Modifying GTR rims to fit GTS-T
mtopxsecret6 replied to Ronin 09's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey guys, will a wheel with the r32 gtr offset fit on an r32 gtst? As i am getting some 19x8 rims that have the gtr offset? Thanks. -
I just want peoples oppions on what turbo to run To give approx 400hp at the wheels. Prefer full boost around 2500---3000 to 4000 max. And keep boost through to 7-8000rpm. I know that it will take longer to spool up than what i have, but maybe a hybrid setup would compensate lowend, and provide for highend? Im also looking at a sequential setup, but, im just looking at all the options before i decide on which avenue i will fully look into. Thanks.

That sounds like a similar design as the spcial edition design for the 180/silvia. Does anybody have the web address for tommy kaira?
-
ok cool. I will have to keep hunting. Anyone else got any ideas? How hard would it be to make a digital dash? Maybe thats going a bit far?
-
Hello guys. I was just wondering if the R32 ever came with a digital dash? The silvia/180 had a special edition model that had a half digital/analogue setup. Now that looked absolutely crap, but, im after one that is completely digitial. Eg, like the ford digital. MY mx6 has a digital dash, and it is much more better in appearance etc than the analogue on the skyline. Thanks. This prolly isnt in the right thread, i wasnt so sure on where it should have been posted. sorry..

Incar TV running with Alpine Headunit
mtopxsecret6 replied to mtopxsecret6's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Igniteable, you a legend mate! will t onto straight away! Chris, i will give you a call soon for ideas etc. Also, howd you go with the alarm chris? find the distributor etc? Thanks guys. -
You would have the bov set to very soft, and the entire shaft is moving, so both seals is opening.

Incar TV running with Alpine Headunit
mtopxsecret6 replied to mtopxsecret6's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Thanks fella, but the alpines dont have rca inputs.. just ai net etc. Is an idea installing to the amps, but the hu has speaker and sub out puts, so that makes life interesting. -
Seems alot of people in here are uni students..... To me, it still means kids... I think the main people, and most important people who are not big fans of bov's, are the transport department, and the cozza's.. and thats all that really matters on this issue. Im sure, when a turby vehicle goes by with bov action, weather your walking, talking or farting, your gonna look and go, "cool.... turbo dude!" There is a possible chance you would even give them the thumbs up aswell. Your not gonna go "f*****g wank!" Why? Because were all turbo vehicle owners.. better than bombadore and falcoon owners. Oh, pentae, dont let the females from uni play with your mind.. seems thats whats happened with this post...

The ssqv does make the cho cho cho noise. The turbine (air chopping) does do this aswell, but it isnt this that is making the noise in this case, the bov can be setup to make that cho cho cho noise. That is how mine is setup at the moment. The adjustment screw is for adjusting the movement of the shaft, which is attached to the main seal on the bov. Tighten the spring( but not fully tight), and fine tunning is needed and only the little seal(the one with "hks sequential bov" written on it) moves. This gives you the cho cho cho noise. If you run with out the inside adapter thingy, it makes a totally different noise all together! it is a wiered noise, lets say.. throwing the air forward, and pulling it back again.. Very weired and cool. The sequential bov, hks mk2 is adjustable. Similar setup as the hks mk3, the screw tightens the main shaft, but still allows the inner valve to move freely. The mk2 is a quiet bov, but it does have a note. It is more like a fffaaarrccchhoooooooooooooo... is an awesome note.. if the tension is setup right, the ending sounds like a very long low pitched whistle note, like a human whistle note. goodstuff.

Hello, i just have a quick question.... Im looking at buying an in car tv screen, not a name brand. This will be to run the ps2. But, how do you connect the audio from the ps2 into the rest of the system? I have the double din alpine md headunit. Im assuming the video goes straight into the tv screen.. How would it be set up for powerup etc? Like, when the ps2 is powered up, the screen is only powered up at the time? Also, because i have a double din HU, where would be a good spot to mount the screen? Thanks a million guys.

