  1. Saw 2 very nice'n clean white R32 GT-R's in Victor Harbor today around 3:30pm. One with the number plate BANNED and the other RBWARE.
  2. If it happens while the car is stationary and you just give it a quick rev, or just driving normally and then put the clutch in when you come to a stop, and only happens when the car is warm, then it sounds like the oxygen sensor. It would be a good idea to have a plumb-back BOV too. Less confusing for the AFM's.
  3. Yeah, I had a look at these two pics and they actually look quite similar.
  4. I think you're underestimating a bit there. If yours looks anything like this you might be able to pass it off as a new GT-R clicky
  5. All I know is from everything I've read on this forum. I'd say yes, you will need new injectors. 550's should do or 600's would be plenty. Perhaps Nismo, or Sard's would be cheaper. Have a look in the sticky threads on turbo upgrades. See what people are using appropriate to their power output.
  6. Nope. This one is different. Maroon instead of red, and on a completely different road.
  7. Some of these guys still think that a conventional manual is somehow so much stronger than some "semi-auto" and that with their superman skills could change gear just as fast as a DSG, if they were driving it! PPG are currently developing the stronger gearsets, so it's only a matter of time.
  8. I agree. But we don't have the P plate laws (ie. no turbo) in SA yet.
  9. He spent 11k buying that car (well, half of that; his parents paid half) and it's all gone. I'd be telling him he can cruise around in a 1980 corolla for the next 5 years.
  10. Errr, no. I never saw the rest of the car. I took these pics today, it happened 12 days ago and all I know is that the car has been crushed. Crazy actually, since he couldn't afford to insure it you think he would've at least tried to sell some parts from it.
  11. The remainders of the s14 This guy is 17yo and was driving his first car, a series 1 s14 turbo, which he had only had for 2 months before he decided to go for a burn up Greenhills rd near Victor Harbor. A road with which he was unfamiliar, and at a "bit" over the 80k limit he came over a crest towards a T junction (which is signposted) and was confronted with a big tree. The skidmarks are around 30-40 metres long. He hit the tree head on. It was a write off, but he was fortunate not to be seriously injured. Basically it came down to him trying to be a hero but with inexperience.
  12. Price drop: $28,000 Now registered until April 09 Also some new pics
  13. +1 About 8 years ago I had an RX-4 coupe. NA 13B and made only 105rwkw but it was a blast. And the buzz!! It blew after 3 months because it had a cheap rebuild done on it (I didn't check the receipts properly) and then got a series 4 import engine put in which probably had about 100k on it. Survived another 50,000 being thrashed! Probably cost less than a GT-R to maintain, although it was quite a headache at times, but boy it was fun. I still have dreams about it!
  14. Make: Nissan Model: R33 GT-R Milage: 104,000 Transmission: Manual Colour: Silver Location: Victor Harbor, SA Complied? Yes RWC supplied? N/A Currently registered? BP ultimate 98 used always Motul 8100 Xcess oil and filter changed every 5000ks *100,000k service has not been done, however a genuine Nissan timing belt is included with sale. NOTE: NOT A V-SPEC
  15. Since a VR38DETT would be almost impossible to get hold of, I would take a VQ35, forged stroker kit to 3.8 litres, and twin HKS 3040's for 1000hp. Almost stock exterior apart from Nismo LMGT4's. Perhaps N1 bonnet lip. TEIN superstreets with EDFC and a switch operating valves in the exhaust to change between quiet/free flowing, to work in conjunction with lo/hi boost.
  16. I refer to the cover of the latest Wheels magazine: "375kw HSV: Australia's first supercar"............. BAHH...HAHAHAHAHA
  17. Nah, my knees are pretty straight, just a comfortable bend. And I'm nearly 6 foot. But the footplate slides forward and back too.
  18. It's been a while, but I finally got around to painting it. And the obligitory nismo sticker of course! Next step will be a racing seat.
  19. With the stock turbos you should be able to make about 240rwkw without blowing the ceramic turbine wheels to bits. Or go for some GT/SS's and provided you have computer/injectors/fuel pump you could be looking at 300-320rwkw on a reasonably safe 1.2bar.
  20. Nankang Ultrasport NSII. I've got em and they're great. Probably one of the best in a price/performance ratio. As said 235/45 would be more common and cheaper/easier to get.
  21. Just took a few measurements while I was in the seated position I wanted, drew a few diagrams (yr8 tech studies came in handy for something) and did a few calcultions. Just in case it helps you to get started, the dimensions of mine are: length 1305mm, main frame width 575mm, main swingarm length 655mm, seat height from floor 250mm.
  22. Bling wheels, incorrectly offset wheels, and a GTR wing on a non GTR.
  23. Don't use Redline lightweight shockproof if you don't have any problems with the gearbox, ie. crunching synchros. If the box feels fine use another Redline oil or maybe a motul. Shockproof isn't actually designed for synchro gearboxes, however many have raved about it's improvement for problem boxes. Read this For the clutch you will need a clutch/brake fluid.
