  1. Posted this for sale a few months back but in the general for sale section and have been busy to follow up. Re-posting it again in the V section. Need to clear room in my garage. Selling for $2,100. Located in Canberra, prefer pick up but will ship if necessary at buyers expense. Work Wheels Schwert SC2 in 19". PCD 114.3. Front 19" x 9" +22 offset. Rear 19" x 10" +22 offset. One rear has gutter rash as pictured, the rest are in pristine condition. Tyres are Falken 452 (F) 245/35/19 while Rear has 275/35/19. All tyres in good condition, about 80% tread. This is a staggered set up so will only fit the coupe model. I've included a picture with the car when it was mounted (have since sold the car). Will also fit in a Nissan 350Z. Wheels will clear Brembo calipers. Cost over $3,500 to import from Japan for wheels alone. Please PM me if you are interested or if you need more information.
  2. hey stuart, i thought the standard OEM came in 18" rims for the manual anyway. some came with 17" rims. just to clarify, the fronts are 245/35/19 (not 24/35/19). I think the tyres you listed will fit but i'm not an expert on that topic. they will look skinnier with the tyres you mentioned though so the effect is that it won't fill out the guards as much. the Work wheels have a more aggressive offset compared to OEM but not too aggressive that you need to do some guard work. the rim and tyre size was (from what I read before I bought them) the closest you can get to OEM without fear of being defected or setting off the VDC.
  3. Replied to your PM. There are several V35 in ACT, I've seen 2 other cars in blue and a couple of silver ones as well - coupes. Even saw a V36 a few weeks back but not sure if it was local.
  4. Sold my V35 and now want to clear my garage: Work Schwert SC2 (F) 19 x 9 +22 offset ® 19 x 10 +22 offset. Left rear has gutter rash, the rest are pristine. Tyres fitted are Falken 452 all around 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear with about 75-80% tread. Asking $2,950, prefer pick up in ACT or arrange your own courier. OEM grille at $50 + postage. Full listing and more pics in the for sale section of SAU - thought I'd post it here as it was custom ordered for V35 coupe with Brembos: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/409477-work-wheels-for-v35-oem-grille-for-sale/ Please PM me if interested. This should also fit the 350Z with Brembo calipers. No guard work needed.
  5. I've sold my V35 and so up for grabs is a set of Work Wheels Schwert SC2 in Crystal Silver: (F) 5-114.3 19 x 9.0 +22 offset with 60 mm dish ® 5-114.3 19 x 10.0 +22 offset with 91 mm dish These will fit V35 (coupe)/350Z without needing guard work. Tyres are Falken 452 all around, about 75-80% tread. Front 24/35/19. Rear 275/35/19. Left rear wheel has a gutter rash, the rest are pristine. Asking $2,950. Prefer pick up in ACT or arrange your own courier. Brand new set with tyres can cost between $4,200-$4,500 with 7-8 wks waiting time from Japan. Also for sale is a V35 OEM grille for $50 + postage. PM me if you are interested or call 02 6201 9421. Thanks.
  6. +1 although the 36 coupe's interior is so much better.
  7. should be another switch on the left side (below the steering wheel). you can either turn it off, auto folding when locked or permanently fold - so it looks like a light/lamp switch and not just a button. usually near the remote control for adjusting the side mirrors.
  8. no prob. your set up looks great judging from the track pics you posted and the wheels look hot. front is perfect already and putting on the spacers at the rear should bring it out to match it. looking forward to the pics.
  9. thanks for the comments. 19 x 9 +22 (F) on 245/35R19 19 x 10 +22 ® on 275/35R19 no rubbing but then again i haven't dropped it and i travel light. read somewhere here that the max width at the rears to avoid rubbing was 9.5" at +22 but the extra rim depth was too tempting.
  10. Thought I'd post a pic of my V with new shoes. I know.. it needs a drop to complete the set-up but I have the same problem as some of you here. I don't want to scrape off the front lip
  11. I thought the original was in chrome anyway (but not the bright chrome). How about painting it black? Had mine redone in metallic black and it doesn't look too bad.
  12. i could be wrong but i think the 452's are meant to be the more expensive tyre model and is available in larger sizes. both have similar reviews from what i can tell.
