  1. Sorry but theres just no excuse for that.Worse case scenario if he stripped the thread..at least let the customer know about it.or lost the sump plug..order a replacement...thats just seriously botched up...IF you make a mistake the first time then fix it and get it right the 2nd time,....no excuse for this
  2. Blacktown eh ? I will keep an eye out in that area as it is close to where I live..Bankstown would be a better bet..If it was an HSV Commodore I would say Blacktown for sure...I keep all eyes out for this car...I got a strange feeling you will get it back..lets hope so
  3. Just out of curiosity roughly how much weight would come out of the car from only removing HICAS and its related pumps etc ?
  4. Heres one that may surprise you....At Burwood too...just a few years ago several of their security got arrested for armed hold up of the shops in their proximity.Apparently the guys ran away from the scene still wearing the pants with the company logo on the back pocket. I know for a fact at least one of them got jail time.i know a few of the others lost their security licence and their job over it. True story....I knew some of these clowns....really surprised me
  5. Well I did know a couple of the Miranda Security guys...But they seemed to be pretty honest normal kind of guys. These carparks attract massive amounts of car theives. We even had a honda CRV spare wheel theif at the centre I was working for a while....But we caught him red handed. For those that dont know Honda CRV comes with the spare on the outside and the spare itself is one of the alloy wheels. So this dude would come in and steal one .When he had a set of 4 he would sell them as a set As they were the spare they were seldom used so they were always in immaculate condition. He would get top dollar for them. I think to purchase new they are a fortune. Some of the Centres do have security roaming the carparks...Its just that some are better than others...But I will keep an eye out for this car...
  6. Hey a fellow Dinamo supporter....Fantastic..I thought I was the only one
  7. They are only interested in covering their asses. Not preventing theft. They always have most of their cameras in the food courts. Why you ask ? They are looking for video evidence to avoid paying a claim on slips and falls injuries.Generally they try and pin it on one of the food shops in the centre. They will try anything.Next time you go to a Westfield just look around the ceilings for the obvious cameras and they also use those dark ball shaped ones..These are remote control. And damn they are good too. I wont name the centre however one of the ones I worked in I was able to use one of the remote cameras on the rooftop carpark. This thing on full zoom was able to shoot right across the whole carpark and I was able to read the number plate of a car 2 blocks away from the centre. They tend to also focus their cameras on escalators and travelators as well as these are the places where people take a dive and go for compo.I used to fill in their incident report forms..i know what they try.i have even had to take a picture of a womans slightly worn stiletto so that they can use it as evidence against her. Had to put it on the report for their solicitors to be a " Contributing factor " for the incident....
  8. howabout crank angle sensor ?
  9. So how in the blue hell did you afford to pay cash for all these toys ? i mean your cars combined value is probably half the value of my house ...I am assuming your not a check out girl at Woolworths right ? ( joke )....What on earth do you do for a job ? I wanna make that sorta coin as well..
  10. Mate seriously I would be getting consumer affairs in on this one.If the bastards are prepared to do half ass workmanship like that then God help whatever else they did on the car...Sounds like they totally Assraped your Skyline
  11. 490 hp...Yes for back then I would think it would have made something in that vicinity...big Shame they werent making the 580 back then...Would have made Group A a whole lot more exciting...Shame they dont bring back Something like Group A as all the Manufacturers from then now have some seriously fast machines..BMW M3 V8, 6ltr HSV, FPV TYPHOON ,Nissan GTR ,MAZDA MPS etc..
  12. Mate sorry to say this but Westfields couldnt give a Rats ass....I used to work as Security for Westfields at other locations than Miranda for just on 5 yrs. They know it happens, Public never really find out just how many vehicle ( And Violence may I also add ) thefts and Vandalism occur in their centres. After I finally resigned from them I had my own car broken into and stereo,Boost controller + turbo timer stolen. Now I tried this path and even had a Solicitor follow this up..As I had my car parked right opposite the lift entrance...so close to the lift doors you could even touch the car..Nothing..!! No video evidence at all...So I passed on this information to my Solicitor..My case was looking good too..All of the entrances to the Carparks had warnings that Westfields denies all responsibilty for damages incurred etc etc..As I was working in one of the dept stores at the time I had to park in the staff parking area.Which sucked...Easiest place to steal a car as well...What was in my favour however was the fact that of all these disclaimer signs they have, the one speed ramp as they call it that gets to the staff carpark the quickest didnt have any of these signs..And I had Photo evidence.I walked up the Ramp with my camera in hand taking Photos of the no signs...This was my big chance to get them. When I passed this on to my Solicitor however..Westfield used the Pissweak excuse that I used to be Security for them for years and I sould have known of the Disclaimer signs...So long story short..I lost that one, And I couldnt afford to fight them any more..They used some of the Best Solicitors ..Cost is No object...So Today My whole Family Boycotts Westfields...I wish other people would also..Get rid of the Monopoly of the retail industry.
