  1. Yep, he's right. I had that same thing done to my bonnet, although, it was mild track car. In accident, bonnet went up and smashed windscreen. + didn't have that bonnet safety latch thing.
  2. lol.. i just don't get how a production car already doing 0-100 in 3.3 is being modified further.. to become faster its nutss!! 10/10
  3. Undergraduate Accountant. on a 4 year Traineeship program Money= 34k inc super p.a . . . . lol Over 1 year out of school, and over 1 year of full time work.
  4. not sure if somebodies mention it. didnt get time to read the whole thread but in an incident my mum had. She rear ended an old ass commodore, which was worth probably no more than $4,000 From what i saw, the damage, was simply replacing the rear bar, and maybe a bit here and there. Yet the insurance company sent the letter, with a bill of (can't exactly remember) but somewhere over $3,500. I was later told that AAMI, ('Just car' is their subsidiary), really over charge, like dramatically.... i'm not sure why but i'd assume, same thing goes with just car. Although insurance did take care of it.
  5. Luky you... lol... the cop actually changed his route and overtook 2 cars to get behind me... for a supposedly "Random breath test", when i got busted. hahaha
  6. It's not worth it, trust me. I got a $397 fine at 'the entrance', and if you are going for your Greens now, you will definately not be able to drive turbo. I got my greens 'literally' just after the law, and didn't check before buying my old car and paid the price. And you may not be as fortunate as me to not loose any points.
  7. I don't think they're your average bogan car thieve wannabes who decide to go out and steal an import. Better whatch out. If your not afraid of the law, y would you be afraid of guy with a clublock protecting his car??? F***** Thieves.
  8. Omg, I feel really sorry for you man. You didn't have insurance? y is it that all stolen cars seem to have these flaws. No immobiliser/insurance etc. . Are these thieves able to find things like this out?
  9. Lol.... beaches are awesome... but personally i don't like the big ones like bondi etc. something more quite
  10. i had this long ass stint on world of warcraft, until i realised im wasting my time. Then i bought a skyline. Now i've lost that aswell. Sooooooo, if anyones interested, i may be willing to giv up my account for free, as i haven't been on for like 6 months. gots lots of characters with expensive items.
  11. The thieves around there generally go for the $2 shop things. Has anyone came up with the idea of causing a setup for the thieves. Might take a few days, but try an park the car in the same spot all the time, get different mates to park around watching the car from far, once someone pulls up and tries to steal it, everyone just run up and beat the living crap out of him. lol.. or you could do what was mentioned above :-) with TT ACA, just read it now
  12. Lol... far from it. Australian Rugby League This is the travelodge close to martin place right????????? Working client... lol
  13. Whats ARQ , never heard of it ?? Interesting, i've been working there for like the past week , on a client.
  14. in my old car 1 cop thought my fuel pump was a turbo although before that thought my car wasn't a turbo, when i turned off my ignition. He said if its a turbo your engine should stay on, Despite my turbo timer clearly stating "Off". Their ability to defect is questionable.
  15. Lol.. heard them stories aswell, hahaha, but nothing happens. They just have awesome music there. But still be cautious
  16. Hey Mate, hope you have a mad trip as for clubs/bars, it goes by preference, depends on what you like: haven't been to many, but the ones i like are 'Famous' at Home nightclub saturday night - cockle bay wharf, darling harbour. 10/10 'Roxy Hotel' - Parramatta George street. 7/10 'DCM' at UN sydney on a saturday night - Oxford street hope you enjoy mate :laughing-smiley-014:
  17. Another Question in relation to the gear box, what is a common replacement? can you source one from another car or would it require a complete aftermarket gearbox. As i have heard of drifters using the R33 GTST gear box. Thanks
  18. I know i have expensive parts on there, although i'm not very mechanically experienced my self . So stripping the car will take a very long time, and i don't intend to pay for it to be done. lol. So i'm willing to let go of it at that price, beats the $0 i'll get from insurance ;-). Atm, financially im preety Fkd because of it, soooo now im just getting what i can, and thinking of what im going to do later on. Yes all four were on the track, i was just to the right of the centre on the straight. i don't remember seeing it at the track, but is the 100m mark, where the cones are, where you should start braking??
  19. coolies, thanks mate. haven't really heard much about it and dont completely remember it all, as my mates were on the roof and pretty much started running down as soon as the car slid towards the wall, unfortunately he only recorded my passes on the 2 laps before that . would've been good to actually see it on video.
  20. Btw, if anybody would like better images of the car, of certain parts (Accessible parts that is), please let me know, and i will post them up. Thanks
  21. Honestly it is a bit hazy and i dont remember much, It could simply be that i was carrying to much speed, as i neared around 195-200, and my car probably couldnt handle it. + i bought brand new cheap tyres (Neutons) which were fitted like 5 minutes before i headed to the creek. I do remember that the car just kinda slipped out after i let go of the accelarator and shifted to the brakes, (could of even happend as a result of braking, although onlookers said my brake lights didnt flash before it slipped out), i really dont know . meh, its over now .... plus im over it, hopefully i can get on a track again early next year , and its definately going to be a skyline. Btw, car is for sale http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...72#entry3607472 i want to sell as is, but maybe in a few weeks, i will sell off a few parts.. depending on what happens.
  22. I am not 100% sure but i think i can probably blame, attempting to brake a little to late. or, i actually changed my rear tyres about 20minutes before going on the track, (i arrived late). I put on cheap Neuton 235/45/17 tyres on the rear, as the old ones were completely gone. And didn't have the cash for an expensive alternative.
  23. down the straight at eastern creek. Turn 1 I did around 180-185 in the first lap. second lap must hav been 190+ maybe over 200 can't be 100% certain. As i don't completely remember. on the second lap, i lifted off the accelarator, moved foot to brakes, and the car twitched and slipped out from the rear, running into the pit wall. (I don't completely remember but i think i didnt actually brake yet when the car slipped). after hitting the wall, (Still cant fully remember what happend) but the brakes went all stiff as though the car igntiion was off, and went off track hitting the tyre wall. This isn't an accurate account, as its a bit hazy as to what exactly happend, buuut yea.
