  2. even better i want a set of these. bridgestone potenza re55s have a look at these pupppies EDIT: 700 bucks a tyre rrp tho lol
  3. well that explains it. i took my battery out a few weekends ago. makes logical sense. should of thought about that before i left my lights on lol.
  4. interesting to hear that a standard ecu will loose its remap if disconnected from battery?? can any one confirm this???
  5. Seems a bit harsh that you can purchase a car and arrange for it to be shipped somewhere but anyone who has access to the car on its way has the right to take/break whatever they like. Im quite an anal person about stuff like that. I know id be majorly pissed off if some one broke my glove box or pinched shit out of a car i had just purchased. Why on earth cant the shipping companies guarantee some sort of protection for customers who give them business. I'm an electrician by trade and if i sole from a building in town while i was working there i know for a fact my boss would fire me and call the cops on me himself. just my 2 cents
  6. hey all, im located in hobart and was wondering if anyone knew the dealer for a tyre called Novex Racers. have used the this tyre before on my 33 and was pretty happy with it. However, it was on a set of wheel when i got them, so im am unsure of where to purchase these. The tyre itself has an aggressive looking tread pattern to it. almost like a semi slick i suppose. any one else used them? good feed back of is this a tyre of not so great quality? Quick google search did not really help me out so any info would be great.
  7. hey kilo_gulf, those two engines do have the same bore size but have a slightly different stroke. rb25 has a bore x stroke of 86 X 71.7 rb26 has a bore x stroke of 86 X 73.7 take notice to the 2 mm difference in stroke.
  8. i got black and yellow main engine earth joshua. its all yours mate if u help me with diff. i got day off today if u want me to drop it at ur mums or at urs champ. ill just use the one thats already in the 33 when i need one
  9. injectors had bad spray pattern.
  10. PROBLEM SOLVED. DELETE THREAD. no useful information for others within i dont believe
  11. standard ecu with a remap im pretty sure. i know it cant be running the standard tune because a friends kid wound the boost controller right up and it ran at 20 psi for a few minutes the next time i drove it. not that any damage was done i only came on boost a few time befor i noticed but it didnt miss or rich and retard or anythng so def not standard tune i assume.
  12. photos of that particular 34 seem to be following me. ive stumbled across it a few times on the net recently... and yes doluck front bar. i beleive some one on here put one or one similar on his white 4 door recently and had pics up also.
  13. yer ill be chucking an 040 in also sorry
  14. i think 95 would be fine considering your driving. i personally always use 98. i assume ur reason for 95 is cost or is it availability in your area?
  15. I decided to take the car cover off the big 33 this morning and take her for a spin. Just got home and i dont have the usual smile i do when driving my car. Its about to tick over 100 000 km (unfortunately) so she is due for her major service anyhow. i did notice this morning it certainly doesnt have the punch and throttle response it did at about 85,000km when i brought it. its had regular oil and oil filter changes since then and coolant and gearbox oil when i brought it so i have not neglected the poor thing of fluids. also replaced pod filer. my thoughts for next week when i do full service are as follows... *new bosch platnium plugs *new o2 sensor *mutul turbolight 4100 engine oil *drift magnetic oil filter *coolant *motul diff oil (im opening diff to shim it anyway) *bosch fuel filter *service standard injectors will also take to a workshop to get timing belt, front mainseal and waterpump done. car has always been filled with bp ultimate since ive owned it. mods are.. front mount, cat back exhaust and 12psi. Fuel consumption has always been high but i assume its running fairly rich. any thing anyone can suggest to regain any of my missing power would be greatly appreciated?? am i missing anything in major service too? thanks.
  16. bosch 040 mate. great pump, highly rated. And for what they cost these days you cant go wrong. i suppose they are about the 200 dollar mark. i did however pick up an 044 for 100 bucks not long ago tho. brand new in box, and yes authentic bosch. keep and ear out there and u will find a new 040 at a reasonable price.
  17. yes i was about to say the same thing how ever i don't mind the look of it. its aesthetically pleasing when i think of other 5 door wagons such as the ve commodoor. but then again of coarse... this isn't your average 30 something grand car is it lol
  18. Hope your getting her into a stagea lol
  19. back when i sold my first skyline, i could tell that the young fella who brought it was a bit nervous on the test drive. he was grannying it like ive never seen before (which is to his credit really, he respected it wasnt his vehicle). i ended up forcing him to give it a bit of a squirt about so he could hear the thing run above 3000rpm lol. but maybe i started a bad thing there because unfortunatly i heard he blew the turbo in no time after purchasing it from me.
  20. +1 while looking at both my r33's before i purchased them i did indeed test drive both. i didnt quiet push the cars as hard as it seems your buyer did but i did now and then give them a bit of a punch. i wasnt about to purchase a car in the 10-20 grand range and have no knowledge of whether the engine ran smoothly under a bit of heavy boosting/load. but yes on the other hand i wouldnt jump in a car i was potentially buying and without permission take it to 6500 every gear change. i do feel its necessary for a buyer to personally drive the car themselves, i know i wouldnt buy a car i had not driven. but keep in mind its not your vehicle yet. its still someones elses pride and joy.
  21. hmmm let us know how u go. i do advise to keeping it to the track tho boys!!!
  22. are u sure its not coming on to boost till 6000 rpm? could be in dire need of a tune and the car is just sluggish as hell till high rpm? does the motor sound to be running right? no nasty ignition, fueling or timing problems? full boost at 6000 rpm is far from ideal in a street driven car.
  23. haha i must admit i had a chuckle at this. i just brought a little black kitten for the girlfriend... she named it MAX. the best part is watching him slide around the polished floor boards like a dog on wet tiles.
