Marlin: Cool. I always thought all N1 has their ABS ripped along with the a/c etc... -
R33 Gtr V-spec N1 Mods Suggestions?
Brandon replied to Brandon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
There were some when it was posted on carsale but the importer has removed the ad since. I'll remember to take some detail photos when I dropby maybe over the weekend. These were taken by the mrs... Hopefully I should be able to pick it up end of next week. The only part that I'm waiting on is the condenser thats coming from sydney and my friend to do a full rust protection for the car next week. -

Heres the link to the car that was bought. They look a lot better than those that I took myself. lol http://imperialauto.com.au/modules/content...vid=40&type= And heres a few which I've taken last week. Unfortunately I am unable to get more photos as it's still sitting in my friend's garage to get the a/c,security etc done. Cheers! -

Skyline: Yea it does get quite hot up here and Mrs' complain about the a/c. Actually I dont know. The bonnet doesnt feel as light as carbon but its not steel either. I'm guessing aluminium. Its not heavy thats all I can say. -
R33 Gtr V-spec N1 Mods Suggestions?

Skyline: Thanks for the suggestion! Very detailed and exactly what I was thinking. The previous owner put the ABS back on and judging from the condition of the car, I would have thought the previous owner is like me (I'm putting a/c on it... dont kill me!). I wouldnt rally it or do any serious mods but at the same time I would like to get as much power out of it as what you have suggested. Thanks to all that help me assure myself with just an ECU upgrade will do the trick. -

Savman: what boost are you running at? -

Savman: Cool! Thats what I need. Someone to confirm the reliability and power output from basic mods. I'll add the boost controller to the list. Does it matter what brand/model is the boost controller? Thanks! -

N1GTR: Thats what I'll be doing but I suppose changing ECU isnt such a big deal as compared to engine/intercooler mods. For now I only have the ECU, rims and exhaust (getting it softer) on my mind... Maybe also the pod filter for BOV sound? -

Femno: I was reading all the threads for the past wk or so but seriously I cant even find somewhere that says the best offset for GTR. But what I did find was by changing the ECU it'll make a whole lot of difference, which is why I'm just planning to do just that. Yes its got steel turbines instead of ceramic. Its a stock N1 not a GTR with N1 mods. Blitz: Thanks! I got it from Imperial Auto Imports here in Brissy. Was hunting around for 34s but this made me change my mind as I'll have more spare cash with me if I dont get the 34. Yea I know they're rare but I dont really have an idea how many were produced. Figures where 45 were produced for 34 N1 and some 200+ for 32? But I cant find much infos on the 33 not to mention specs on the N1 as well (like whats the standard power and what are they good for as stock etc.). -
Hi everyone! I just bought myself a R33 GTR V-Spec N1 and just having a thought about what to do with it. I would like to keep to as stock as possible (no engine mods or hardcore ones). Currently it's got everything that the N1 comes with cept for the Work rims (hoping to get a bronze LMGT4 down the track, suggestion for offset and tyres? Anyone sell?) and a Trust titanium exhaust system which I have no idea what model is it (after looking around it can either be the PE-TI or TIR?) The car isnt even lowered and the only illegal thing about the car would probably be the exhaust sound (quite loud and I remember seeing somewhere its on the 92-96dB range, legal 90?). After reading, sliencer seems to do the trick but it'll restrict airflow/power and a 2nd muffler seems to be the go. Any ideas on reducing the sound level without affecting the performance? I dont know much about the N1 spec but I'm assuming the ECU will be replaced by either the Haltech E11V2 or PFC (recommendations?). And after that if everything else is ok, where do I get it tuned? I'm assuming I will need to bring it to someone reliable and professional since I've never touch anything like this before (anywhere around Brisbane? I can only think of APC at Underwood.) I have not bring the car for a dyno yet and have no idea what boost it's running on but I dont feel an awful lot of power when I am driving it though. Considering everything is stock, what would be a good reliable setting for the car and at the same time gives you the satisfaction of owning a GTR? I hope I'm not sounding too ignorant. Thanks to all who have helped me in the past (the 34 still remains a dream). Cheers!

I am looking at getting an a/c for this N1 33 GTR which I am planning to get sometime this week if the final inspection turns out to be ok. Anyone has any idea how much they're worth? Anyone selling them? I was told it'll probably be around 2k for the a/c+install. Comments are welcome. Thanks.

Importing Help Needed
Brandon replied to leeuwin's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
After what BB said, isnt it obvious? -
Precisely. My point of this post was just to share the vid, nothing more than that. At the end of the day, we all know which car retains its value or worth more. The 35GTR's going for something like 300SGD and 34GTRs are still around 190k SGD mark even after 8yrs? This shows a lot about the car. I personally love the GTR and due to some stupid loan condition i couldnt get it last yr (sorry to trouble so many people here during that period). And I still am a GTR wannabe now. I wish 2009 would come faster. Cheers

To me I think its just a vid for fun. Its more like Mod vs Un-mod. The boost of the gtr wasnt brought up and that civic is like 0.5tonne lighter with same power. Not surprising for the win at all but the engine wouldnt last long...
-
Its Singapore. I saw 1 on the road when I went back for holiday in March this year. I heard from my friend its going for around 300k SGD which is works out to be roughly 240AUD
-
Pretty cool but not really surprising since that bloody type r's like 1/5 a tonne lighter with same hp. It's more like Mod vs Un-mod. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/CIVIC-T...11-9a240083bca2

I have a question regarding imports without logbooks. Are they common? The dash has been changed but the actually mileage has been recorded down on the auction sheet. Anyone thinks this will be a problem? I have arranged the car to be checked by a third party company. Its a dealer's car btw. Hear some good stuff regarding this dealer from Mark Hocking too. I just want to know is it normal to get a GTR without logbooks or not. Cheers

Anyone know where is a good place to get the safety certificate in Brisbane? Pardon my ignorance, its my first time getting a car in Aus. Its a 34 gtr. Thanks
-
Anyone have any comments on International Motor Group in Sydney? They seem to have a few GTRs in stock. After calling them up, all they ask for is just $500 deposit before the car is landed and complied. Meaning they've won the bid or have a car shipping into Australia before they have a buyer for it. The price includes compliance and 3mths rego too. Pros: no money up front. warranty Everything else is pretty much like getting it off from an importer.

wrxhoon: Just 1 last question for all, do you guys think i should import 1 or get 1 in aus (dealer).
