BB I come on here talking about how to get to 1300kgs or slightly under etc. At no point did i say i want a lightweight racing car so suggesting i should sell my car is pretty rude. As for running r32 gtr rims, well we dont all want to look as poverty stricken as you and so go for a nice set of lightweight 18s. If u think the extra 1.3 cms the rims have is worth calling mine narrow then u truly are stupid. I run 225/40 S-03 $400 tyres so im sure i have more grip there than whatever cheap tyres you run on your 16x8s. And as far as track days go a set of r33 gtr rims being 9 inches wide might be worth trying. However for the street they will stick out the sides, as all gtr rims are the wrong offset for the lesser models. In no way do i want a gtr, i mean firstly they dont come with sunroofs More seriously though im not attracted to a 1500+ kg car, with terrible weight balance, all being moved around by only 2.6ltrs. It is my aim to create a rwd 1300kg car, without and extra 150kgs over the front wheels, with a 500hp 26/30 single turbo motor. Also fwiw, if i have 20% less weight than a gtr i would need 20% less grip. So a gtr running on 9inch rims would be similar to a gtst running 7.2s at 7.5 i think im safe However i will concede i am looking into some nismo 18x9s with gtr offset for when i finish the 26/30.

Heh nice find, ill be getting a single piece made up when i convert the box to z32/r33. May even go the carbon route if it can be done for 2k or under. I think i will sell my car though, get a car more like beer barons. I mean id love to have a skyline over 1500kgs, with an extra 150kg over the front wheels, and then only have 2.6 litres to move it all around :S im off to get my sunroof filled in so i can gain .1 second a lap

Like i said im just hoping to get the car under 1300kgs. Im NOT as ive said before going all out trying to make it the lightest r32 ever! And as i said im not 100% on many of the weights. Firstly GTR seats are lighter than the stock seats, i know this because i fitted them and they were much lighter. Secondly a sunroof is hardly going to add seconds to ur lap time lol. Also as far as skylines go the r32 gtst is one of the lighter ones is it not? Furthermore i had a mate hold the back seats the crap under them, the seatbelts, the rear speakers and he had more trouble holding that up that 15kg of my weights. I will weigh a stock rim and get back to this thread on the difference in wheel weight as im not sure there would be to much gained their either(lost), however suggesting i run gtr rims is riduculous. Thanks for ur best attempt to cut down my efforts though, ill get the car to the weigh bridge soon and well see how i went. Give me a number, ill go for 1300kgs and well see who is closer.....

I dont drive the car daily or commute it to work etc. I sure dont need carpet to find the car inviting, and i enjoy the car being louder inside. So each to their own really....

Hopefully there is some place that specialises in it, then i could send them the windows and sunroof, have the plastic ones retinted and put them back in

To SLY33 Track style car, that happens to have road rego. Will include street driving, re555s or similar when these S-03s wear out. Toy car basically, i have another car i daily drive.

There was some threads on this awhile ago, some place in europe can make them. I think they were about 1500 from memory. I would pay upto 2k for one, and will try and investigate it some more when its time. If its just a matter of giving them some measurements it might become a possibility.

Just posting this to gauge the amount of interest there is on the forum for a GB on Nismo mechanical 1.5 or 2 way LSDs I think it would be better if someone with experience organised this, perhaps someone who has done GB's with Greenline or Nengun before. Mmm interesting figure for the r33 there. Would be nice if that was correct (not saying its not) I put the rear tray back it was only 1kg and makes it look a bit neater and the stripped back not as noticeable. No glovebox would be to ugly for me

Good point about the battery, ill change that when i move it to the boot. I dont want to go overboard and empty the washer bottles, i really just want to get it under 1300kgs, with half a tank of fuel would be nice too For now wont be removing anything else except the air con and last of the rear seatbelts. Just wondering on what people thought of the weights i came up with and weather or not i would be under 1300.

Its a 93 coupe with sunroof and abs. I though stock weight was 1360 without the sunroof and abs, hmm. Good to know a weight someone has actually got from a weighbridge tho, thanks
