wat engine is is required for a r33 skyline?? like is there a universal type avail. from a local repco etc..??? becoz my mate temp. sensor went..he went to repco and got a universal type that fitted.. but wat about voltage requirements/temp requirements etc????

is it just a custom job exhaust? or is it actually a brand design exhaust? maybe check the rubber linkage that hold the exhaust in-place.. happen'd to my old car..one fell-out and i was movin all-around..lol but didnt drop low at all from wat i can remba.... also mayb take a photo???

k, defiantly found the problem... THE PROBLEM!!!!!! the guys who fitted my alarm did some re-wiring coz of the features of alarms these days..etc.. well on the driver door switch..theres 3 wires...anyway i never took the panel behind it off before.. anyway..i had a look and found that they soldered two extra wires which go the back of the car..dont no wer too? possible the rear ilt/shock sensors??? and way i tampered wit it and taped it up better..and now it seem's all good..for now..lol so it was the extra new wires connected to the drivers door switch... i have no idea wat that switch in the boot lid does..lol HOW I NOTICED THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!! and i only really spent time on it today..coz of last nit.. my alarm went off like 4 or more random times...by itself..there was heavy rain and strong winds..but who knows..anyway then.. today at work i saw my car..just go off...for no apparent reason..lol wen it wasn't raining or any type of wind... and dis-arm itself and did it like 4 times in a row..and all random times...etc.. and so to stop it i hand dis-arm my alarm..and my car was unlocked for the whole day.. anyway i got into my unlocked car after work and realized for the first time in like 4months when my key was in the ignition..that the door light WASN'T on..lol then i drove for like 10mins on my way home and noticed the light had re-appeared!!!!!!! anyway..i opened my door at the lights and re-closed heavily with anger..lol then i notice it disappeared again..wat the??? then again like 5mins after..like going around a round-about... i saw it re-appear once again... closed my door heavily once again..and it was gone.. so i def. knew it was my drivers door switch/ or the wiring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it was all that time..the wiring was loose...lol and getting knocked around in the "b pillar" panel and the interior trim... so that wat was setting my alarm off and on..the wiring earthing or re-connecting a live circuit... and hence my alarm thinking someone opened the damn door!!!!!!!!...lol i tht i was in need a of a new battery..but my battery was pretty new..so yeah this all came to me today... PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!! So if anyone get or has a similar problem like i have had.... i hope this helps!!!

ok oh...cheers... coz im going on holiday for just ova week... and the last time i wen on holiday for about that length.. she was sound a sleep.. so i had give a rac a buzz...lol..to jump me.. coz i couldnt find my old leads...cant rember wat Wattage they wer though... but is ok now..got some 400W jumper leads never jump-starter here b4, thats y i asked.... but should be thick enough to get juice to my baby.. thanks again

wat amp rating does the jumper leads need to be to jump start a skyline?? 100amps wont be enough.... so wat recommend leads are require to get juice to the dead battery???

yeah, these are the shocks.. does anyone else have these??? coz im curious on wat setting u have for these shocks, they seem really hard type of bounce on all settings... cant get it right...lol from 1 to 8..so yeah and how do u adjust the front shocks??? the pic of the shocks are below.... shocks pic shocks

Hey, im wondering wat shock i have on my '97 R33... i believe there coilovers put arnt sure wat type they are... as i havent takin a picture just yet, i'll just describe as best as possible... well the height of the car is lower than the stock height.. its doesnt have camber tops.. its not height adjustable springs.. the colour of all shocks are a metalllic purple.. the colour of the springs look black.. they have a white "KYB" logo printed on the shocks.. and i have adjustable dampers on the front and rear shocks... the rear shock have a dial on the inside which goes from 1 to 8.. while the front have a dial on the top of the shock inside the engine-bay adjustable from 1 to 4.. thats about it..i believe their simliar to the AGX KYB line...but i tht those shocks/coilovers wer orange...? i'll take a picture wen i get a chance.. but for now has anybody got an idea?? oh yeah.. plus i have no idea on how to adjust the damper(shocks) on the front..lol so any with these?please tell how... thanks

yeah, im getting a nismo replacement for my r33 GTST, but yeah... in the nismo catalouge it does say throw is reduce from standard from about 20 or 30%... cant rember wat though. lol and its says a bunch for other crap..like how its reinforced etc... i found one on ebay performance store for $250... anybody no a cheaper place to get one?? but thats a pretty good price i reckon

anyone used redline engine oil before?? pretty exp. stuff..lol so wat would be the life/k's out of redline oil then? and u guys reckon that a filter doesnt start doind its job till 4,500k's???? how can this b???

