is there any way to turn it off permanently. Its bloody annoying having to turn it off every time you select a new car
  3. I am very happy with my purchase of this game I dont understand why people are saying the clutch isnt supported properly on a g25 and that you have to press triangle to get it to work... From what I have noticed with the g25, the clutch is disabled until you simply press the clutch pedal... I also like the fact that it actually disables the clutch when you use a car that doesn't actually have a clutch pedal (dsg cars)
  4. It is a Nismo 2way mechanical, it has a 4.083 ratio (same as the original auto diff that was in the car). Bought it second hand in housing for $650 just over 2 years ago, have put over 30,000kms on it and it hasn't missed a beat
  5. I'm pretty sure I held it, I cant remember spinning on that corner at the last few days I have been to. That thing beside my car is most likely a tyre carcass... I haven't had any real damage done to my car while drifting, only a bit of paint missing off my front bar and rear bars from just scraping tyres/barriers... Oh and they dont like it when you do this
  6. I had a manual conversion done on my R34 about 18 months ago It cost me about $1500 using a standard NA R34 Box with very low k's and as many brand new parts as possible (Mate works at Repco so got the clutch, master/slave cylinders and a lot of other fiddly stuff at staff pricing) Labor cost me a couple of cartons of booze I have also kept the Auto ECU and haven't noticed any issues apart from the A/T light on the dash From what I have heard, a lot of people have trouble getting the speedo to work when using the R33 parts It is the best thing you can do to one of these cars, you will not regret it if you go ahead...
  7. Hardparking is simply another word used for posing... The N/A goes alright at drifting, it does need a bit of raping to get it going well. Linking corners isn't really a problem, but the car does run out of puff, especially on longer corners. Ive only ever drifted it at Qld Raceway, so I'm not sure how it would go on the smaller tracks. I dare say it would probably go pretty good on them
  8. Nice work, I agree with you about the not making as much smoke, but you still have the same amount of fun. Alot of people question me as to why I drift my N/A because its underpowered, but they are pleasantly surprised once I take them out for a lap because it has no trouble linking corners.
  9. Bendix Part numbers: Front DB 1308 (same as Mitsubishi Triton ute, Nissan Maxima A32, A33) Rear DB 1144 (same as Nissan Maxima)
  10. Do it A good predictable LSD is one of the best mods you can do to a car like yours, even if it is NA. Plenty of fun to be had. If price is your main issue you could probably get a 2nd hand one through an importer/wrecker, its not like they are an item that wears out quickly. If you are concerned about the safety aspect of driving with one on the street, I wouldn't worry. Up until a month ago I was my R34 was my daily driver and I never once had an incident while driving on the street, they are perfectly predictable and should react the same way every time, unlike an open lsd. If you are concerned about the police, I wouldn't worry too much. Sure a mechanical diff can chirp/clunk but with the right oil and throttle control you can drive almost anywhere and not make a noise. If they can't hear it, they wont know its there

  15. Hey all, Over the last few days I have noticed a massive vibration coming from the rear of the car. Today I was changing the wheels on my car and noticed a massive amount of (vertical) play when holding the wheel at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position I'm assuming that I have a rooted wheel bearing Does anyone know a part number and a good place to purchase them from? Cheers Shane
