Will This Idea Work?

Its all well and good saying you will drive like a civilised person and not cause any trouble etc but its a lot harder in practice. Not to mention driving carefully won't stop cops pulling you over, this happens to most people with skylines and is bound to happen at least once while you're on your P's. I was sitting at the lights and cops pulled up next to me, lights go green and their lights go on and they ask me to pull over for a random license check... And no matter how careful you are nothing stops somebody else from being a retard and hitting you. What if they don't have insurance? Or their doing exactly the same thing as you and their insurance is void aswell. Its your choice but I wouldn't want to put my car at that kind of risk. Its not worth the extra 2 or 3 years of driving it... Just throwing it out there for the sake of it because I don't know what kind of situation your in but are you sure you can afford the running costs of a GTR. Its one thing being able to afford to buy one but the actual maintenance of a GTR can get pretty exxy especially if you find yourself needing a rebuild. -

So register it as a Skyline Coupe n then insure it under someone elses details as a GTR? The more you try to hide the fact that its a GTR the harder they'll hit you when you get found out. Its a stupid idea really lol -
AAC Valve? When I first got my car the idle was hunting around a bit and sometimes stalled when pulling up to lights etc. Searched around here and someone suggested cleaning the AAC valve, after I cleaned it problem gone. I think theres a guide in the DIY section if you're not sure how to do it but could be worth a try.

New 1120hp Supercar Aiming For World Record
Beelzebub89 replied to craig V8 taffe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Looks good but I still don't think any of these cars that beat the Veyron for top speed will ever be as drivable as one. Not that I've driven one but they just seem to be a very easy car to drive. The Ultima GTR would rattle your teeth out whereas the Veyron just looks comfortable at those speeds. Still its an awesome achievement -
What To Do While Sitting In Trafic....
Beelzebub89 replied to Line 3's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've found I go through a few things. 1. Just got into the traffic so I start to stress about being late and the road rage comes on. Start cursing the world and all the retard drivers in it. 2. Call random mates to rant about traffic/road rage 3. CD Gets switched to something heavier and I proceed to rock out in my car. Air Guitar FTW.l Normally the traffic will start to move after that lol -

Cops will just check the plates and it will come back saying it is an R32 GTR and after that your pretty much f**ked. As for insurance I wouldn't bother trying to fool them after an accident. All it takes is one slip of the tongue while talking to the insurance etc and your out of a car and you'll have to pay all the damages yourself or just continue to pay off a loan on a damaged car that you can't drive. At the end of the day there is too much heartache involved if something goes wrong. Grab the 32 and put the RB25DE in it and enjoy it for a couple of years before moving up to a GTR. -
Looks like an awesome day so disappointed I couldn't come Will definetly be there next time.

What Are You Buying Your Car For Xmas?
Beelzebub89 replied to Duncan1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
My Skyline is terribly lonely sitting in the shed with only a Barina and a Lancer for company. So if it promises to be nice and not break anything and possibly use less fuel I'm going to buy it a new friend Namely an R32 GTR, should be a step up from the Barina lol! -
Yer I agree with the general consensus. If you want a turbo R34 the logical thing to do would be to sell the GT n buy a GT-T and if you really have your heart set on an RB26 then buy a 34 GTR. The costs in parts, labour and custom fabrication would far outway the cost of buying a GTR which you can pick up a decent one for $55k. Once your finished modding your GT all you'll have is a poor attempt at a GTR. With the money you save from buying a GTR you could mod it up to be a really nice streeter which has all the looks and presence the the GT wouldn't have no matter how much money you spend on it. Thats my 2c and probably everyone elses aswell. If your really set on doing this the be prepared for a long road because I doubt everything will work out fine the first time round. Coxy

Revealed: Third-gen Prius
Beelzebub89 replied to craig V8 taffe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I lol'ed reading the comments to that article Can't believe people actually want to buy these cars -
Just go and have a look at it. Talk to the owner, see if hes got all the receipts etc and get a mechanic to inspect. At the end of the day the worst that can happen is its a lemon and you end up buying a stock gtr. Or you get a nice deal on a V Spec II. Really there isn't a whole lot of difference from the V Specs and the non v specs. I think you get upgraded brakes n steel wheeled turbos? and a few other goodies. No point in sitting there wondering just go and have a look.

Weds Tc105n's 18" X 10.5" +12 On 33 Gtr

That's pure sex. Absolutely love em. -
I don't think 19s look too big on 34s but it also depends on the offset n stance of the car. I've got a set of 19s on my 33 and I'm happy with how they look. I would love to be able to put a set of TE37s or GT-Cs on my car but at the end of the day I can't afford to spend that kind of money on them. I don't see how performance is affected by having 19s. Your not likely to be going fast enough to test the grip of your tyres on the road and the main contributor to performance is the tyre not the wheel. I bought a decent set of tyres for mine end up costing me $350 a corner but they haven't faltered yet. I love seeing all my mates who've spent 3 or 4 grand on a set of 'race wheels' only to go and throw a set of nankangs on them. At then end of the day whether its a blingy wheel or race spec its still all about the wank factor. Anyone who says otherwise is in denial.

agree with that. But clarkson, may n hammond aren't incredible drivers but they are great journalists. Clarkson has been writing car reviews for 20+ years. It has taken a long time for top gear uk to get to where it is so we can't expect top gear australia to be perfect straight away but I can't see any excuses for it being this bad..
-
lol the porsche thing is classic. They had one of their engineers go out and try to get a decent time. While nissan use an actual racing driver and they wonder why they can't get near the time? I still can't wait for these 8 episodes to be over so I can go back to watching the Uk top gear. Clarkson, May and Hammond make top gear what it is.
-
They were going "paddock bashing" though isn't that the general idea of it. Get out into a paddock n destroy the cars? Its not like they were doing it on public roads. To be fair to them Clarkson has done a tonne of things much much worse than that. If anyone who watched that show suddenly thinks its acceptable to go and start running into eachother on the road then they shouldn't be allowed near a car. Anybody with half a brain can see that its not a responsible or acceptable way to drive but thats TV. TV does not affect your actions YOU do.
