Nah, the transfer case was making bad noises well before I got hold of it. The part that failed was the chain that runs the front driveshaft. It was probably flogged before I got to it.
The way the mech explained it is that a faulty G-sensor prevents the front wheels engaging when the rears slip, it doesn't run the ATESSA 100% and burn out the T/C.
Stinky, how much do you want for it? If you wrap it in enough bubble wrap and secure it in a decent box it shouldn't get damaged. I don't know why mine is but there's a little sensor on the side that turns red when it's damaged. sort of like a geiger counter