  13. Andy, do you know if this spec.dock adaptor can be connected straight into the stock unit or do you need a USA-Spec adaptor for it to work (just like Stryde's set up)? In his set up, it looks like the Ipod connector is a permanent fixture - meaning the complete removal of the ashtray panel. It would be good if it can still be closed/folded while not in use. Cheers, Rob
  14. If you like to maintain your stock unit and just be able to use/integrate your iphone, check out spec.dock (http://www.2point5.com/). I personally haven't tried it out yet but it was recommended by someone in this forum. Might be worth looking into. It is a US site though.
  15. spoke to a nice young lady who drove a silver V35 with premium pack just before 9 AM today at the london circuit car park in canberra. she said she is a member of this forum but didn't get her name. too bad i didn't drive my V this morning as i had to use the public car park.
  16. makes sense then and explains why the ride is stiffer than other standard coupes. it doesn't look aftermarket either - the nuts all look original (untouched). thanks for the advice, you're the second one to mention the PSS9. set and forget is what i'm after.
  17. had the conversion done today. everything's working and it looks great. thanks to andy who was in canberra since saturday. his stagea looks hot and the toys he's put in it are incredible. i didn't realise how similar the interior of the stageo are to the V. met another stagea owner in the process - who also had the conversion done. great work, andy!
  18. Can you give us some feedback after you track the car or after you've had them for a while? Does anyone know what the OEM shocks are on these manual coupes? Is it just some generic shocks that Nissan puts in? I've heard that JDM cars don't have the sport suspension on the manual/brembo-equipped cars unlike in the US. I took a peek, it has bilstein shocks so unless that's standard, might explain the ride.
  19. No problems with the suspension, the car is in top shape. It's also generally a weekend car so it has done limited kms since I got it. I guess I should re-phrase my original post. I find the ride a bit on the hard side because I suppose I'm used to my daily driver. But like I said, it's something that I can live with and it doesn't bother me. It's the price I'm willing to pay for better handling and a good looking ride. My passengers are the ones who complain and since I can't kick them out, I'm stuck with them Mosoto (Mark), thanks for your comments, I'll check it out. N15M0, no offence taken. That's why I posted this question in the Forum, to get ideas. I know that getting bigger wheels will affect the ride. I jumped from 16" to 19" on my other ride which surprisingly didn't affect it too much in terms of ride harshness. True it was a bit more bumpy but nothing drastic (didn't get any complaints either even when I later switched to Tein springs). In short I don't have first hand experience with coilovers. The reason I'm looking at coilovers rather than just lowering springs is because I need flexibility in terms of the height adjustment. I've got the front spoilers and I don't want to scrape it off going into my driveway. Now if the coilover set up can provide the same comfort/ride as OEM set up or even better then it becomes a no brainer. As long as it's not jarring, it should be good. I don't want to constantly see the dentist to fix my fillings. I'm wary about the clunking sound that seems to pervade coilovers (just from reading forums) so I need some advice/feedback. Maybe I'll just leave the current set up and see how it goes. It just would look so much better lowered with bigger wheels. My hats off to the BMW engineers who seem to have mastered the suspension game. The sport edition 3 series coupe I drove with 19"s was smooth as yet stayed flat on corners. Then again, it's 3-4 times the cost of the V. Can't see why a car should cost so much - it's still just a car. Thanks again for the feedback.
  20. Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess having coilovers is not as clear cut as it appears to be. The adjustability is still a big advantage over changing to lower/stiffer springs but it looks like it's not easy to do. I may need to check overseas forums to see what their experiences are with coilovers. Problem is that it's quite difficult to find reviews on the web (most are on brands that are not common here).
  21. I'm thinking of putting coilovers on the V but before I bite the bullet, I was wondering if I can get some advice/feedback. I don't track the car and have no intention of doing so. I just want the flexibility it offers (height and damper adjustability). I find the manual stock ride a little bit on the harsh side but livable and I don't want it to get any worse which is certain if I just change the springs. I plan to change the wheels to 19"s or 20"s so I think that putting coilovers will help find the balance to maintain the current ride while lowering the car. B977 was very helpful in giving his thoughts and was very happy with BC coilovers BR series (10 kg front/8 kg rear). Just wondering what others have experienced with other brands. Has anyone heard or used HSD coilovers (twin tube or TT)? Is it true that most coilovers produce that metal to metal sound on rough surfaces? Will changing to coilovers require a camber kit? Thanks for any advice or feedback.
  22. Although the armrest looks different (Japanese car seems to have some sort of stripes running across it), the aftermarket head unit looks the same. The video looks a bit grainy to be certain though.
