  1. yes, that i s agood question.. ive always wondered what it meant too.. can anyone enlighten us..?
  2. Thanks for your help guys.. really thank you guys alot!
  3. Thanks matey, i cant quite see the plate properly, im blind as a bat! well, not really, i just cant see it properly on that angle, and i dont know what im looking for. Is there any chance you wouldnt have a clearer shot? Thanks for your your help so guys.
  4. Yeah, no, i dont have that.. just the car itself. Has anybody got a picture of a japanese plate or something? So i can make a replica for when i show my vehicle? Thanks.
  5. yeah, ok no worries mate. I tried looking fo rhtose plates, but could not find any.
  6. Yeah, ok, thanks for that. I was sorta after crash history etc etc. I understand what you mean by the different plates that have possibly been on the car. I guess i'll have to keep looking and find other emans of tracking this information down.
  7. Gday guys. I have two questions for the fellas in j-pan. I was wondering, if i gave you the car details, eg chassis number engin number etc. How hard would it be to track down the original and true history of a car? Ie being my car. Here in aus it is easy to do, so im thinking maybe it could be done there aswell? Also, as part of the history of the car, what i want is to find out what the original j-pan rego plates were on my car when it was over there? Or, if you have a clear picture of a 32 styline with rego plates? I ask this because i want to make a replica plate for my car, when i enter it into shows etc, and i sorta wanted to have it all original with original plates etc from j-pan. Thanks for you time fellas.
  8. The 6.5" speakers will fit. I have 18mm mdf with two speakers behind that original grill, and they fit in perfectly. Just use your imagination.
  9. Thanks fella. The front speakers are: kenwood 4" component speakers. Boston 5.25" component speakers. The 'boxes' are the crossovers for these speakers. Is good, is loud, is clear!
  10. Yeah, it is the standard type m bar, but with an aftermarket gtr lip on the bottom. But, i tore that bar off a little while ago.. 'speedbumps' But, i know have an original gtr bar on it at the moment. not the same colour though. Well, if you need a hand with it or anything.. let me know and i will come and help you if you want. Im more than happy to help out.. audio being my mostly loved hobby! other than skyline.
  11. go the rotor motor! Most of the piston motor lovers have blinkers on, and cant see the various types of combustion engine marvels. Oh, i voted for rotor motor. nothing like it!
  12. god, my spelling is bad isnt!!
  13. well my alpine 6b9's fitted in nicely.. behind the door skin had plenty oif room, even for the speaker maounted straight tho the door! The 6b9 should fit.. just a bit of imagination is needed.
  14. How are you mounting the speeaker? Are you just mounting thwem to the metal door? I would suggest using 18mm mdf as a backing board then putting the speaaker onto that. Dont worry about putting the speakers speaker grill on it.. not needed when it is being proteected by the door grill. Give that a try, you will find it will work. Heck, if i can fit a 4inch and a 5.25 inch in a 4inch speaker fitment, anything can be done.
  15. Got any pics to send through?
  16. Thanks guys. They are mtx thunder 6000. not free air, but with an aluminium cone, handles the flexure well. Gives good tight bass, plus long enxtended bass. I did not go with a box, because i still want my boot. I achieved everything i wanted from it, so i am very happy with it. I am thinking of desinging an iso baric 'cell' to help compliment the subwoofers. but, the quality of the bass is good. starts at about 20hz, and goes all the way to about 250hz in this setup. which i am happy with. one pic i didnt take was of the rear parcell shelf. i made a complete new shelf and made it factory, but with two alpine ddd 6.5inch components. anyway, basicly i got what i planned when i sat down and designed the system. just hope its enough to impress the guys at the audio stores for a job!! cause ive no job these days!!
  17. Hey guys, well after some months planning, i have finally finished my custom audio install. Took a week to with at a couple of hours every couple of days. But, my god does it sound so nice! http://au.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/billya...r=/b994&.src=ph enjoy:devfu:
  18. hey buddy, is the rear the 4 door seat setup? Im after the upright seat with the fold down centre section.. if you do have it, i will give you 50 for it. If it fits into the 2 door version. Thanks.
  19. Mine do it! I had it configureed into the alarm, windows wind up, then mirors fold in. very sexy indeed. Then you press another button, and the door opens for you. nice nice. im just lazy, not ricey. Aafterall, the car is a showcar buildup.. you have to have the wows and the ooohhss and the aahhsss.. to stabd out int he crowd! Have a talk to chris at soundoff installations, he said he wasnt going to do another again(it was a reall pain in the back side, but worked out reall easy in the end), but if you twisted his arm.. im sure i would do another one. tell him about my setup, and he will know what to do straight away.
  20. Dead eye dick hey! Good to see your on the ball huh? hehe. Carseen is the correct spelling, if you split car and seen, you get.. car seen. What it means is cars and being 'seen' in the scene. Thats the concept for car seen. But thanks for pointing out something very simple.
  21. Hey guys, just letting you all know that Carseen is now ready for series two! Hopefully all you brissy boys have been watching carseen through out the first series, and are eager to feast on more of the local south east Queensland car seen! This series will be bigger and better! Hope you all will enjoy! Thursdays at 10pm, and saturday at 11am. www.carseen.com
  22. Im just curious as to how the metal insert in the back seat/wall is a 'structual' item? i have removed mine completely and fitted two 10inch mtx subs in a free air setup. The metal plate is light bendable and flimsy. And simply just bolts on, not under pressure from exerting forces etc? This seems rather interesting to me.
  23. I have a 5.25 inch split, and a 4inch split in the front doors of my car. they fit in very nicely. included with the crossovers and tweeters.
  24. You guys beat me too it! I was going to write up the full wiring colour coding.. damn it! Anyways, when you use either the rpm or speed out warning.. you need to use a relay inline to your item. I my case, i used an led, with a flasher unit i made to make it flash like a pivot shift etc. It works fine and dandy!
  25. Cool, thanks buddy, we are getting closer!
