Just thought I'd let you guys know(those that Pm'd me) That I've taken the easy way out after finding a second hand rack. So I wont be getting it engineered at this stage, so I cant help with giving feedback on that unfortunatly. Thanks for the help and input everyone.

Thanks guys, I thought I'd be up for around $400 so $200-250 sounds good, I ll make some calls tommorrow didn't really want to ring some random in case I got "wtf is hicas?" so see what happens, fairly set on getting it engineered, less haedache in the end.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has had their car engineered in Adelaide for the removal of Hicas(r32 gtr)? I have a lock bar in place wich regencey said looked 'fine n safe' etc but still need a report to clear defect If so who did you go to and what was the damage? Thanks guys

Are you wrecking the hicas rack? also need all 4 flexable brake lines(asuming they are standard). How much for both plz, damn defects

Hey, This sounds like a spliting image of me only 2 weeks ago, On south road at regency park cop did a u turn at lights and pulled me over(in my lunch break at work), and went through the whole car, got done for a bit. Told me the same, that he was going to fine me for each infrigment(modification) totalling $3000, but only issued the defect saying he was be kind. Heto boasted about all the skylines he defects, and in particular from this forum(named it)< Wouldn't be suprised if the twat is reading this now. Good luck with regency

Hey I reckon your problem would be a blocked vac line. I say this because I have the same car, same prob exaxtly (blew hose than had more probs later) checked everything. Found a dead vac line on the very bottom of the intake plenum, closest to the firewall. Dont know the best way to unblock this one as it was inside the plenum(not the line itself) So I just gave a quick blow in the line with an air compressor, and its been fine since. 2nd that! All obvious mods remove, and you'll be fine. I bought a 32 gtr in dec from melb, heaps of mods done. Made it look stock, raised coilovers etc, remove gauges, pfc controller, boost etc. All good, extremely worrying at the time but all i needed was Vin stamped. Jason

Does anyone know if they hoist the car up at regency for the id check? I just bought a 32 gtr with a bit done inc tein electronic coilovers, i'm guessing they wont like these? thought maybe sneek em through with it raised and take the elctronic motors out? Jason
