  4. mine went haywire when my alternator started to go same symptoms as your's make sure you are getting at least 13.8v with the car running. hope this helps
  5. I know a lot of people have water/oil line woes when they upgrade turbos- including myself. So, instead of sourcing new lines, is it possible to just get the right banjo bolt and drill out the inlet on the line so it fits? Has anyone had any experience doing this? Did it work? Just weighing up my options before I go out and pay enzed to do the lines. Speaking of enzed, how much is it to get new lines made up?
  6. Hi nerds, I have an Rb25 turbo to put onto my rb20 but the f**kin waterlines don't fit (24mm rb25 banjos). Hoping that someone can help me out with both waterlines from an rb25 or late rb20 turbo (89 onwards). Also chasing some new wheels, 16 or 17inch meshies around r32 GTR offset with dish. My center vent plastic surround on my r32 just shattered into a million pieces, so if anyone has one of these that I can buy that would be great too. That's all I need and I am happy!   7. Hey guys, Recently bought a rb25 turbo and it has some markings scratched into the ceramic turbine wheel. The marking reads "TA204" and something else starting with "A" on the other side of the wheel (can't see all the writing). I have attached a pic of the turbine below. Has anyone else seen this before or know what it could mean? Pretty sure the turbo is not high flowed cos I measured the two openings and they were ~56mm compressor and ~44mm turbine side, as well as the turbine wheel being ceramic. I'm about to get CEF11E remap and wanted to make sure it's just a normal rb25 turbo. Would like your insight. Thanks. Rod
  8. Most of us are familiar with how much a pain in the ass it is to get to the engine block drain plug. Is there any other way of draining and flushing the engine block without taking off the exhaust manifold? I have a new radiator coming, but don't want to install it only to get grubby rusty shit from the engine blocking it up. Perhaps removing the thermostat? Can anyone tell me how to do it cos removing that seems like a mission as well. Suggestions please.
  9. i had the same problem with running on 5 and rough idles after replacing my spark plugs. turns out my coilpack harness/plug thing was all cracked up inside and wasn't lining up with the coilpack properly. worth checking.
  10. Not heaps noticeable. Got a panel filter with stock box, so the car is pretty quiet. If it's pinging, is there anything else I can do to stop it? Read that some EBC solenoids will make a ticking noise, but would it consistently do it at 6psi? Might try returning back to stock boost soon and see if it fixes it.

  12. Hey folks Just recently started noticing a ticking sound around 5-6psi that seems to be coming from the engine/turbo. Only happens on boost and used to be intermittent but now i am starting to notice it a lot more (maybe cos now I am listening for it all the time). From suggestions in other threads I have: Changed plugs - NGK bkr6es w/ 0.8mm gap Changed fuel filter Turned down boost Cleaned AFM But still happens. Car is an rb20 w/: front mount x-force turbo back hybrid ebc everything else is stock I have heard engine knock before, and I'm pretty sure it's not knocking cos the sound I am getting is not so gnarly. It's more like the wheel of fortune wheel sound as it gets spun. I know it's pretty hard to diagnose a problem without seeing the car, so I'm more looking for recommendations on what it could be and what else I can try to fix it. Already taken it to a few mech's and they don't really seem to know or want to help. Help. Thanks.

  14. So Theo, did the RB25 fit? I am curious cos the alternator on my RB20 is on it's way out, HICAS/powersteering is screwing up and annoying as fck.
