  1. Find the shortest possible diff gears that you can
  2. I have done a Similar conversion to my R34, execpt I bought a whole written off R34. Took all the parts that I needed and sold off the parts that I didn't use as well as my old engine/box. I didnt really keep track of the exact costs, but my whole conversion wouldn't have owed more than $2500 (Including new clutch, Timing belt kit, Brakepads and rotors) I thought it was a much better option than selling up and buying a GTT as I already knew the condition of the car inside out.
  3. It all depends on the brakes that your car has from the factory. If it came with the larger brakes off the turbo model, the rear will have a fork mount for the coilover. - You will need R34 GTT coilovers If it has the small brakes, it will have an eye mount for the coilover - You will need R34 GT or R33 Gtst coilvers
  4. My skyline uses pretty much the same amount of fuel now that it is turbo than it did when it was NA, both on the road and track...
  5. As everyone has previously said, yes NA Skylines are slower than a wet week and will get dusted in a straight line by pretty much everything on the road. If i had to abide by P Platers rules I would buy a BA/BF XR6. Alot quicker in a straight line than an NA Skyline (R32-R34). They also give standard/Mildly modded gtst's a run for their money. They also handle pretty damn good too... However, I have owned an R34 25gt for over 5 years, I took it on many drift days and with the right modifications (2way Diff and coilovers) it was fine. It was no smoke machine but I was still able to link corners with no trouble. I eventually saw the light and did an engine conversion
  6. Leave exhaust standard Enjoy the lack of attention...
  7. The best fuel economy I got out of my R34 while it was NA was about 9.5L/100km The worst was about 40L/100km Now that the car is turbo my average fuel consumption has actually improved (when I'm not thashing the hell out of it )
  8. Turbo This is from the N/A days, there is something missing
  9. Since my Skyline no longer qualifies for this thread, here is my other NA
  10. When my R34 was non turbo I used to drift on either 215/45/17's or on 205/55/16's Now that its turbo, I just use whatever I can get my hands on...
  11. Coilovers, swaybars, decent tyres and an LSD is all you should do
  12. I run a stock exhaust to reduce the embarrassment of driving an n/a skyline
  13. Under-rated family cars are great There is nothing funnier than pulling away from a stockish turbo R32/R33/S14/S15/Soarer etc in my BF XR6, one of the most common family cars on the road
  14. I remember when I first got my R34 (auto) and thought it was the shit, I took it out to willowbank and was severely disappointed at how slow it actually was... It was well over half a second slower than my vn commodore... (both cars were standard)
  15. I got an email this morning from ozgameshop telling me my copy has been despatched, now we play the waiting game to whether it shows up or not...
  16. Cheers Must just be the angle of the photo, Camber is set at -0.5deg
  17. There is some rather outrageous claims in here
