Had a loose belt due to lack of driving, so in my usual overkill style I did all of em including timing belt today 11/04/2007 with only 49500k's...timing belt wasn't needed but hey I was there.
Its an awesome car mate don't get me wrong, but the delemas in getting it sorted in qld. As well as that, the reason I am getting rid of the 34 (other than needing the money) is that it is gathering dust basically. Your car would have me constantly polishing it and me beeing scared to change an oilfilter worried I'd scratch it. If I had a few more bucks and a decent shed...it would be in there, but my life doesn't allow that at the moment.
I spoke to Jim berry and he does go for the single, but at $1800 with flywheel I believe I could get a nengun nismo twin in...unless I can find a better value single which sounds like it needs a flywheel anyway, I might just have to keep saving.
hmmm, theres a few around here runnin up to 100 water and oil. I don't know what to tell them, maybe dodgy guages. But theres actually 2 cars doin it, one with after market guages also, but water original guage doesn't move past half
So you have to change the flywheel when you even get a single plate if the flywheel needs machining at all? And does that mean that a 33 GTR twin which comes with its own flywheel is ok?
I was tempted to get a second hand one reconned but I think there are differences between the 33 and 34 GTR ie Getrag. So I may have to buy new for re-assurance.
Anyone know of some good affordable ones? twin plates from Nengun are about $1800 and single about $1000...anyone got better?
