  1. I just got a pass to park under the new construction in Section 84. it's only open to people working on the job though, no public access yet. when the job finishes in about october it'll be open to the public
  2. dammit missed the early bird pricing...
  3. i read for the R33 when i had mine, that the fuel light came on when there was approximately 7L left in the tank. one could assume the same for the stagea. i've driven for up to half an hour on my fuel light and not had a problem. helps to squeeze that little extra out of a tank
  4. Haha, yeah i know would have been good. He assured me i'll have it back tomorrow. who would have thought stagea wheel bearings would be so hard to get. I'm not looking forward to the bill at the end of the day though
  5. How about 15/16 July, or 22/23 July. My choice would be a quick meet somewhere, say museum, then a cruise to a nice bbq spot, say cotter, take some photos in the lush green countryside. if we can organise both for the weekend, how about a dyno on the sunday of the weekend. other way around could work as well, dyno sat, cruise sun. anywho, thats my 2 cents, but i might be trying to cram in more than is possible Oh, and chris at inline ensures me my car will be ready tomorrow
  6. i've had heaps of good results from Jerry and Adrian. had a lot of my stagea and most of my skyline resprayed in their shop and the results have been great
  7. Spotted: my new GCG hi-flo turbo sitting in my garage with no car to go into...
  8. I want to come, wait for my car to be fixed, pleeeeaaaassseeee!
  9. Yeah i'm sure it's the wheel bearings. they're shagged completely, making terrible noise and such. i've done almost 170,000km on my stagea. only 2 of them were busted, but i figured i'd replace all of them at the same time. my odometer might not be accurate either with all the clocks being wound back (got it at 97,000)
  10. My car still isn't fixed. my mech sourced 4 wheel bearings through nissan, and they only sent him 3. this is a disaster, i hope no one else has to go through this much pain to replace wheel bearings. this will cost me a fortune, but hopefully my car will run super smooth and quiet.
  11. Is there much difference? i need to get mine recovered to match my leather interior.
  12. that's a good plan, another ACT photo shoot. it's been a while since the last one
  13. Yeah i think she lives there now. chris has struggled to get the right wheel bearings, and keeps finding a new CV boot has split each day, the bloody car has 8 of them. he was fairly apologetic on friday that i couldn't get my car back for the weekend and he offered me his Z for the weekend. there was no way i'd take that, i couldnt drive a car that expensive. fingers crossed i get it back this week some time, i'm getting withdrawals
  14. yeah there's a 260RS for sale usually in the used cars. you can buy RSfours, but they're not very quick
  15. they'll be different front and rear as the fronts have the hole for the lock
  16. my g/f won't drive my car, it's too long. she'll drive my brothers (my ex) R33. they're about 4" different in length, so i don't get it either
  17. the ATESSA controller is separate to the ECU, so it doesn't matter what computer you use, so long as it supports the engine/gearbox
  18. He's working with a drill rig out of town, you might see it parked at a motel somewhere as he uses the work truck out bush
  19. Nah my dad is using it, and he's in Tamworth at the moment. i want the skyline though, relive the old days
  20. er... when i get some money saved for it. i have almost all parts, just need to find time. Oh and i'm waiting to get my brothers R33 registered so i have a car to drive around while it's in the shop. i'm guessing within the next month or 2
  21. Well disaster has struck my car yet again. It's been at my suspension mechanic for 2 weeks now, and i'm not getting it back anytime soon. Wheel bearings have been a pain in the butt to get replaced, the set he thought would work were 1mm out and even a 15T press couldn't get them in. He got the right ones, but they won't arrive until monday. My suspension mech being the good bloke he is loaned me his 350Z for the weekend, but i turned him down. no way was i going to drive around in one of those, i'd be paranoid of hitting something. Every time he looked under the car he noticed the CV boots splitting all over the shop, so i'm up for 4 of those now. a word of advise: DON'T USE UNIVERSAL CV BOOTS. they aren't designed for the movements the driveshafts make on stageas and wear in weak points and split very easily. On the up side, i now have straight as an arrow rear wheels. no more negative camber. i'll get part numbers for those adjustable arms so everyone can share in my straightness. means i can lower the car a little more now without worrying about uneven tyre wear, or even tyres rubbing on my coilovers (which is was presently doing)
  22. i have open air subs in my car, so my sub box doesn't have a back on it. when my gallery is back up i'll show you my pics, but my box can be unplugged relatively easily and just slides out when i need the boot space.
  23. for $3500 for the upgrade, it's coming on par with my current spending for manualisation. mine will roughly come to $4000 after install (not including powerfc and hiflo turbo) so it doesn't really matter which avenue you take, but you get a superior results afterwards.
  24. My gallery has vanished, i only just noticed it. is this a known issue, or only for people who say it's missing?