sorry another noob question...lol will using these 55W xenon halogen globes be brighter or have better lighting than my current 100W halogen globes?? or not??

its a general skyline problem.. u'll get use to it..lol but below are just some fix..... try cleaning ur iacv..using some good carby cleaner/throttle body cleaner..... that made alot of difference on most people skylines... and also try cleaning ur afm out..using a good electrical cleaner.... other than that theres not much else you can do... check ur spark-plugs...make sure there regapped to 0.8mm... make sure u dont have any vac. leaks... and have u got the standard blow-off valve?? atmo bov causes idle issues... and last but not least get a tune... hope this helps

i was loking in the a hellla book at work.. for new lightglobes for my r33 s2... anyway, i found Xenon H1 HALOGEN 12V/55W globes.. which are a direct fit into a halogen socket..!!!!!!!!!!!! so in other words are standards globes but are using xenon tech???? is this correct??? they cost about 30 bucks each.. compared to the 6 bucks each for standard H1 halogen globes... wat the deal with these globes?? any brighter/clearer????????? will they be any good as HID???

well its on the outside off the plastic... so opening the headlamp will ONLY damage ur headlamp seal..or evan possible ur head lamp!! so dont do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the yellow stuff, can be removed by using a good spray-on type wax..or other good wax products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe evan clr?? mit try it one day....lol well anyway, i used this wax on my r33 s2... my yellow crap is gone... some guy was promoting at the petrol station..lol and when i saw the difference i was stuned!!!!!!!! becoz i does WORKS!! and makes em look brand new!!! i'll probl. do a write-up on it.....

its weird..my sound is GONE!!!!!!!!!! ????? lol i just did 102k's on my clock.. and my new gen. nissan was replaced at 99k's so it must expand after a while...........or somethin along those lines....

yeah, i got recommend pfc or ems... but there's still nis-tune and e-manage too... but nis-tune is out of the questions..coz they dont do em in perth yet so im puzzled..but e-manage is the cheaper option out of all...

mines bein playing up for awhile now too.. mine unlocks and locks every time thou.. but make's a pretty load buzzing/click sound wen unlocking/locking... my friend told me to take the door trim of and look just above the door actuator.. there u'll c two bars from the electronic actuator that go to the main bar/rod.. but one bar is connected by a little screw..and next to that is another 2 screws.. all screw are the same size.. he said to adjust the the single screw side..and either move the bar up or down..and adjust till the sound was gone.. he said it solved his problem..of the central locking click/buzzing sound... though it did not work for me has anyone else fixed this problem before??????????????

sorry guys didnt mean to affend you's... dont get me wrong.. i was gone get an e-manage ultimate piggyback unit.. but here in perth, there's not alot of tuners..and everyone knows how to tune a power fc... but the only thing is that their getting a bit old.. so i tht e-manage was the better option...maybe has more and better options etc.. well that wat i tht, plus it alot cheaper!!!! but yeah.. so i ended wanting to just get a remap using nis-tune... but found out that tuners in perth cant do rb25det yet... like i was gona get a rb20det ecu and remap that..but yeah..still no go... oh by the way..do u still have idle issues or any other issues wit ur rb25det now Dave??????? sorry if the question above is off topic...

yeah, most rb25det boost cut is around 14psi.. the stock ecu was designed to stop people from boosting to high.. so they put in a boost cut...and becoz the stock turbo can only take so much pressure..esp. the wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!! mine felt like i was going really fast..then wen i hit 14.7psi..it felt like i drove into wall and it was like if i was pushing it forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...lol so like ur only using 70% of ur power but it feels lik u can go way faster!!!! i think every car would feel some sort of cut etc.. but depending on modifications done to ur car aswel.. and its not a fuel cut, as mentioned above.. and a air/fuel controller wont fix it... i know coz i got an apexi neo afc.. and im 100% max on the stock afm..depend on how much fuel enter my engine...and i only got 250rwhp.. the only thing you can do is get an new afm and a new ecu!!!!!!! but doesnt mean ur stock turbo can take it lol but u aint got a stock turbo do ya???

bought a hicas lock bar..should get it on friday.. and i'll put in on the weekend.. and c how she goes... did anybody on a 33 notice difference wen sliding out? is it better/worse? etc.. thanks