Me too! me too!! i want one.. may seem ricey to some, but its a factory optional extra.. and i just want it! Does anybody have one? which cars normally have it? How can you tell if it has is the illuminated one? will have to go to jap wreckers and hunt around.. Oh, i dont see how it could be illegal, its a factory optional extra...
-
Thanks dude.. will do some research
-
What material would be best used to make a box for the pod filter? IM thinking for reflecting heat away? Fibreglass? metal?
-
Is there other ways without holes in the bonnet etc? Doesnt onof the BRock commy have that reverse inlet setup? Very interesting.. would be alot of time research and effort to get it setup right though..
-
All interesting information.. is there any other way for cooling effect to be effective with out big air vent holes etc? Why im asking all these questions is, with 500 odd hp at motor that were aiming for.. i want alot of cooling throught the bay..
-
Thanks guys.. The reason i want it is for cooling.., The reason why they do it.. simple. Hey rezz.. is that german your trying to speak? hehe. And no, no black cf lookalike shat here..
-
Hello people.. Im just wondering how you go about raising the rear of the bonnet, to get the dorifto look? thanks..
-
Hey ait.. i see your a huge skyline follower, why were you on the mx6 site for? Isnt this over yet? it just seems to be the same people who keep posting now..
-
A skyline can cost from 20k and up.. through a yard.. woth a little more than an mx6 these days. I bought mine for 14k though, through a personal importer.
-
Look guys..This thread is lessing in maturity level here on this forum, as it was in mx com.. Grow up everyone.. Basicly.. it is two different cars, two different setups.. The mx6 has shatloads of torque, not a high rev range, or much power. The nissans on the other hand, have shatloads of power, and a high rev range with plenty of torque.. So, if you think about it, if an mx6 can beat a skyline, good on him.. job well done.. As it was first stated in the post, a modded mx6, and what seemed not modded skyline.. It seems the person was a bit over anxious on what he could beat. As i said before, i have both cars, and there are both great cars.. A eighties heap of shit? Its the same years as the 32? does that make them an 80's heap of shit aswell? Dont think the skyline boys would like that? Max boost for a mx turbo is 15psi, not 10.. I believe the stock 32 turbo cannot handle more than 12-13psi? Because of it being ceramic..? I dont know about the 33, as i only own the 32. So tit for tat, the skyline has more potential.. but doesnt make the mx6 an 80's heap of shit... It has potential aswell.. Just, being fwd, people dont tend to lean towards them as performance manchines.. Oh, by the way, why was a skyline owner cruising around on the mx6 forums?? thats rather funny? Guys, lets just pull our heads in and get over this silly non world threating issue...
-
HERE HERE!!!!
-
Basicly, you have captured clips from both post's.. And, they both dwindled down into a flame against the first gen, and second gen.. tsk tsk.. very stupid..
-
Yeah, is pretty funny.. Alot of peple can dish it out, and not really have an understanding on what there talking about.. hehe funny stuff.. Well, anyways.. Im an owner of the mx6.. and to say the least, am proud of the car. I also own my 32 aswell.. And, by far, the mx has no chance over the 32. But, they are both two very different cars.. The mx being a turbo front wheel drive, and the 32 a turbo rear wheel.. Id say the car he beat was a non turbo.. theres just no way he would eb able to beat any skyline.. i know that for fact.. i have done test's.. I must adnit though.. there is one mx6 that does and can beat my 32.. it has slight booost, 3inch exhaust blah blah.. and my 32 being stock, the mx pulls away from the line, and i par with him in speed, but cannot pass. MIght be my driving style.. brass button.. But, to get those sorta times from an mx, ie 14'98, is very good.. not too many can get low like that without major modifications.. As mrrb20 said.. there more of a cruise family car.. they are actually a turbo 626 in two door format. the mx came out from 89-92.. the front turbo models..The only problem they have is severe torque steer.. just somepeople are a bit over eager in there claims i guess..!? HA HA!!.. just read through it again.. thats the funniest thing ive seen for a long time! HA HA!:bahaha:
