  4. Ok, well, ive fixed the problem.. i had the wire connected to the wrong wire on the ecu.. stoopid m.. but it seems to work fine now!

  6. How do you change the fuel filter? very dumb question now.. i plan on changing mine tomorrow.. trying to fault find the ersctic idle it has.. just sits there like its only idleing on 4 cylinders... an stalls willy nilly etc..

  8. Yes, it is the same. But, the ground wire is taken from the air flow ground which is next to the air flow siganl on the left and the power is the same, but if you physically look at the harness on the computer, were pin 7 is, there is no wire... ? so i have assumed the next wire up is the correct rpm wire?
  9. yes, and both say its pin 7, but, there is no physical wire in the pin seven slot?
  10. How can i check the rpm signal from the ecu? Is there a way of checking?
  11. Yeah, the car came with the afc, and i have just bought the safc. I just want to know if the lighting setup that i have is normal or not? any body have any ideas?
  12. Gday guys. I have just installed a later version afc on my car. the safc with the5 tuning knobs. My question is, when the car is running, should aby of the knobs illuminate red? On mine, the 2500 and the 4000 rpm knobs illuminate red constantly while the car is running. How can i check if the afc is not buggered? When i move the two knobs, to say negative 30%, the car stalls, so im assuming its working. Do anybodys have any ideas with this issue? Also, just for a check, what colour is the rev wire? is it green it think? It should be pin 7 i believe, but physically it is pin 6 on my ecu. It is the rb20 ecu aswell. thanks.
  13. Yeah thanks buddy, but my bar is 50 smakos more, so i cant see why i should pay the same price just for the lip. Is there anyone here in oz with one? It doesnt matter if it has damage, as i will be doing slight modifications to it anyway. thanks

  17. Hello, people. I have done a search, but to no avail. Im going to buy front and rear whiteline adjustable 24mm swaybars, What are peoples thoughts on these bars? SHould i just go for the xtra heavy duty non adjustable 24mm bars? What i want is to stiffen and eleminate body roll for easier drifting, also hold wheels to ground to eliminate tramp etc. How hard are they to fit? Can i fit them myself? What work is involved in this? Thanks guys.

  22. Thanks for the replys guys, just wanted some feedback from the people who know the skylines the best. We dont want to be wasting time with people thinking this should do it etc etc.. What do you guys think for a twin sequential setup?
  23. This is a rough idea on what will be done to the motor. New forged cams Metal Headgasket port/polish forged pistons forged crank Block shot peened for strength. Blue printed Larger sump with baffels 12a injectors Larger fuel pump Computer New turbo with external waste gates. Either single or twin setup All intake piping Largish intercooler( From boonet to bottom of gtr lip, and spotlight to spotlight. IS a biggen) Larger throttle body Larger plenum Tuned intake manifold piping Tuned exhaust manifold piping 3.5inch Twin dump 3.5-4inch exhuast( but retaining quietness, well, close... maybe not..?!) New 6 speed box(possibly s15 box. Have parts strengthened for the job) Double or triple brass button( has single now, is bitch to drive with) Strengthened tailshaft Diff, not so sure. Have been told will handle power. Well, everything bar the box will handle the power we have been told. But doing all the work to make it a bulletproof setup. What want the power, and the reliabilty. All persons involved say its a reasonable goal, and is a piece of cake. AS i said before, with sponsorship, anything can be done.
  24. Ok guys, this has opened a real can of worms. So lets get back to the main topic hey. Im not too worried about gearing and speeds of silvias and skylines etc. Basicly, for the show, the next project car is the skyline, and our aim is to make the toughest R32 skyline, using the RB20 motor. The RB25 and RB26 are all good and stuff, but how many kickarse RB20's are there? None that i know of. So, basicly, all i really want to know, is what turbo setup should i use to gain that power figure. It really doesnt matter if its for track or drag or street, i really dont think that is an issue. Basicly the car will be showed around aus, so we can eliminate that issue. The gearing is all well and good, but im not worried about what power it will be making at what revs and gears, all interesting though. It is a decision between doing a single turbo setup, or a sequential turbo setup. The rev ranges are general ideas on where we want boost to be at. I would prefer them to be lower and flow right through. As this is a sponsored car, anything is possible.