  13. I never knew the Supra made those sort of numbers...And to be honest I am sort of sceptical.I used to sit and watch every ATCC as well as Bathurst and Sandown. The Supras were nowhere near competitive. It was slower than even the Commodores by a long shot. The Best VL Commodores were HRT making 520 hp @ 8000 rpm...in a car that weighed 1300 kg ( approx )..Yet I think 3 Commodores qualified in the top 10 pole shootout ( 2 HRT cars and Larry Perkins I believe )..But no Supra..If it was making the sort of power quoted it should have been quicker than they were.
  14. Yes I realise this....I have tried a few times to try and sway the masses back however it just aint workin...Everybody is all wrapped up in bagging Supras...When that was never the case.
  15. Well to give the skyline dude some hope...1:15 around wakefield is not really difficult to achieve in a R33 GTST..Most of the track days I been to times ranged from 1:13's to 1:18's depending on driver skill and set up.These times were with very mild set up GTST's also...So I really think the guy who started the thread certainly has a decent chance of shutting his mate up
  16. A WRX ??? Have You got a rock in your ass or something ? a wrx over a TT Supra ....Obviously you have never had your ass handed to you good and proper by a GTST or Supra yet.Handles...? Great if you like terminal understeer..looks better ? Yeah right they didnt name it bug eyes for no reason did they...Fugly car if ever I seen one...Yeah enjoy your boxer rumble..as any Supra will give you a headstart and go past you in wheelspin
  17. i never knew that it was possible to do that legally..Does the car run the turbo ecu ? If so how does it run ?..IF its 100% legal as you say then well done !!! simple job to swap it all back over once your P's are gone
  18. GTR-32U

    Your Opinion?

Dont know about the 30 cents part..But make them earn their keep.Fix our roads, build new dams...Slavery type of thing is a better idea...repay society for the damage they have done
  19. Great opportunity to install a GTRS....Much better than the old junk
  20. Whats the old saying " Be suspicious of those who are suspicious of you " be careful
  21. Ha Gold ---- I love it ! but heres what to do to REALLY piss her off. Start giving her the cold shoulder and then make a big move on her Best Friend/ Sister or Mother even....That should make her pissed beyond description
  22. Ok with your future circumstances coming up then I would recommend the XR6 Turbo then. Sure its the same price range as the GTR however the XR6 is a newer fresher car.GTRs are getting old and maintenance is critical. If it hasnt already had an engine rebuild chances are it will need one soon.Thats when the big dollars start flying !!! As much of a GTR fanatic as I am, I would only recommend buying one if its a GTR or nothing type of affair. Many cars can be made to go like a rocket not just GTRs...hope that helps
  23. My best mates are Auto electricians.Any dash can be wound back. The old type apparently the number rollers are spread a little and spun back. The Electronic type need to be hooked up to a laptop with the appropriate software...What area are you in ?
  24. dont know where you are getting your info from but XR6 turbos run 14s.My old GTS4 has had many a doorhandle to doorhandle run with them. They are nothing superfast.A stock GTR should beat one.But it all depends on what you want the car for.A GTR would be pretty useless at towing a boat or comfortably seating 5 on a trip.
  25. I dont really think this is a toyota vs Nissan thing...The guy seems to have a boofhead mate whos out to make a bigshot of himself by trying to humble his skyline.I just think its a matter of letting him get his Supra and then flog his ass on a racetrack.Nobody ever doubted the power potential of the Toyotas. Just because a car is faster doesnt mean it will lap quicker..I have a mate who is big into the Hondas..And have attended many a track day with him down at Wakefield with the Honda club..Many Type R's and Civics and also One guy showed up with an NSX..Now I was expecting the NSX to own all these cars....Nope he was by far the slowest guy on the track. Those Type R's cut some seriously fast times around Wakefield.( Quickest ran in the 1:10's !! )..Its all about driver knowledge of track and limits of the car itself....So to the dude who started this topic..You know what needs to be done and do it well
